Saw this live this past summer...an absolute highlight of a great show...a check off my bucket list... somehow, I'd never managed to see him before... I just missed him playing a surprise acoustic show at Toad's when I was in college in the 90s and had regretted it so much...
Nothing like Bruce live. He's written close to 350 of his own songs plus hundreds of covers he performs live. I read that before the band goes on tour they rehearse over 100 songs. Most bands play the same 15 to 20 songs every night .
Great show! Bruce Springsteen is a star performer, no doubt! 👍 And i like your interpretation of it. We all need hope. 🥰🙏 And i really liked the guitar solo. Awesome! 💯👌
The "Nightwatchman" Tom Morello. It was the E Street Band . Tom a close friend of Bruce toured with the band that tour. Know it might be tough and probably be $$$$, but even at almost 74, might be good on your bucket list!!!
I interpret Atlantic City as a song describing 2 people trying to mend a relationship gone bad. They are going to Atlantic City to have an enjoyable night out hoping it will have a positive effect on their relationship. Atlantic City was similar to Los Vegas before it went bust. There were fancy casinos, hotels, restaurants, and top notch entertainment. Donald Trump had a hotel / casino there that also went bust. Atlantic City is on the coast of a state called New Jersey, the same state Bruce Springsteen comes from. If you do more Bruce Springsteen, I would recommend 2 of his most famous songs called The River, and Born in The USA. Both songs have great lyrics and tell a very touching realistic story.
The song is just "Atlantic City", the into part just describes the transition between songs. This is from his Nebraska album which is just him solo on guitar and harmonica. He's taken a few of the songs off of it and done them live with the band like this one. Another on from that album that's great full band is "Johnny 99".
Atlantic City used to be the place to go, when casinos were only in a few places in the U.S. Fun, food, boardwalk and beach. Now, not so much. Maybe AC comes back sometime.
Was the E Street Band. Occasionally he adds ither musicians, singers to the band for different tours. If you can how about a song or two from the 23' tour?

Loved High Hopes. So much energy. The Atlantic City was good but my favorite version was the Live in New York City show.

So you're saying that Atlantic City kind of died? But you know what they say.....
... maybe everything that dies some day comes back
Tom Morello was a stand in for Little Steven when he wa doing his acting.
