Riding with people better than you is by far the #1 tip imo. I spent several weekends with friends riding (love them, but they're newbies, newer tahn me anyways) and I found that I wasn't really pushing myself that much and got spooked easily. Spent one day with a bunch of people who were blazing past me, and I pushed my comfort levels so much and felt like I doubled my skill in one day, way more comfortable on steeps, icy, and with speed. Now I just gotta find someone to mentor me in the park!
Dude so spot on!!! You have to!
Facts!!!
Exactly what happened to me today
Agreed, also try riding with people with a different style or people who prefer different terrain.
@@McDuvel Will do! Thanks!
“The best in the world fall” a lot of people need to hear that, say it louder for those at the top of the run
Yewww!!
"Snowboard every single day, no matter what."
Me who lives in Texas and gets to snowboard 5 days a year:
There’s 5,000 flights leaving Texas every day.
@@CaseyWillax That inspiration tho
Casey Willax that’s very expensive man 😂
Pack up and move.
Yo dude I lived far from the mountains so I moved out to them to follow the shred. If u rly love it moving to a ski town is awesome. Meet like minded people and make some great friends. On top of getting to ride every single day.
"I barely wax my board, I just start up higher" haha Bigggg facts, who's got time for wax??!
Bhaahhaha
I wax my board every 4 time riding
Best vids ive ever seen you do man! From the advice to seeing the failures, this is what a snowboarder is. If you want to be good put the time in but be prepared to fall. Its part of the game, best advice you gave was not being embarrassed to fall in front of everyone. These words are so true. Most parks are located right under a lift so you cant be afraid to try new things. If you fall so whatt, get back up lol really great video man, im hyped to finally be back on the snow after a year of recovery. You've helped me get my "Stoke" back...Cvlogs if you havent subscribed, do it nowwww
Yeeeeeeeewwwwwww
Dudeee thanks so much! You know it all too well, stay at it!
How to get better at anything: stack days on days of practice in short periods of time 👌
And quality practice! Yeww!
"Not really a tutorial guy" 10,000 tutorials and you will be a boss tutorial guy
Trueee but not my end goal hahaha
This speaks to me on such a level i can't word.
All season i couldnt wrap my head around a few tricks and this video just changed the whole mindset on going for tricks and i get out what i put in.
Thank you and keep sending.
So happy that passed along! Its the real truth!
A man full of knowledge. Experience is the best teacher. When I need to stay focused....I jam to ACDC or Led Zeppelin...crankin!
There you gooo!!
Also - snowboard is all about feel and style. Simple things can be executed stylistically and look amazing.
I love your channel man. You got my blood going in anticipation for my first runs this year!
thats why im here!!!
"Never be afraid to fall in front of anybody, the best in the world fall"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤
Yeeewww!!!!
My inner voice......”uh your about to pass by a group of snowboarders, quick do that one trick you can do!” Hahaha
teaching may not be your thing as you said, but the stoke y pasión es real manito! super sick video 20mins flew by dude. its like a tv series rivaling neighbours and home&away
Hahah thanks man, I try my best!
Casey you're videos are amazing man!! You're such a positive dude and you're straight forward. The kinda stuff people want to watch. Keep it up dude. Keep being positive and you'll attract the right people and get the right energy out of your viewers. So sick dude. Discovered you today and you're already my favorite snowboard vlogger.
Nooo way!!! Thanks so much, hyped to hear that!!
Just wanted to thank you for the motivation and inspiration. I started getting into bulletproof coffee with your help watching old vids. Never drank coffee in my life , I'm 34 . Loving the bulletproof . I had just put an order in the day before you got your promo code . I placed another order anyway with your code the next day. Happy to support The Dream any way i can ........ on another note I was wondering how I never saw you before at mt snow , then it hit me . I remembered last season seeing someone with a camera throw a nolly front flip of the up box . I was so pumped watching from the lift , I yelled out loud . I don't have any inverted tricks , since then I have been practicing the nolly front . I blew my right peck muscle partially off the tendon 4 yrs or so ago on a 60 ft step up at Jay , doc said it was unrepairable . Since then I backed off larger hits , slowly working my way back up. You have become a very positive influence in my life , thank you . For The Dream !!!!!!! Yewwww ........ I will grab some stickers when you're back in the states
Legend
DUDEEE!!!! STRAIGHT UPPP LEDGENDDD Thank you so much you have nooo idea!!
Dude you are such a LEGEND, your positivity and commitment is something I try to spread. Your on another level man.
ps I'll be buying a few stickers to spread this vibe and everything you "and I" are about on the hills in Colorado!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW
I appreciate that so much man! For the bigger picture!!
Yew!
Yewww! I need stickers too! PMA all day!
Just found your channel and I've been binge watching it all day. Love the videos and your attitude man! I'm in my senior year at CSU so I'm a weekend warrior currently but after graduation I'm building out my van to live the shred life like you. Good luck man!
Heck yeah so stoked to hear that thank you!!
Casey dropping gems 💎 this whole video. This is my favorite. Gets me hyped every time 💪🏽
Yewww!!
This video just came up on my feed and you got me stoked for the upcoming season! Loved all the advice you gave and it shows in your riding that it works! I may not have all the time I wish I did to devote to riding, but you’ve encouraged me to make the most of the hours I do have on the hill. Liked and subscribed!
Brother that means so much!! So happy to spread the good word on working hard to get the progress!!
Dope man ! You have a nice clean style bro. I've been riding 30 years now. Well seasons, never got to do back to back winters. Love your tip , HIKE !! It's my number 1 tip to ppl as well.
Top 3 would be.
1. Hike
2. Put in the work
3. Positive mindset always ! ( you get negative take a chill break )
Subbed and liked to get amped for Canada's snow season.
So stoked to hear that bro! And you are spottt onn!!!! YEWW!!
I’ve basically watched all of your vids and I want my life to be like yours, shred, live life to the max, travel and be with the boys, keep it up brother love from aus ❤️
your on it man!!!!!!
Casey thanks for sharing! Yeah, ride with someone better than you!!! And these are great tips for anyone from beginner all the way to advanced who have been riding so long, they forget some of these simple things. Bro, you have the knowledge and credentials from all of your hard work to back it up!
I appreciate that SO much!
I've starting to watch more and more into your archive and I have to say, this one is up there.
🙏🙏🙏
Seriously... thank you!! I been putting in my time, still got so much to go but it’s super motivating to see a video and a personality like you man! Easy sub.
Thanks so much! Grateful to have ya!!
Completely agree that staying positive is so key. Thanks for the hints!
Bro you get me pumped with the lingo and your killin it keeping everything stoked!!!
I love to listen to indie when i ride backcountry or something like that and rap when riding park, the music makes a lot of difference.
Big time!
Found out about you from David, glad that he shouted you out. Keep doing the good work
Such a good Mate!
MRevilsnowman23 same goes for me
i like drum and bass when im really in the zone. some of the funniest moments are when your favorite song comes on and then you wipeout because you get too ballsy 🤣🤣🤣
Love chasing the dream man. Your commitment is unbelievable!
Awesomeness man!!
I’ve watched a few videos of yours now (snowboard fever in middle of summer) but this is the one that made me subscribe. Appreciate the motivation and keep it steezy bro 🤙
🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️
so many true words, the challenge is to keep reminding one self of all of this when riding. thats why driving 7 hours just to ride a day and a half is what I do, always worth it!
Been there brother! Conscious snowboarding is hard! But do-able!
Thank you much for sharing your secrets! Probably the best snowboarding turorial video i have ever watched!
I appreciate that so much!!!!
Favorite snowboard video, real talk. Keeping it 100... you have to stay humble to keep the dream alive. Snowboarding is a cruel mistress, she requires hard work and time.
FACTS BRO!
Damn the positive vibes feel so good 😍 I usually don't watch longer videos but these 20 minutes went by so fast! Keep it up!!
Longer vids just mean more pure fire
Positive feelings. I needed that in my life. I appreciate you and what you're about. Thank you.
Absolutly!! FTD!!
So many REAL tips in there!! I have watched this vid many times before, and still take a lot from this! THANKS! EPIC 9! STOMPED IT!
Visualisation, see it, then do it gain! Thanks for the positive vibes! Keep em flowing!! Woohoooo!!!!
stoking!!!
super hyped, just book the flights and got my epic day renewed. hope I learn and have fun this season
Yesss mann your on it!!
Hey Casey love what do you doing! This video has given me so much motivation to keep pushing my snowboarding.
You are sick on a snowboard, tricks are so smooth, you must have put in loads of hours and effort.
Keep shredding man!!!
Thanks so much for that means a lot!!!!
I’ve got 30ish hours spaced over twenty years. Majority of that was in 05! I’m going this season thanks to Cvlogs... I’ve got a massive Snow Jones in my Bones
30?????? Get out there baby!!! Yeww!!!
Thanks so much!!!! Loads of good advice in this edit! The best advice imo is "don't be afraid to fall in front of anyone". Afraid to fall = afraid to progress. I mean, good practice always, and go back a step or two to get the individual elements of a trick down if you have to - but never worry about what other ppl think. I go back to green runs all the time now just to work on flatland buttering and it's sometimes hard to put in the hours, but it's about getting better
You said it all brother!
Epic vid Casey! Everything you said only solidified what I believe in. Thanks and keep up the shred.
Thanks right back!
I love your attitude brother. That's the mentality of a successful man.
Big love!
Love the positivity bro! Last run what what! Subscribed.
Yewww!!!!
wow great tips.. you’re an awesome teacher and very motivating/inspiring
... so true about the gear too, but i just bought my first regular camber board exactly because i was reverting a lot.. never realized it could be because of the hybrid camber... can’t wait to try it- such good advice you give about putting in the work!
so many want it dropped in their lap-
i just doesn’t work like that
but yeah-great job and thank you 🙏🤙👍😉
You know it man!! Thanks so muchh!
I've shared this video with a ton of my homies, I always quote your shit when I get down on the mountain! Thanks casey
Absolutly love to hear it 🙏

Thanks brother! Allll time RN!
This is really inspiring bro. And also the fact that you're so genuine.
No other way!
You deserve 100k+ subscirbers, bottom line. The positivity and real talk are what we need to progress and love life. Thank you for all you do and maybe see you this winter!
Ayy thank you right back brother!!
Your snowboarding tutorial are way better than most of the other snowboard youtubers out there thanks man!
Thanks so much Victor!!
Great vid bro, love this. FOR THE DREAM!!!! YEEWWWW!! always watch the full ad's, help where we can.
The appreciation is alll time!!!
I hear so many people try to tell me how to improve my own snowboarding but iv never heard such positive and encouraging tips. I go riding down at Perisher every second weekend once seasons kicks off and I'm so keen to get back down there and nail all the tricks I haven't gotten yet, hopefully, with ur tips I can finally get those tricks down!
yes man stoked!!!!
This video is so awesome. Found you on Bomb Hole recently after picking up snowboarding last year before I turned 40. I didn’t think I could jump off boxes this season. For sure I fell under the lift line for everyone to see but like you said, to play it smart, only do what you know you can do and keep doing it. That’s my motto and ride as much as I can into my 70s.
You’re a legend for picking iy up!! Yewww
love how positive you are
Much love!
Your attitude towards life is awesome man stoked to find your channel!
Stoked your here!! Thank you!!
Had such a blast meeting you at A-Basin today. You were absolutely killing it, and your advice is so spot on here. It actually made me go back and look at the hours i put in last season.
Heck yeah man stoked to hear that!! Keep up the grind!
I watch this video every season. Awesome motivation. Thank you Casey.
Much love!
Dude, subscribed to a few upper level channels and your mentality is most identifiable to me 🤘🏽 it's all in your head and what you believe you will attain. Hella appreciation to you taking the time to put this together and I look forward to learning and stealing tips from ya 🤘🏽 keep on rockin'' the free world 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Yewww big love homie!
Solid tips my man. Might I add that many of these tips apply to other things in life as well, not just snowboarding. There is always a constant battle with how we look in another person's eyes, at least for the ones who are more intelligent and sensitive to their surroundings.
The key is to not let yourself become ignorant, which ultimately leads to self destruction in the long run. But... The truth of the matter here is to be good at anything, it takes time, practice, and most importantly, dedication. The 10,000 hour rule is a prime example of what it takes for a human to successfully divide themselves from the masses of amateurs to become masters of their own craft.
Bro, heands down the most spot on comment. You know what good brother, keep at that! FTD!
Love your mentality. Subbed. Keep up the videos. More people will be coming to watch you with your mind set. Thanks for videos bro.

One step at a time brother
I watch so many different snowboarding youtubers, and by far I think you are my favourite! I’m shocked you don’t have a few hundred thousand or even a million subscribers
And I gotta say man this speaks to me, I hit the park all last year and ive been so nervous for this season and I’m probably one of the not so good guys there. But I gotta shut out everything else and just not give a shit.
Thanks so much!! Someday!
Long time skater, but just discovered your channel recently. I just made the decision to get some gear and then UA-cam recommended me your channel and I was like oh yea totally it’s a sign time to shred the mtn! Gonna get my gear soon can’t wait to slide around on a snowboard
Yeeee YOUR STOKING BRO!!
Easy the 5th time i've watched this vid. Thanks for all the good vibes brother!
Hell yes!
I think your advise of never be afraid to fall or what others think is key. Great advice.
Hey man havent visited this channel in a while (focusing on school and what not) but im getting ready to go snowboarding again! Good to see youre getting a lot more views man. Keep it up... forgot how good your editing was.
Thank you so much man!! Stoked your back hahah!
im 22 years old, 6'7 tall, 265 lbs, and tried snowboarding for the first time yesterday, i had an absolust blast, one of the most free feelings i have ever had, with my weight i got speed reaaaaaly quickly, i ended up going right into a trail and thats how i learned, i went down the mountain pretty much facing forward on the snowboard, but it was working for the most part, i slowly started to rock the board back and forth until i knew what the board felt like and how it reacted to the grtipping of the snow, I eventully went full send and turned and went full speen down the mountain, full body flips and whipe outs, my body is soooooooore, never knew snowboarding was so physicaly demanding, deffinetly getting bacl out there and spredding the NAR!
Yesss great story glad you had a good time!
Big follow. This seasons gunna be the season I’m up in the mountain 4-5 days a week. Thanks for help reminding me about the mentality you need.
Lets gooo!!!
Here's a penny for your awesome vibes man. Keep up the good work, much love man! 💕
Thank you so much!!
Found your channel in march because you boarded in Zao and i wanted to show friends what it was like when i got back from there, turns out you were there only weeks before i was, i was there most of Feb! now I find your old vids where you're shredding perisher (where i learnt to snowboard) and you're staying with some people in wollongong (only 2 hours from where i grew up) SO crazy.
Loving your stuff man, already watched every days vlog since i found your channel, now im going through the old ones
