Having seen that performance, you won't be surprised by this: Bruce Springsteen is generally considered the greatest live performer in the history of rock and roll. It's not just that show. It's like every show he does.
That’s what you get at a Springsteen gig. Pure commitment from him and the crowd feed off of it. There’s no one like Springsteen 4 hour show . You get your moneys worth.
Back in June 1985, my Best Friend and His Wife took me To See 'The Boss" Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Frankfurt, Germany for my birthday. With no opening band, they played for two hours, took a 20 minute break, then came out and played for another two hours ... WHAT A NIGHT! BTW: Since it was their 'Born In The USA' tour, on the way to Frankfurt there were cars galore on Autobahn 3 with American and German Flags sewn together, bumper stickers, and banners everywhere. It was the same at the stadium during the concert as well ... ¡MAGNIFICO!
I saw Boss for the first time in 1978, when I was 17. I didn’t know his music and just went to have something to do. I Remember., He came out on stage at exactly 8 o’clock which is something that never used to happen in the 1970s. Concerts always started late … not this one. Next time I looked at my watch as we were walking out of the arena, it was midnight. He Played four hours and simply blew the roof off the joint. Changed my life. I had never before seen a man who enjoyed his work. What a lesson he taught me that night.
More live Springsteen. You cannot go wrong. Seen him 6 times he has the same energy each time for 3 plus hours. Wish I had seen him 6 more times. Feelings you expressed where same feelings I had every time.
@@SarahDengler Sarah, i think you might like, "Born to Run," the official video. It really showcases Bruce's energy, and connections with The E Street Band, and the fans! ❤️
We drove 700km to see Bruce 1985 in Frankfurt. That was his last song after more than 3hours on stage. Twist and shout was 20 min long. That epic night has Never ended until now……
I am so glad that you got it...Every word you used to describe the music, the band, the audience was so on point! Nothing is better than to really experience a great band live....So glad you enjoyed "The Boss*.....Bruce Springsteen and the E street band🎤🎶🎸🥁🎷🎸🎹
Known as the Boss, Bruce Springsteen is one of the greatest American rockers. He was all energy and blue collar grit. I saw him at Exhibiton Stadium in Toronto in '85 on his Born to Run tour. We all stood on our metal chairs for the entire three hour, 45 minute concert during which he came out for five encores. I went home and told my wife: "I'm in love with a man! I'm in love with a man!"
Hey Sarah, I get such joy from something I guess I've yaken for granted. Been listening to Bruce since the 70's and have seen him live, beyond compare.
A great reaction .The thing is he had already played 2 hours at this point. Go react to Bruce Springsteen Tenth Avenue Freeze Out live NYC 2000 official video. In his day no one could touch him
The level of genius it takes to put THIS song over the La Bamba beat with THESE musicians… 🤌 The E Street Band is not to be trifled with. Also, in conclusion, Conan O’Brien got so much great comedy out of this incredible drummer. Max Weinberg is incredibly underrated.
As a teenager in the early 1960's I heard severaL versions of this song. For me as an Englishman the version I remember most was played by The Beatles. I am not sure you have heard of this obscure English group.
Can I recommend an early version (circa 1975) of Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) - a great band at the peak of their power. This song has a fun twist as it’s a cover of a Beatles hit, and many years later Paul McCartney joined Bruce on-stage in Hyde Park, London in what turned into an amazing jam session, that went beyond the licence cut off time of 10pm. Bruce and Paul are in no mood to stop so some daft park official switches the power off thinking that’ll get them off stage, instead they carried on for a further 15-20 minutes acoustically, and not a person left.
Oh please, he’s always been political - the whole The River album is a repudiation of Reaganomics, Born In The USA is an anti war anthem, his early monologues between songs are political - “Blind faith in your leaders will get you killed”, his father’s relief when he failed his conscription medical. Not even mentioning his cover of Edwin Starr’s War (“what is it good for? Nothing”, his involvement with Stevie in the Artists Against Apartheid movement, and his vocals on USA For Africa’s We Are The World.
For nearly 45 years, Bruce Springsteen has been raising money for non-denominational and non-political food banks in each and every city in which he performs. He seeks out local charities and local organizations and has contributed millions of dollars to these and other similar charities. He has donated his time and his energy and his money, oftentimes behind the scenes.

Well…..
In 5 days I'm going to see Bruce in concert for the 109th time! Best live performer in the history of music!!

@JohnLedger-g4i when I saw him it was 4 1/2 hrs...no warm up band either!
There is no party on earth that comes close to a Springsteen concert…..this is why he is the boss!! 💕💕💕💕
I've seen him over a dozen times, (going back to the '70's) and each time has been pure joy! You can see why - one of the greatest performers ever.

Oh the joy of live music, of a rock show, with the audience and the band as one...
Every show has moments like this!
Your reaction says it all!! JOY!! JOY!! JOY!!! That's how Bruce makes us all feel. Live in NYC Tenth Ave. Freeze-Out and Light of Day.

Sarah, you MUST hear his greatest song: "Jungleland." It has everything. My favorite is "Atlantic City," very very powerful. Thank you! 😍
He touring right now! It's still a great show. He just played over 3 hours.
If you never heard any Springsteen before dip into any album you won’t be disappointed. Not only is he a performed he is a poet in his lyrics
I hope you get to experience this as well Sarah. It is other worldly. You deserve it.

RAMROD Live from Barcelona........WOW
So good😆!
Bruce Sang with Stevie Wonder on USA for Africa.
A good fun song It is like a cross of Chubby Checker - Let's Twist Again amd the Ritchie Valens La Bamba.
Attending a Springsteen concert is like having a religious experience! Only other performer I've seen that comes close is Bob Seger
It's Ba Ba Bamba. From La Bamba by Richie Valens.
♥
Sarah, if you get a chance, do listen to The River, by Springsteen.
Es sincera, es la primera vez que escucha la canción.
It's not by him. He is doing a cover tune.
I used to love him like a lot. Then he became a political activist. Like a lot of them unfortunately.
Oh please, he’s always been political - the whole The River album is a repudiation of Reaganomics, Born In The USA is an anti war anthem, his early monologues between songs are political - “Blind faith in your leaders will get you killed”, his father’s relief when he failed his conscription medical.
