  • Testing out the Snowboard Addiction today, and was honestly blown away. From the extreme exercise, to the proper snowboarding training style, and overall relativity to snowboarding I would say it’s an amazing choice for offseason snowboarding practice! Hope this videos stokes and helps all of you out, for the dream!! - C Dub 10/27/23 #1345 #cvlogs

    I've been eyeballing this Snowboard Addiction practice board for ATLEAST 3 years now, but I never pulled the trigger because I never saw or heard a thorough review of the useage, and practicality. This is by far the best breakdown of the product out there.

      Tramp board changed my flip game for life. It has a foam bottom, so no good for rails but i practice rail tricks onto a cheap foam roller sitting on 2 small bean bags. Works great for body position and accuracy.

    been using this thing for the last few years and I deff think its helped my progression a ton, even if its not exactly the same feeling as a rail it gives you the confidence to try it on a real feature because your body knows the motions.

    Casey! Really insightful technique discussion in this video.

    After last season ended, I had some wooden posts kicking around and I made a jib setup... Practiced all this so much I broke my skateboard, so I swapped to my old full sized board and practiced a ton... Much more difficult on the heavier boards, but I feel so much more acquainted with rails than I did before.

    I'm gonna be going hard in the park more this season as its part of my goals I've set for myself. So would this be good for me to use beforehand? Or should I try and get a little bit of real world experience first as a better way to introduce this into my riding?

    • @MidwestSteeze
      @MidwestSteeze 10 місяців тому +2

      I've had my setup for a little over a year and am very comfortable in the park and i will say this.....I used this jib board/rail in my basement over an entire summer to learn ollie backside boardslides from the side of the rail, not directly from straight on (something I just never bothered to learn/try). The first time I took it snow after training for so long and was rolling up to a tube, I literally pretended I was in my basement and did the EXACT same Ollie and Twist movement I did at home while instead riding up to the rail and I landed the trick smooth as butter. It was this incredibly weird moment of "holy crap, that actually worked!?!". So even though you may not be a park rat (yet), this thing will certainly get you there and very very comfortable on features. The only thing a training board won't directly give you though is confidence. But knowing you have the technique at home should give you enough of it to try it on snow.

    A appreciate their hustle but nearly a G note CAD for all that stuff is just priced to high… brb starting a company to do it at a lower price point.

    I don't really think there's any point in them making a longer board. You can just use your actual snowboard

    I havent been snowboarding for that long and the only thing I can currently do on a rail is a 50-50, do you think I would be able to learn new skills on this or is it more for practicing skills you have already learnt?

    • @CaseyWillax
      @CaseyWillax  9 місяців тому

      Oh for sure! Helps so much to feel what it feels like to "step onto" a rail rather than just going at it while moving
