- Advanced Jhana Observation Exercise by David Johnson
In this advanced guided meditation, David Johnson will take the meditator through each of the first to fourth TWIM aware Jhanas; and while he reads the sutta you will observe the jhana factors for yourself as they arise 'One by One' as explained in Sutta MN 111 The Anupada Sutta "One by One As They Occurred". It gives the meditator a 'guided tour' of the aggregates as they arise.

Excellent.
Thank you David for this instructed guidance.I have been wanting to do this ever since I heard you discuss it with Delson. I have saved this audio and will use it regularly to improve my observation and mind directional ability. As you once said to me “tell your mind what to do”. That has helped me so much 🙏🏼 “live long and prosper in the dhamma”.😊
thanks a lot david. this is really helping me a lot to integrate experiences into my knowledge and intuition. more of that ❤️ much metta!
You're very welcome
thank you so much for this meditation! it's amazing what reading the factors of the first four jhanas aloud as guidance can bring up. This is my new main practice until I can see the factors moving for myself. much gratitude!
You're so welcome!
Very interesting, thank you. Would you consider making one for the arupa jnanas as well?
