Interesting parallel to the Biblical story of the Flood! These stories are a great addition to my midafternoon coffee breaks. And the narrator has a real gift for storytelling. Thanks!!
Much appreciated! The similarity of flood stories is big evidence for cultural exchange between Greece and Mesopotamia from a pretty early date.
@@WineDarkSea For sure. But is it also possible that the Flood really did happen, and that each of the early societies had their own explanation? If so, their priestly castes would have needed to explain why God (or the gods) allowed such a bad thing to happen...same way we still ask the same question today. Would appreciate your thoughts!
@@WineDarkSea , look up Robert Sepehr. You will not regret listening to his knowledge
It's a little to same that it make me think that Zeus may have been the one who caused the flood.
@@elizabethkass49 Yes...whoever (or however) one conceives the Real Zeus to be! :)
I have long set my back through endless journey across twisting mountain and wine dark sea in order to find stories of worth gifted from Apollo to man. My journey, at last, ends.
