Before watching any performance of this you need holy water to protect you from Hobi’s hip, thrusts. This is what makes BTS so different from the other groups. Unusual choreo, hard hitting lyrics, it has it all.

My ARMY friends and I were at a club, and we met the DJ who was also ARMY, so they played some BTS songs for us, which of course my friends and I danced to. Then the DJ called me over to compliment my dance moves (I really love to dance) and asked which BTS song they could play for me, and I requested Baepsae!! 😎 I never once in my life thought I’d get to dance this song blasting at the club, but I’m so glad the DJ made my dream come true!!! 😇☺️

The choreography had so much attitude in it; while it still allowing each member to add their own individual and unique flair. I also gave a true LOL when SUGA lost RPS at the beginning so he did a variation of a twerk when he had to come forward to do the part. It would have been great to get some behind the scenes shots of the staff reacting to that.🤣💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you for putting this on UA-cam. This song is...many different things. I remember when I first heard it, read the translation, watched the DKDKTV explanation and thought about how it was such a heavy, deep story. But musically, it just sounds cool and exciting, put together with the satirical choreo that makes for an exciting live performance during which BTS shows us exactly what they think of storks.

I could not figure out how you were going to do a 2 hour video over a rather short song. Power packed song, but short. Well, you did. JHope looses his ever-loving-mind during this song. LOVE IT! This is one reason people used to say BTS was the bad boys of KPop. Suga is the funniest member of BTS in my opinion. His reaction to JH is a little taste of his humor. Another political song? ON is absolutely one.
This was part of their 'oldies' when I saw them live in 2018. So stinking amazing.

I'm hoping someone mentioned this, but RUN and Run BTS are two different songs. And the one they did at their last group concert at the world expo was Run BTS. So you should still check out the song RUN on the beautiful moments in life album.
Besides the hype-ness and meaning of this song, I think lots of army like the dance too 😍🤭😆. I remember when suga said that army likes j-hope's hip thrust. lol. Hilarious! There is also a video that focuses on j-hope for the last break dance part from multiple performances'. He is so good! I really like that you guys were able to pick up on how the choreography relates to the lyrics/meaning. They make poses too like the stork i guess. lol. And I think the hip thrust are as you say.

This song has been one of my favorites since I first heard it. And when you get the meaning behind it, you understand why BTS is so much more than kpop pops. They stood up and took a stand at such an early point in their career, addressing things that nobody had the courage to say. Another one of their very early songs that took on the school system is N.O. Always check and see if a song has an explanation video by DKDKTV, because if it does, it usually means there are cultural references that need explained for those who are not Korean and may miss key points. BTS has never been afraid to take a stand and address issues. Their writing is superb, and often overlooked, without doing a deep dive. And even without the deep dive, the music can stand on it’s own. You don’t get empty fluff with BTS. That is part of what makes them the kings they are! Btw, I really LOVED this, you guys did great!💜💜💜

I love this song! To me Bapsae is like best friend to Dis-ease. These two songs are just so cool. Obviously, the rapline killed it in this song but it's the fact that vocal line can blend in smoothly is like cherry on top. And Jungkook's part is actually my favourite part in this.

Most mesmerizing is definitely the dance practice. They had fun while totally dismantling the status quo of society. And all those leg movements they did symbolized both the stork’s long legs and the crow tit’s short legs. When V hit his foot he and the others were saying all this crap whining y’all that are in power are doing makes my feet hurt. The crotch grabs…well that was directed toward the mf’s…a direct fu to those who resist change lol. A true protest song on genius levels. Btw the concert where they are in black is the 2016 BTS Live Epilogue concert and absolutely a must watch…all I have to say is watch the jhope No More Dream dance break…that is all.

I’m an American woman who has lived in Europe for the last 35 years and because of that I have become fluent in German and Swedish. Perhaps it’s just me, because I have loved learning new words since I was a young child, but I frequently wonder how words or phrases have become “normalized”. As a teenager in the 1960’s I innocently asked my parents at our dinner table if they knew what the word “f🫢🫢k” meant, having heard it at school. After they stopped choking, they informed me that it was a word I didn’t need to know. They also clearly believed that my sister (13 months younger than I 😂) and I had utterly no need to even consider that sex existed in life. What I absolutely am fascinated about are the social adaptations, interpretations and usage of words that I have experienced in my life and “f🫣🫣k” is a prime example. As in this commentary. I “dare not” simply write the word because then I would be censored. But I am convinced that every speaker of English, and many who are not, has absolutely no doubt about which word I am using. Which demonstrates both how this word is becoming normalized and how powerful context is in the social changes of our world. By the way, I lay the responsibility for this “intellectual” commentary directly on you, because that’s who you are! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫶😂

1:08:53 - ish? Exactly!!! All the pelvic thrusts...a literal "F You" to the older generation/those not understanding what "this" generation is facing.
The guys somewhere explained these movements with the groin by the fact that the rich and powerful always fuck ordinary people, especially young people, in spiritual, moral and social terms. Since you carefully analyze all the lyrics of BTS songs, you noticed that they use a lot of idioms in cultural and social aspects and play with them cheerfully in the design of videos and dances. And at concerts they have a lot of improvisations and tomfoolery, V is especially good at this.
Okay I didn't see anyone answer the question as to why they use the hip thrusting move in their choreo. So I'm going to have a crack at it. This is just my personal opinion. But I kinda reminded me of when the "suck it" move was popular in pro wrestling. I think this is their way of telling the elders born with a silver spoon to quote unquote suck it. And I'm here for it.
