I can't believe you guys didn't mention this, but when you 100% island flyover you actually get your own private island that hosts your own little house with a flag displaying your Mii. It's these little touches of character and detail that keep this absolute masterpiece as one of my all time favorite games to this day.
this is both exciting and upsetting news because as a kid I played island flyover so much that I think I’m like five landmarks away from being 100% but I CAN’T FIND THE LAST FIVE EVEN AS AN ADULT
There was a 3DS game, Pilotwings Resort, which was basically a fleshed-out full game version of the island flyover. I don't think it quite matched the magic of the original but it was still fun
As a child, that was my DREAM. I drew pictures of my Mii walking around the resort, having parties in the buildings, swimming in the ocean, I willed with all my heart for Wii to make a version like that.

This game is truly incredible. I remember flying around so much. This game is truly incredible. And nostalgic... The only thing ever missing from the game was bring able to walk around on the island, but at least we do have flying. I did find a game with lots of worlds and minigames and it does have open worlds, it's also a great game kind of like Sports Resort (not better than Sports Resort, but probably near equal) it's called Go Vacation and I think it's either from the Wii or Wii U but it's available on switch, too. Wii Sports Resort... So legendary. Playing it without dusting off the old Wii that somehow still works would be the best. The nostalgia. Flying in the airplane. Hours and hours and hours and hours, it never gets old.
my favorite thing to do on wii sports resort (as in i loved it more than any of the Actual games/sports) was actually the _practice_ for canoeing. there was a mother duck in the lake with a herd of ducklings and if you find her, all the babies swim away to different spots. you have to paddle around the lake and get all the lil duckies' attention so they follow you, and you bring them back to their mama 🥹 it was so fun i would just do that for like an hour at a time by myself (✨️only child things✨️) 😭
thats exactly what i would do, i would never play the actual canoeing game, i would just wander around the lake, look at the scenery, and get a bunch of ducklings to follow me around
When you guys showed the opening to wii sports resort i legit cried. Tears were rolling down my face. I don't think i'll ever feel again what i felt that christmas back in 2009
being a late 2000s kid was the best. i’ll never forget playing on the wii with friends and losing against my parents. wii sports resort will forever be my favorite game

I spent hours as a kid just cycling around Wuhu Island in Wii Fit Plus, and even more flying around it in Resort. It's crazy how much nostalgia I get just from seeing that aerial view of the island.
NO FRICKIN KIDDING! I've spent hundreds of hours running in fit (but mostly) & flying in resort. Wii Sports Resort is the one of the best Wii games, top 3.
I grew up on Sports Resort rather than Sports. I had Sports as well, but Sports Resort was my life as a kid. Good to see this game getting more recognition :)
dude same! we got the wii when resort came out, so i never knew anything else until years later. it is still so much fun, i’m so glad they got to share that childlike joy lol
Fun fact, my family got a Wii in the later years of its life, and it came with both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort disks included for free (and also the motion+ and jacket). So there definitely was a group that grew up with Resort as a pack in, even if that group isn't as large as those who had Wii Sports as their pack in exclusively.
This makes me want to: -place my controller on a flat surface -take a break -press a and b at the same time -stay hydrated -fly my plane into a volcano
this game was a key facet of my childhood. I loved it so much - especially how the island feels so complete. actually got a bit teary eyed at the end there - I'm so grateful I got to have that experience when I was little
Wii sports resort was my entire life for 3 years, I'm so glad to see it given the love it deserves. the music and graphics are so nostalgic, I think of it so fondly
Wii Sports Resort seriously deserved more love. Island Flyover and Swordfighting were definitely the game's highlights. Speaking of destinations like 11:08, there's also a cave where if you go into it at night, you can hear an eerie version of the main theme, and it's one of my favourite spots in Island Flyover.
Wii Sports Resort holds such a special place in my heart. I've been playing it mostly my whole life and I still love it to this day, it's the best in the Wii Sports series by far in my opinion. Wuhu Island is the best part in my opinion. I've never felt a feeling of home and joy with any other video game location and seeing it return in other games is always so special, even if it's been a while since that happened. Island Flyover really is the thing that _made_ Wuhu Island.
have you ever played pilotwings resort for the 3ds!!!! i've had it since its release and it's a whole game that's _just_ the plane stuff and it's still wuhu island. my motor skills aren't great so it was much easier for me to play on a DS than with a wiimote and imo it has all the charm of its predecessor, with the bonus of being on a Portable console (and in 3D when that novelty was fresh, as finnicky as it was back then). highly recommend if you've never played it.
@@yoursjuli I remember seeing that game as a playable demo at a target way back when it came out. I thought it was amazing they made another game with wuhu island as a kid
I totally understand what you mean about the sports having specific locations around the island. There's a real sense of place which brings immersion and plausibility to the activities. You don't feel like you're just playing some silly arcade game, rather you are pretending to be on holiday in a beautiful resort.
I’m so happy you gave island flyover it’s flowers. It’s always been my favorite game mode and I feel the exact same way you guys do. It’s like indescribable the feeling it gives you. Underrated sport
This was my second favorite Wii game. My favorite was Go Vacation, which was like an open world version of this game combined with the We Ski gameplay. And it had 4 resorts on the island with completely different environments and vehicles. It's an insanely underrated game and when you do well, you get your own private house in a private neighborhood that you can decorate and visit whenever you want. My sister and I played it for countless hours and neither of us are really even gamers
We dust off the Wii at some point every year. It's nice to see Dad and Grandma enjoying the resort and cheering us on at bowling even though they've passed on.
Okay but WHY IS EVERYBODY SLEEPING ON WAKEBOARDING!!!! Having a nice cruise while trying to get the highest score possible while avoiding obstacles was such a vibe!
Dude this takes me back to the greatest era of my life. The wii to me represented family, fun, and being myself with the people I love. Wii sports resort was a go to, and I rly wish I could get those days back again.
Because of the housing crisis I'm still there. I love it, but I'm wondering if it's better as a special memory. I do have my own house though in the back of the garden with my own garden and shielded off.
This video reminded me of all the wonderful times I had playing Wii Sports Resort when I was 8. I loved the challenge of perfecting every swordsplay course, beating every table tennis opponent, and flying over the island, discovering every location and feeling like I was the only person who knew that you could fly into the volcano. Now that I'm in college, I look back on these moments fondly, and I sincerely thank you for reminding me of some of my favorite childhood moments
I absolutely adored Wii Sports Resort as a kid. The Wii was my first introduction to video games as a child, and it was a great console to play with my parents who also weren’t gaming people. Everything you said about Island flyover is so true. And my dad and I would do cycling races against each other all the time. And I too would flip my shit when I couldn’t get canoeing to work. 11/10 childhood game.
Definitely agree. Very strong message that Nintendo echoed through their marketing. Ironically, because how different the gaming climate was in 2005/2006, the parents who the message was intended for probably never saw this speech💀
i miss the old marketing for things, but especially video games. instead of trying to subtly convince you that you need something they would just go, you NEED this, buy it RIGHT now or you're not cool and that's a lot more honest and entertaining than the ads of today
The thing that hits home the most is the generational sentiment and nostalgia towards playing the Wii that comes through in these videos. Just pure magic, it was the best gift I ever received as a kid.
Genuinely didn’t expect to cry a little at the end of this video, I think you encapsulated the childlike fun and excitement so well. I feel like I was transported to being a kid again in summer, sweating while playing this game but loving every second of it. Thanks Burback bros x
Man, island flyover is unmatched. Trying to get as many i points as you could in one go was so fun, so many of them were so well hidden. I remember the whale watchers one being a favorite, plus the two in the volcano. All the unlockables added so much, especially the two seater plane, which would randomly pick a mii to put in the back seat. You could make mii’s of your pets through wii fit and so sometimes my dog was in the back seat, other times it was my grandma, or my neighbor, or a freak of nature pig person I made. Also, the only place I remember that you couldn’t go on your plane was through the waterfall behind the castle, but other than that, anywhere you could find you could fly your plane, through street tunnels and really narrow caves under the island and all around inside and out the volcano. It was almost completely limitless. And I haven’t even mentioned the MUSIC! Top tier game, especially as a young kid. Now I need to go find my wii.
I love Wii Resort. There was a way to add your dog as an npc and when you played certain games they would join you (and sometimes help you like in the segway balloon game). I forgot this feature when I picked it up a few years ago and was greeted by my old dog. It was a sweet little moment that stuck with me
@@paleiosaurfr dude my mom and i restarted wii fit in early quarantine days and it had my childhood cat saved still and i was like wow i am here to do yoga but i love this and am going to cry
I still regularly play my wii. When I left for uni I would regularly play when home with my school friends, and now I’ve fully moved out I brought the wii and still enjoy playing the games with my current housemates 😊
I'm so glad they highlighted the island flyover. I'd come over to my cousin's house after school and exclusively play that part over and over again because of how relaxing it was
Ah yes. The flippin dog, flying the airplane and trying to shoot everything on the island, the sword duel. Truly the best John Wick prequel I could think of.
My university housemates and I spend hours playing this game multiple times a week. It’s a nostalgic blast from the past and still incredibly fun. Thanks for the video on this icon of entertainment
Enjoy it! We all graduated and moved away in the past two years, but in college I got a few of my frat brothers hooked on the Golf and Frisbee Golf mode of all sports. We spent way too many nights trying to set a new course record, think we got better than -20 for 18 holes a few times 😆 makes me so happy to hear that other people are getting to have a similar experience, I really do miss it
I’m so happy that others enjoyed it as much as I did. I can’t possibly communicate how excited I was when my aunt randomly showed up and had TWO motion plus modules
I do like how they made a return to Wuhu island for Wii Fit, with events set there and you could even use your pet in games. Wuhu also appears in some mario kart tracks, event maps and probably in a few more games. Island flyover was one of my favourite modes, and probably influenced my career path since I am now studying to become a pilot, and honestly, who wouldn't want to fly a seaplane.
For a time I really I liked doing jet ski free roam because I found out you could find whales around in random areas. Often times u could see them breaching out of the water or a tail flip and I was determined to do my darnedest to get as close to one as possible when it did. Maybe the coolest part was the fact that the whale would still be there once you reached the spot you saw it, a massive figure swimming just under the surface of the water and your jet ski, always left little me in awe. It was such a neat detail.
Woah. I found out about the whales via Island Flyover -- there's an info point dedicated to a small group of whale-watching boats, and if you wait around you can see one surface. But I never messed around much with the jetski. Maybe it's time to change that...
the ending really got me. it’s true, the family gaming dynamic has really been downplayed and lost. i would love to go back to playing video games with my family at christmas and thanksgiving.
15:38 This hit hard man, because I spent so many weekends being the first person in the house awake, and I would always eat breakfast and go play Wii Sports Resort in the living room and have some vivid memories tryharding against Miis in basketball
This video made me oddly emotional. I remember playing Wii with my parents and teaching my grandmother how to swordfight, and this brought back a lot of positive memories. Thank you for making it.
I’m gonna play a wild card, but I actually never played Sports or Sports Resort - I was a Wii Fit Plus fanatic. I absolutely loved the mini games like the jogging and cycling that took place on the island. Especially the flag-finding cycling game without a time limit - teenage me would bike around the island for literally an hour and see all the points of interest. So it’s fascinating to see the flyover game that highlights all the familiar locations!
One of my favourite memories as a kid was playing Wii Sports resort with my family on Christmas holidays. My 95 year old great grandma was in a wheelchair and couldn't hold a bowling ball anymore, but she still won our wii bowling tournament!
Resort was my absolute childhood. I loved Sports, but Resort? Every summer at my grandparents house, between sessions of swimming in the pool, my cousins and I would play this all day long. I miss that. It truly was just… good. Plain ole good. There is just a certain awe, peace, beauty, and love you feel playing this game.
this game was the only one my family ever played together, and watching this makes me miss those times. my parents are now divorced and i’m finishing college, so the nostalgia is really hitting me. missing those wuhu island times bro.
This game is so special to me. My cousins and I played it SO much. Especially the plane game, we used to take turns to play and all just sit around and watch the others and get excited when we found a new info spot! I fully agree with all points about it feeling so nice to realise this whole island has its own history etc. Absolutely lovely game mode!!
Wii sports resort is so underrated dude. I remember playing island flyover all the time during the different times of day, it was so cool. It felt like an actual place, and was such an improvement on an already great game in Wii sports. Not only was it fun to explore the map and learn about the island, I also loved randomly cutting the engine and either pretending I was gonna crash or actually crashing 😭
That's too damn relatable. Even more so if you flew straight up to the point where it eventually cut your engine off and you dive bombed straight down into the island
This game is so nostalgic for me, definitely one of the games I played most as a child. So weird to think about how old this game is now and how old I’ve become
island flyover saved my life during quarantine. i spent HOURS unlocking every single landmark on that island and it was the only thing that kept me sane
So incredibly nostalgic. I remember me and my family playing the marching band and tennis games. A fond memory was my grandpa playing the bowling game. He LOVED it. And would sometimes ask to have it set up so he could play again. RIP grandpa. And thanks Wii Resort for the great memories.
A big part of why this game hit so hard for me was because we didn't own a wii but my aunt and uncle do. Every midsummer when we go there is already incredible and the vibe of Resort perfectly matches it.
I love all the much more minute worldbuulding that Island Flyover provides with its info points. Like, for instance, how the actual tennis courts are closed because the dogs -- presumably the Frisbee dogs -- keep stealing all the tennis balls. Or the one or two nods to the island's runners, tying in Wuhu Island's appearance in Wii Fit. All these little details about the island's landmarks and natural features make the whole place feel so human and lived-in.
I was 4 in 2009 but I remember Wii Sports Resort so distinctly, I played it until our Wii broke down in 2020. I know the geography of Maka Wuhu like the back of my hand. This game has such a special place in my heart.
Not the last few minutes making me emotional. I remember so fondly playing Wii Sports Resort when I was 8 with my siblings on the weekends. It was just such a simpler time back then and I miss it so much. Thank you for the trip down memory lane, boys
That speech from Reggie was honestly pretty prophetic, even goosebump-raising in hindsight. Like...he nailed it. The Wii delivered exactly what he hoped it would.
You guys NAILED it this video, me and my brother spent hours when we were younger playing this. During covid I kept my eyes peeled until I found a guy selling his wii and resort JUST so happened to be apart of the games that came with. You guys got it down to a T with island flyover and the Sword games!
I wasn’t gonna leave a comment like this but seeing so many people share their stories here has compelled me to share mine. I always used to play the Wii with my dad. Wii Sports Resort was one of my fav games to play with him because of the warm and inviting atmosphere of Wuhu Island, on top of some of the already fun gameplay from Wii sports. he died suddenly last year, and the end of this video unexpectedly made me cry. I hadn’t realized how much this game, and the Wii itself, reminded me of him until you drove home how this was, in many ways, the first game console for the family. it’s comforting to know that so many of us have such a soft spot for the game despite it’s perhaps lack of commercial success. there’s a feeling to Wii Sports Resort that other games just can’t replicate and its legacy is going to outlast so many others
I really didn't expect anyone to make a video about how good and fun Wii Sports Resort in, especially in the current year. Even though the Wii is starting to become old, almost 18 years since it came out, it still has some great games like this one. I've always liked the Island Flyover minigame, I always replayed it so I could explore as much as I could. Really glad I haven't sold my Wii or given it to anyone, just feels nice to be able to have it here still after such a long time. Personally, I'm always gonna thank the Wii and the games in there for the fun that it gave me, even to this day.
The end of this video actually made me cry because it reminded me of how now that me and my brother are adults and have moved out that I'll never have those moments playing with my family in the living room just laughing and enjoying the time together. There's always times we'll visit each other, sure, but it won't feel anything like Christmas morning playing the Wii all together for the first time
This game was so definitive to my childhood. It took all of us to convince my mom to get a Wii and by then Resort was out. Given the probably hundreds of hours we spent on flyover alone, how the heck did I never think to translate that Morse code!!?!
Your videos about my childhood's favorite games/most wanted technology are SO nice to watch, in the most heartwarming sense of the word. I still remember playing wii sports boxing with my middle school friend and thinking she was so cool (yup, she was my first crush as a bi girl, but I would only find out years later lmao)
I’m so happy that you made this, island flyover will forever have a special place in my heart just trying to get to 100% didn’t expect to get as emotional as I did but the feeling of playing on the wii with friends or family will never be recreated from being a rock star on rock band/guitar hero then being transported to a resort
i think you guys do some really good skits together, i think they do often feel like skits which keeps the tone lighter, but i love the dysfunctional brothers direction.
I'm still so sad that they didnt give Wuhu Island a makeover and an own game like Go vacation. Where you could run through the world and then go to special places where you could do sports. I always wished they would have done that to Wuhu Island. Especially after you could explore so much more of it in Wii fit. I would have loved to just run around that island and explore it. But that plane had my heart, I can remeber ducking down when you try to get through a tunnel and the morse from the lighthouse. That gamemode was so much fun. I miss the good old days where I just walked into our living room to play. At least our wii still gets used at partys, because their minigames and Partygames are amazing.
i have NEVER heard of someone also knowing Go Vacation omg!! i had both of these games and I honestly never wanted anything more with how good they were!! there was a time here recently where I remembered how much I loved Go Vacation as a kid but didn’t remember the name of it - once I found it like 2 years later I almost cried!
This video made me so emotional, especially since they seemed to love the same specific games that I loved. I was born in 2002, which was the perfect age to grow up with the Wii, and this game might be the one I have the most nostalgia for. I'm SO GLAD someone else recognizes just how fun Island Flyover was. I remember being 8 or 9 and having 79/80 I points discovered, and having to log onto GameFaqs to find the last one. Sometimes I would just start it up and fly around, even if I wasn't on the hunt for anything, because flying around an island that felt like a second home was just so theraputic. You joked about deleting your dad's mii when your parents get divorced, but unironically my dad took the wii in my parent's divorce because it was technically his, and I miss games like this every single day. This video makes me wanna steal it back somehow lmao. Thank you guys for this trip down memory lane!
When I was a kid. I played Resort almost religiously. I’d fight with my siblings over a chance to play island flyover, and I made it a life goal to get every information spot possible. Man I have so many good memories of the game, thanks for making this video :)
My family loved Sports Resort! Even had my mom playing video games on a regular basis. We liked to play all the group games together and we'd encourage each other while playing the singleplayer games. Damn I haven't thought about all that in a while. Good memories :)
To this day, even if I don't play it unless it's a particularly nostalgic day, Wii Sports Resort is still one of my favorite games of all time. This was beautiful, guys.
My parents just had my wii robbed while moving houses. We are still very sad as we started looking back on all of these years playing together, laughing and beating each other asses. This video made had me on tears, this is a love letter to the wii 💖
just the fact that all these sports are all contained in one resort and the island has everything! even cliffs for riding your bike off of (my personal favourite) I’ve always wanted to live there, it looks like so many holidays packed into one, and its not even overflowing with tourists! 😅

As someone who got the wii in 2010 this game was REALLY comforting to me. Island flight felt like a huge expansive world for exploring
Exactly ❤
Same I got the black Wii with Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort bundle on Christmas 2010. Magical times. I now work as a full time game dev with SEGA.
what a touching tribute to matt... really brought a tear to my eye.
Same actually msde me sad
Wii sports resort was my entire life for 3 years, I'm so glad to see it given the love it deserves. the music and graphics are so nostalgic, I think of it so fondly
Wii Sports Resort seriously deserved more love. Island Flyover and Swordfighting were definitely the game's highlights.
Speaking of destinations like 11:08, there's also a cave where if you go into it at night, you can hear an eerie version of the main theme, and it's one of my favourite spots in Island Flyover.
So nice of Tony to invite this stranger on the channel!
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.104dont read my ass
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.104ok i won’t
Nice, but naive. Don't trust strangers, especially ones who look like that.

Your comment feels like it should end with the hotel Mario “Ay Luigi?”
the serenity i felt flying that plane to look for landmarks is a feeling I have never been able to replicate
@@yoursjuli Unfortunately I haven't, but I do want to give it a shot, it looks very fun. I've been looking for it in second hand game shops.
@@yoursjuli I remember seeing that game as a playable demo at a target way back when it came out. I thought it was amazing they made another game with wuhu island as a kid
@@yoursjuli I have!
I totally understand what you mean about the sports having specific locations around the island. There's a real sense of place which brings immersion and plausibility to the activities. You don't feel like you're just playing some silly arcade game, rather you are pretending to be on holiday in a beautiful resort.
wii resort was my favorite game for years. i’m so happy seeing it get the appreciation it deserves

I’m so happy you gave island flyover it’s flowers. It’s always been my favorite game mode and I feel the exact same way you guys do. It’s like indescribable the feeling it gives you. Underrated sport
Your impression of the parent "trying" the game when you try to show it to them is spot on.
Same! I loved Go Vacation! Such an incredible game. Brings back all the memories.
same I LOVED go vacation!! two years ago I got it for the switch and became a fanatic again 😔 reliving it all.
I was so obsessed with GoVacation. It often felt like I was actually on vacation. Truly an immersive getaway game.
My gosh!
Was looking for that comment!
That game was just so much vacation fun, and yet so many people don't even know it exists!
I did not expect you to talk so much about island flyover, that was my absolute FAVORITE mode as a kid
We dust off the Wii at some point every year. It's nice to see Dad and Grandma enjoying the resort and cheering us on at bowling even though they've passed on.
this is so sweet :’))
This made me tear up, sorry for your loss!
Did NOT expect that last part but it was beautiful😭❤️
:’)
Okay but WHY IS EVERYBODY SLEEPING ON WAKEBOARDING!!!! Having a nice cruise while trying to get the highest score possible while avoiding obstacles was such a vibe!
WAKEBOARDING IS AWESOME i had to havw the top score 24/7 its so fun when you get good at it to chain tricks
Wakeboarding was my #1 and still is!!
Wakeboarding is a top 5 on the game
the wakeboarding success sounds forever release dopamine for me
wakeboarding was FUN and they didn't do it justice. imo it's in the top 3 (with the swords and the plane)
Dude this takes me back to the greatest era of my life. The wii to me represented family, fun, and being myself with the people I love. Wii sports resort was a go to, and I rly wish I could get those days back again.
At the time the controller tech was so surreal my school bought one and pulled kids out of classes to go play it for 30 minutes
Holy cow! That Reggie speech was actually super good! What a clear and simple message to convince parents that "This is the console for families"
No fr I’m sitting here cheesing
Genuinely didn’t expect to cry a little at the end of this video, I think you encapsulated the childlike fun and excitement so well. I feel like I was transported to being a kid again in summer, sweating while playing this game but loving every second of it. Thanks Burback bros x
I literally cried at the beginning when they first mentioned the whole family playing Wii Sports 😭
Im at the part where the miis are skydiving to the island and I have a cheesy grin on my face, it was genuinely such a good game
Guys, this was incredible. RIP Matt, you were the best trainer the world has ever known..
Glad to see the greatest game of all time getting the recognition it deserves from my favorite twin UA-camrs. The vibes of this game are just perfect
unmatched in every capacity
It’s you! Love your Wii videos man
I love Wii Resort. There was a way to add your dog as an npc and when you played certain games they would join you (and sometimes help you like in the segway balloon game). I forgot this feature when I picked it up a few years ago and was greeted by my old dog. It was a sweet little moment that stuck with me
The pet NPCs are from Wii Fit! I think a lot of the games in it are set on Wuhu Island as well which makes it so much better.
I grew up with this game and this is the first I’m hearing of this feature… i feel I’ve missed out on so much
@@paleiosaurfr dude my mom and i restarted wii fit in early quarantine days and it had my childhood cat saved still and i was like wow i am here to do yoga but i love this and am going to cry

I still regularly play my wii. When I left for uni I would regularly play when home with my school friends, and now I’ve fully moved out I brought the wii and still enjoy playing the games with my current housemates 😊
I'm so glad they highlighted the island flyover. I'd come over to my cousin's house after school and exclusively play that part over and over again because of how relaxing it was
This made me cry a little - remembering how my whole family would have a wii sports bowling night every weekend. I miss those days quite dearly
Sameeee
Ah yes. The flippin dog, flying the airplane and trying to shoot everything on the island, the sword duel. Truly the best John Wick prequel I could think of.
Hey, it’s me. Your dry skin.
The sword fights and biplane flies were AMAZING

My university housemates and I spend hours playing this game multiple times a week. It’s a nostalgic blast from the past and still incredibly fun. Thanks for the video on this icon of entertainment
You and your housmatw proble played the exact same time that gis and eddie were playinf together
It was such a neat detail.
woah I don't think I ever discovered that, how cool!!!
That part with Matt genuinely made me sad. Rest in peace, you absolute legend
Wii sports Resort literally made my childhood and I appreciate someone making a video on how amazing it was
15:38 This hit hard man, because I spent so many weekends being the first person in the house awake, and I would always eat breakfast and go play Wii Sports Resort in the living room and have some vivid memories tryharding against Miis in basketball
This video made me oddly emotional. I remember playing Wii with my parents and teaching my grandmother how to swordfight, and this brought back a lot of positive memories. Thank you for making it.
I remember getting a Wii several years after its release. It came bundled with _Wii Sports_ and _Wii Sports Resort._
My siblings and I loved it.
ME TOO!!! I also loved the balance games
The stepping game on the Wii Fit (or Wii Fit Plus idr) was so fun! I still remember the song they used for it.
Me too!!😊
I had both and thought they were both amazing!!
yesss omg i loved the jogging game, it had such a similar feeling to how they described the flyover game
I remember cutting the engine once so that I could land in the water alongside the whale watchers lol.
I always loved that Epcot/Waverace/Wii Sports vibe. That kind of "we are the world" happy aesthetic. We need to being that back
Riding a dolphin out into the sunset baybayyyyyy!
A big part of why this game hit so hard for me was because we didn't own a wii but my aunt and uncle do. Every midsummer when we go there is already incredible and the vibe of Resort perfectly matches it.
I feel like these videos have just been getting better. Eddy and Tony’s chemistry are just perfect… it’s almost like they’re related??
This game has such a special place in my heart.
this video made me feel old as shit and the fact there are people who were 4 in 2009 makes me feel absolutely decrepit hahahaha
@@ensommeille5315 yeah and now i'm an adult in college so thats even worse
That skydiving intro would always make me tear up as a kid. There was something really grand about it.
I loved this game. The sword fighting against swarms of enemies was awesome and the piloting was relaxing and satisfying.
I remember getting my ass beat by goateed bitch Matt everytime on the sword fighting. Especially on the bridge
Guys, this was incredible. Great to see Tony really come into his own on these.
Why did I burst out laughing when he said "Matt hit the water wrong" 😂
I love how accurate eddy’s mii looks, like yup that’s you
I really didn't expect anyone to make a video about how good and fun Wii Sports Resort in, especially in the current year.
There's always times we'll visit each other, sure, but it won't feel anything like Christmas morning playing the Wii all together for the first time
I remember slam dunking on Matt at the buzzer to finally beat him was the highlight of my childhood.
Okay but the rendition of Ava Maria you guys used at 14:22 was lovely. I wish I could figure out who was the one singing haha
Not the Matt flashback montage making my cry on a nice Saturday afternoon
This is what switch sports should have been.
Its nice when Eddie remembers password to *real main channel* after 2 months
This brings back memories of bowling on wii with my parents and grandparents, truly one of the experiences of my life.
15:18 *grieving loss of Matt*
2 seconds later: BASKETBALL!!
