    Such a sweet, charming & simple floral painting. The background tone and color really makes the flowers pop off the canvas. As with this and all your great tutorials....TFS!

    I absolutely love how you make each tutorial so approachable and doable for beginners like myself! Do you have any of these same tutorials in real time? I have a hard time grasping some concepts in fast mode.

    thank you for posting this! I have found my problem is learning how to load my brushes...i use either too much or too little paint and can't get those really nice lines you get. practice, practice, practice...any suggestions?

      It's such a learning process, but you nailed it on the head. Practice. Practice. Practice.

    Did you use acrylic paint over oil paint? I thought this was a no no. Can you pls. respond. Think you do this in other pictures??

  • @elliemerc01
    @elliemerc01 8 років тому

    Amy, it is frustrating to me that you never respond to any of your followers that ask questions. Other great artists here on UA-cam take the time to answer, comment and encourage their followers. This is common courtesy and helpful to those of us who need communication with teachers. Why do you feel you don't have to comment? Thanks, Belle.

    • @amerspearce
      @amerspearce  8 років тому +3

      Thanks for your comments, Ellie. I'm sorry you're frustrated. I want you to know that I am internalizing your words, and I'll see what I can do. Life is crazy for me, at the moment, but I'll try to respond more often. I do appreciate your participation, and I want you to know that I notice.
      Also, to be honest, sometimes I feel too overwhelmed to read and reply to comments. There was one point where I stopped reading and responding to comments entirely, because some people who comment are so cruel, and the negativity gets me down. It's as if the anonymity of the Internet makes some people forget that we're all human beings with feelings. My husband helped me remember though, that the majority of people who comment are kind and supportive, and with his support I'm slowly getting back to engaging with people who participate here. I just need to make sure that I'm soaking in the positive and not getting bogged down by the negative. You've been a positive person here Ellie, and I thank you for it.
      Sincerely,
      Amy

      +Amy Pearce (Her Art from the Attic) Dear Amy, I know that it's difficult when people get rude and make unkind remarks but like your hubby said, draw the kind people to you and disregard the unkind. They obviously have major problems and need to address them. Everyone wants to discourage people who are like you, talented, wise, and just a wonderful person. You are blessed and remember that God loves you, your followers do too and so do I. Happy new year to you and yours. (Dec.30/15)
