I am teaching myself to paint and value your videos so much. Your spirit shines and you make learning so much fun. A new delight for this 71 year young woman. Love it so much.
I've been looking at so many artist paintings trying to inspire me to try and paint a picture for one of my rooms and now I have found it. This one is perfect. Since I have never painting before this tutorial is just what I needed. I like to work in mixed media, but never painted before. Thank you Amy!
I have seen many tutorials on how to draw a tree, but, this was the first time I learn how to draw a tree with wind blowing. Amazing tutorial. Really enjoyed it....
I did this for my sons new living room and they love it...i used gray, white and pale pink instead of brown...its awesome...and 18x24 canvases (3)

Amy, I absolutely loved this three panelled painting. The colours are so vibrant! I really enjoyed watching you paint today. By the way, your baby is beautiful, I just wanted to say that, and that you are a very good artist. I really admire you.

I'm in Europe,i was talking to my wife in US. on Skype, and i told her to change the battery in the smoke detector.
That Amy's detector chirp is slowly becoming a legend.
I really like all these paintings that are on UA-cam and it's a great way for me and others to learn techniques and make something to be proud of. The only problem with me is that I feel like I'm copying you or someone else. I know that when you are starting something you will to learn from others, but still it just doesn't feel right. I hope I will get better and learn as much as possible so that I can start making my own unique paintings as well.
ah.. you spoke my mind.
mefi100
When you put it that way... Good point! As long as you give it your own unique spin I guess so that that art work defines your work.
I feel the same way, but I like the way mefi100 says it!
TheEternalScream this painting here is no way original, there are tons of them on the net. She is drawing a very simple tree and blossoms and doing it in the colors and blossom types that she prefers. But this is a generic pattern that you can paint also, just practice making the branches on paper first. Just google "painting blowing tree" and you'll see several triptychs like this one.

Hi Amy love your paintings...Do you have tutorials for the background of this particular paintin?
So beautiful tnk u
Hi ,I love it! how did you do the background?
Amazing. So beautiful. Could you posted what color you used back ground. Thank
very good!
Amy, thank you for the tutorials. I've already done the dandelion one, and thanks to your advice, it turned out wonderfully. I am now in the process of making this, just as you did, on three canvases. Problem is, I've tried it once already and it ended up in disaster. I'm hoping for your insight on this. I'm using acrylic paint on the background, and when I was painting/fading the background on all three canvases…they dried up too quickly for me to start blending with the sponge. Is it easier to use oil paints? Also, I noticed when using the dry sponge, it still left streaks and wasn't as smooth as yours. Any tips after using the sponge to blend?
I like to paint trees too :)
Nice!
Please do a video on the background!
