It's weird, my first console is the Gameboy and before the switch the GBA was my all time favorite console and now it's the switch. And my childhood is full of gaming nostalgia. But somehow now is the best time being a Nintendo fan at least for me
Gamestop is in some real trouble right now I think. They really didn't capitalize on the meme stock situation in any way. Now their stores are getting crushed because they just have too many brick and mortar stores (among other issues).
Actually they did they used the high prices to cash out BITS to reconsolidate parts of the company. How are the height train is long gone and their systems have long since released.... so yes they continue to be in trouble. Blockbuster all over again
My hot take, Super Mario 64 is a much better game than Sunshine, but I prefer Sunshine more. I agree with Josie on this one. Mario 64 is just hard to adjust now a days, and I didn't play it until I was a bit older, even though my older brother had a Nintendo 64 when we were growing up.
Well the reason it has so many hidden gems is because there’s so much shovelware some games got buried beneath the garbage that developers were releasing on it lol
Old man here. I cut my teeth on the Atari 5200, NES, and SNES. Josie's not wrong, SM64 ain't great. I don't like Sunshine either. I think they're both equally bad. I LOVE Super Mario 64 DS. THAT game was great.I despised that age of 3d games. N64 came along and I was O.U.T. out. I didn't like any of the console games... PS1, N64. GCN was when I came back to.
RGT I know you’re not meaning it in a weird way but you gotta stop introducing these ladies as just pretty objects on every show that they are a part of. You always comment about their appearance write out the gate, and every introduction (if you don’t believe me, rewatch some episodes). They provide a lot of awesome insight and perspective. It’s one of the main reasons I tune in.Im sure it’s all love, but If that were me that stuff would get old fast.
You know you can't just copy-paste games from one system to another, especially to the Switch which is completely different hardware than GC, Wii or Wii U. It does take work.
@@GiSWiG Of course. But, if you think Nintendo first party and Pokémon games are not minimum effort games, you are wrong. Again, not hating or saying they aren’t smart for doing so - they clearly are, because they know their audience will buy anything with their IP slapped on it.
They're also living within their means. Games don't take 5-6 years to come out, devs don't need to be laid off. Most games still don't release for $70. There's something in that for others to learn from.
Sunshine is leagues better than 64 even with the bugs. 64 plays horribly and looks horrendous. Mind you I played it as a child and had fun but the love for that game has faded
My hottest Wii take, the Wii's success is the reason we don't have Nintendo games on decent powered hardware. If the trend of Nintendo consoles not selling as well as their previous generation had continued after the Gamecube then we would have Nintendo games on PS & Xbox right now.
No, Mario 64 is not holding on very well. Mario Sunshine whereas do. Mario 64 has ahitty Kamera, shitty framerate and the controls aren't very good too. Mario Sunshine is only a bit janky in the levels without fludd. But everything else no. To compare it with Odyssey is honestly a joke right? 😄 Odyssey is maybe the best 3D platformer ever made.
"I'm no crazy, I'm a winner" is my new motivational phrase!!
Celia becoming a semi-regular guest is the best thing to happen to this podcast
It's a just great to see this podcast growing into It's own thing.
Agreed, it beings balance to the force
My favorite podcast episode so far! Sounds like the outro song is here to stay
RGT is uncancelable and I love him for that
Howard Stern is incognito and I am here for it.
Sunshine is an awesome game.
56:06 "you are a child" Josie's favorite hip-hop artist is CocoMalone. XD
Nate and his outro theme😂
Viewtiful Joe is a pretty good hidden gem for GameCube and PS2 that for some reason Capcom didn't want to continue.
My hottake on the wii: it was both a success and a failure. Mass appeal and sales. Made nintendo overconfident and we got the wii u failure
You could call it “bloated success.” I’d be interested to see what would have happened if Nintendo didn’t have motion controls.
Same that gimmick was huge for mass appeal
To this day Red Steel 2 remains one of the most slept-on bangers....& Excitebots is still one of my favorite racing games ever
I’m with Nate, I won a PS5 and an Xbox Series X via giveaways when they were first released. I never purchased any items to win.
How tf
As a fellow N64 kid I can totally relate to Celia's take on the games mentioned
Yay more Celia
Great episode guys!
Wii U also had the definitive version of Deus Ex (& Splinter Cell Blacklist on that joint was GOAT status)
It's weird, my first console is the Gameboy and before the switch the GBA was my all time favorite console and now it's the switch. And my childhood is full of gaming nostalgia. But somehow now is the best time being a Nintendo fan at least for me
Woooooow Tommy Tallarico.....I used to watch him & Victor's show on G4; didn't know he worked on Sonic
Also, I agree with RGT, The Conduit games on the Wii is amazing. Odd story in the second one, but still a great game.
What's the name of this other podcast he keeps on talking about?
This!
Nintendo Prime

Blockbuster all over again
was my first episode and man it is really pleasant to listen to
if you have to pay it's not a giveaway, its a raffle
This was fun.
I remember the light gun return thanks to the Wii. I really hope one day we get a an updated RE: Umbrella Chronicles or Darkside Chronicles
Josie is right about the new X- men shows art it looks too clean compared to the original
I think we'd all like to see Nate, but we aren't that lucky.
CELIA

You gotta play the unofficial PC or switch port of 64 to get the best experience of the game
Well the reason it has so many hidden gems is because there’s so much shovelware some games got buried beneath the garbage that developers were releasing on it lol
Hot take! Motion controls for Twilight Princess is still the best way to play Twilight Princess.
A lot of producers for something I can do with Teams or Zoom.
It's really funny that I have similar opinions on games like josie despite I'm like 10 years older or so. 😅
I enjoyed Donkey Kong 64. But I feel this game needs a remake and fix it's flaws.
Celia, Banjo Kazooie is so freakin good, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! 🍻🔥👌🏼
What? she played the game 10 times over
Celia is beautiful!
Switch is a Wii with HDMI output and motion control plus
Is this in apple podcast still?
Haven’t been able to find it fr a while now
Yep just search “game and talk” it’ll be there or here’s the link!
podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/game-talk-podcast/id1730424491
Thanks! Wasn’t popping up when I searched!
Scarface on original Xbox is the shit!!! Beat it 100% and had all the bitches following me everywhere. Great, great game!!!
The Godfather: Blackhand Edition was the greatest game on the Wii
I believe you will win peach game
With all respects, Celia is damn fine.
What is the first game RGT is licking? Can't understand him causw Josie was talking
Looks like a copy of Dreams on Wii

Rgt is deadass right about time zones there should be 1 world time.
That is impossible...
What we SHOULD be getting rid of however, is DST

If RGT doesn't want to be called sexist, he should stop saying sexist things, even if they're "just" jokes.
They are just jokes people are too sensitive nowadays online
Make it funny then
Nintendo still releasing minimum effort games at $60. Not hating, just calling it what it is. They know their audience.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Ultimate for $70
