In the original book Frankenstein he was a very kind person... Stupid Hollywood just couldn't stand it and had to make him a monster...
He got REALLY ugly in this one. I like Mel Brookes' Frankenstein monster. "Puttin' on the Ritz."

He said the subject was inadequate because she was a "junkie". To the contrary, makes sense she would be the perfect subject. Reviving her after all that extended "cut and stitch" work would likely put her in such agony that he'd have to keep her on opiates anyway, at least for some time, so there was a good chance he's ressurect her just to make her OD anyway. Finding a subject with an already existing tolerance to the drugs would be his best option.
This is more like half Frankenstein, half Jekyll & Hyde.

This effort fares better than most attempts to modernize period horror. The basic premise is a rerun of Hammer's Curse of Frankenstein, though the monster makeup is superior to Hammer's pathetic travesty. Effective "surprise" ending. Not by any means a classic, bit worth a viewing.
