Thank you to the comment regarding the rubber drum; it was helpful in replacing our hose. We'd like to add that we had A LOT more water than anticipated. Mostly from the drain hose itself. You could call it a "blond moment", but I didn't realize how much water was trapped in the hose we were replacing. The only other problem or issue we ran into was replacing the front panel. For some reason it would not sit right. We ended up putting the bottom screws in first and then the top. Still, one of the bottom screws would not seat all the way. This was a very easy instruction video to follow, very thorough. This project was completed by a Mother/Daughter team. If we ever need repairs in the future we will definitely use RepairClinic where ever possible.
omg. My friend was upgrading so she gave me her old washer. The hose was too short for optimal replacement and I ordered a generic replacement. Started to replace it today and thought I'd look up instructions as there weren't any in the manual booklet. This is an insane amount of work, the entire washer needs to be disassembled. It's scary that some engineer actually got paid for designing this crap. I will order a hose extender instead.
great video! I did the replacement in 90 minutes and I am not a plumber. Replacing the rubber drum (starting at 7:05) could be a clearer in regards to making sure the rubber catches the lip correctly.
Awesome video thanks a lot only problem I had was getting a new hose Lowe’s and Home Depot carry a generic for all and it doesn’t work had to order one but video was right on
Excellent Video. Great repairman. But is it really necessary to completely take apart the washer just to take off the drain hose? Apparently it is. I have an A20 error code. is the drain clogged?
What is the part # and where to buy this hose? I’ve had my electrolux apart many times so I’ve become familiar with it. Just hard tracking down the right parts sometimes.
Why make the video unnecessarily complicated? You could literally just take the top and back off and then undo the spring clip from the back, saving you half the time at least.
I can't believe it either. Almost wants me to throw the washer out and get a new one. My hose came kinked.. no matter what I did, it would kink up as soon as I moved the washer into place. This isn't my first rodeo. Extremely poor design, and poor quality hose.
Thank you for the video! I'm saving it for future reference. I hope I never have to replace the hose though. How long is the portion of the hose that comes out of the back?
Im using eww12753, anybody knows whats the exact diameter size of the drain host bcoz i need an extension for my machine. Can i use the universal size?

Why would anyone make it so hard to replace a hose. How dumb are the people designing this? My God.

about 4 feet but you must make it dip down to create a trap.. according to directions.

This is a ridiculous amount of disassembly just to change a drain hose!!
Personally I would just do it all through the back panel and wouldn’t worry about touching the front at all.
@@jonwaller6011 is that possible? easy? hard?
