For anyone following this guide, you can avoid getting any keys by just using a simple glitch to jump through the doors. You put a barrel down on the right side, then pick up another barrel, walk inside the first barrel (it’s only intangible when you first put it down) then jump into the door, it’ll force you through to the other side, or void you out. Voiding out just puts you on the outside of the door after about 6 seconds, so don’t be worried about an infinite falling loop. If you accidentally break the barrels, save and reload. This method still works in 2024, and allows you to get the ring and all the other equipment (two bows, a mage coat, and an archer outfit) without needing to risk dying at all. The only thing you want to make sure you do is kill your pawn so they can’t break the barrels while you try to use them to jump into the doors
I think I did this by accident when I first played, ‘cause I got control of my character for 1 second and then the next cutscene played. It made everyone mentioning how I bravely “attacked” or “fought” the dragon seem pretty silly. 😂
If you play on hard mode you can switch to easy and farm gems 1. Start hard mode and head to bitterblack isle 2. Collect the gems in both hideouts along with the one in daimon's chamber (if you feel like it) 3. Switch to easy then exit out to title screen (make sure to save first) 4. Go back on hard mode and grab your gems after restarting And there you go you can continue collecting until you open all doors (somewhere around the 3rd time you do it)

This was the best demo of how to get some good starter equipment and very good ring that will take out some grind of doing some leveling for augments. I would not have tried this without your detailed demo along with showing all the map routes as you went along .. that is one thing a lot of people explaining things in the game do not do. You might get a flash of the map once and then again at the end but along the way it very helpful. Thanks again. Just when I thought I was beginning to lose the way you pop up the map to show where you went, you describe all the hazards, truly excellent! I followed your video at level 5 and died an awful lot first run through but as I also saved an awful lot it was no big deal :) Certainly the worst is the gargoyle he one shotted me every time. In the end I found if I killed the first mage with throwblasts and then opened the chest at the end of the path and waited the gargoyle would come to me there and it was easier for me to kill using 2 throwblasts. After that it was plain sailing. Imo this isn't just a video on how to get the rings its also a video on how you should make an explanatory guide! Thank you again, I will very soon have my fourth ring and intend to see what's behind the other doors too:).

These rings are a godsend because as you level the class you are matters with your stats. If you're going to pay attention to that when you're building your character these rings make life a lot easier

I got the Dragon's Ire short bow on the other door. Good bow... Read it's the only short bow with permanent enchantment, so may be good to also get that if you're playing assassin. Has lvl 46 requirement, though.
We can set quick items in our inventory now, so that we could heal or gain back stamina without going back into the menu, for the PS4 its L2+R2+directional buttons.
Just a suggestion....On the third reset pick up the 'Dragon's Ire' bow in the room next to the 'Ring of Perseverance' room (a lvl 46 weapon) that may help you with some vocations in the future.
I love how i just bought the xbox one version which includes dlc and the special items from switching versions. I got the Eternal ferrystone which makes it so much easier than constantly running back to the black cat to buy more Also I defeated all bosses in bitterblack but I run away from Death
Great guide. You are a fantastic communicator. I dont think that restart method works anymore though. It deleted all of my data and I had to start over.
You told me to avoid the mimic, but you said sometimes it's not. I cast comestion and high miasma on it, and nothing happened... So I thought it was safe.... God damn those things eat through your health fast. Wasted a shit ton of health items to survive it's bite, then when I saw I was out of melee range, I thought I was safe, so I started casting comestion again..... And it started casting too... And I died...
I did it as a new lvl 5 strider. Was a bit challanging but very much doable. You just can't ever stop running and have to keep eating meat for stamina. Edit: I made my female character the lowest weight class (sub 50kg) and 185cm tall so she's just an absolute running machine.
Nice vids dude btw have you tried to forge the moon beam gem at the black cat dude I thought If duping the gem you could open all doors with the same gem without having to run the whole "race"
great guide but. there is no need to go through all that, seen as you can use the collision timer on the barrels to clip through the doors. there is a guide called how to have fun in ddda fast that breaks it down
Be careful when you're using this rings, I was using the first one I got and hit a guard by mistake in grand soren, the ring I was wearing got lost, probably a bug cause it;s a dlc item, store whenever you're not using it!.
I just had a few questions I was wondering about or wanted to make sure before I did the hard mode reset. So it only effect the story you don’t lose level or anything else right? And say you have 4 of the moonbeam gems already in your inventory will you keep them or will they be lost? As well do you keep the godsbane if you already at the post dragon point and any other of the items you get from the main story quest like like the dragon vest you receive from the dragonforge?
A Spellknight can wreck that big cyclops' shit so long as you can keep your idiot pawns outta the way. (I just ended up letting mine die rather than save their asses every 3 seconds.) The thing drops some loot that's required for certain gear upgrades, but even blasting it with magic takes friggin' forever.
But after the two first times you do it ( first easy mode + then hard more ) you get at the end two copies of the ring. My question is how to get the other two for the pawn ? Going back to easy mode and then again to Hard mode will do reset the story and the chests ?
NightHoff That's exactly right. I should have explained that you can change back to easy mode at any time without it restring your game. It is only when you go back to hard.

@@LemonEatingKow So I took the liberty of getting that ring for the first time and unfortunately I can confirm you cannot duplicate nor forge the ring under any circumstances. Nor ANY ring for that matter. Which sucks, but meh. 50% is better than 0% at least lol

You can skip fighting the dragon at the beginning by running into its fire as you gain control of your character.

When village is under attack but I remembered I have free will:

If you're playing assassin, dagger/shield combo is great mobility and defence for early level bbi loot runs.

Not recommended for very low levels. At level 7 the gargoyle 1-shotted me every time. Was able to do it at level 11 wearing the queen dress though.
Probably takes some luck, nothing in these rooms except the gargoyle is threatening.
Can we not just get the key with a highet lvl pawn and trade it to another one of our accounts so they can get the ring without facing the gargoyle?

Not sure if still works but being at level 30, really didn't want to reset everything for one more ring. One will suffice for now.
I tried this at 15 Strider and I die super fast in the helix area thanks to fire balls two shotting me. My health is 780

BTW good luck if you arent a Fighter from the Beginning. Dodging those Mageattacks while going up... not as easy as with a shield

I used the blink strike to boost myself super quick up to them and staggered their spellcast

I just used the AFK method to gain 99999999 discipline overnight.

So, say i have a lot of things in my inn storage, whatever its called. If i reset, do all those items carry over? or just the items in your inventory?
Everything carries over except your story progress. Everything in your inventory is automatically moved to your inn storage

Haven't tried that actually. But..... if you were to use the barrel glitch, this whole process would be MUCH faster.
