Competition creates better prices & performance for consumers
then there's the 4090 at a price of two souls

In next driver update for sure
let's not forget: this is intel's first REAL shot at a gaming gpu, so for them to improve this much in this time really is impressive
Or it shows they released the cards with the drivers in such a unfinished state that they performed so piss poorly that of course you can achieve results like these.
No, it's not their first. It is actually third time they try. First was a botched job, second was scrapped before release, and Arc is just unloved baby that has serious dhiarhea with driver issues.

@@Imbannedforever.. 4070 is a steal... not for the customers, but for nvidia
I just really hope Intel decides to push in to the medium-high or just medium range of gpu's. And not just more of the budget level.
It does filter up thought. If they next card competes with a 4050/5050 say, it will drive those prices down, which will in turn drive the 5060->5070 etc. The £1000+ cards will probably remain untouched as nvidia has no competition from either side and halo products don't follow the same pricing rules anyway.
@@1Dustin Yepp but I wouldnt mind if they'd release cards like the 5080 or 5070. Instead of the lower end budget cards.
it is medium though, budget would be 150usd
@@najeebshah. Not true, the Arc A770 which is their strongest has around the performance of a 3060. The 3060 is a budget card that had a msrp of $330.
Even the 3050 card was $250. So no idea where you got the 150 as a budget card cost.
Totally. I’m optimistic about their future launches, but it’s great to see the promising “A” GPUs starting them on a good path
Never in my life have I ever imagined that Intel would be the underdog and we would be rooting for it! 💀
Imagine having a 4090 back in 2012, but it had the performance of the 690, because of the driver issues. And over the years it unlock it's full potential because of the drivers.
Thats kinda fun. But some geek in his garage managed a way to unlock its full potential a few hours after release ( yes im talking to you techpowerup forum nerds)

At their launch, I was not so optimistic about Intel GPU's, solely because of the persistent bugs that seemed unending.
At this moment, I think The A770 card is a reminder of what other companies used to be (AMD RX480) and I'm finally rooting for them. Can't wait for their next GPU launch, I think it's worth a try. "More Powa for Price".
B770: Costs more than A770 and performs better than A770.

@@t1e6x12 Aah, stop! :D I would hope they don't go this way, given that they also need to increase market- and mindshare.

At the time where GPU prices from either AMD and Nvidia goes increasingly nonsense, there's Intel in the GPU market that somewhat help us gamer to get a pretty decent price for insanely powerful card. I know, Intel doesn't do this out of kindness (marketshare and mindshare purpose to maximize shareholders profit), but at least for quite sometimes in the future, we can look forward for better deal of GPU card. I don't wanna take any side of either brand, so as a sane consumer, I'll choose whatever serves me best at the momentary market...
AMD cards are extremely competitive with Intel's cards in performance/ price. It isnt necessarily a lineup of insanely powerful cards (sorry to be a contrarian).
Everyone was disappointed when the intel GPU came out but now i think it's value for money if you don't care about playing in 1080p or 1440p resolution. If intel focuses on budget segment they can easily dominate the market. Unlike AMD and nvidia who is just releasing too many models and trying to show who is better than one. I mean i still use 1050ti and it still work like a charm and after 5 years of use I'm gonna change with intel arc.

I'm shocked how much more performance and how smooth a lot of AAA titles I play on my ARC A770m now are. I tried Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, Dying Light 2 and House Party so far. with the new driver and all work perfectly now with excellent performance from what I can see. New driver is still a beta driver and I still don't like the Intel Arc control panel but I don't have much complaints left for driver performance. My real test will be VR which was a nightmare and only worked sometimes but when it did work, the performance was excellent. If it works reliably I can finally sell my old mini pc I was keeping around for VR.
Can't wait for Battlemage next year. If it's going to cost less than €600 while delivering 4070 Ti/4080 performance it is going to sell very well 😊
It will definitely happen since it's next year. They'd be slightly ahead in technology.
@ShyRIBoyy That would be insane if it was true.
@ShyRIBoyy What leak.
Looks like it improves the most in CPU bottlenecked scenarios, if you compare 1080p vs 1440p. So they likely resolved some CPU driver overhead that was lowering the CPU bottleneck ceiling.
XESS seems pretty dope as well. Might have to see what intel is about when Battlemage comes out.

Lets not forget this is the first generation of their cards I can't really wait for the next generation after they solve the drivers issue completely
2000s DBZ amv vibes
but 63% is for a small selection of games and not a general average uplift across the board
63% is from a single game which was broken at launch and was fixed in the most recent driver update. Niktek saw the title of a single arguably clickbaity article and decided to make the video.
@@t1e6x12 100% agreed but wasn't it really much coincidence for being a random clickbait or could be paid marketing? Think about this.

Well, get them while you can. Remember, these card was planned to battle one tier above current pricing. They sell it one tier lower, with a price cut because it wasn't up to par with the expected performance.
Now they have kinda sorted out their driver issues, their next gen wouldn't be that different in term of price with the competitor.

Intel seems to be taking the amd's road with improving the performance with driver updates, which I think is a good thing. Not only these gpu's are not priced ridiculously, but also the longevity is getting improved, so its a W for the buyers.
Drivers improve performance by 63%?? jesus Intel, that's nuts
I mean...it only increased Dead Space Remake by 63% to be playable like it was supposed to be from the get go, so they just fixed what had to be fixed.
IDK why people don't read patch notes and automatically assume somehow ARC GPU's got a 63% boost overall in ALL games lmao
Except it also improved performance in other games - not by such a huge margin but also pretty good. However, you are missing the whole point: Arc is a new technology from someone who is not experienced enough with optimization. But Intel is learning very fast, which is impressive for a new player on the market, and that's what makes ppl happy. It's way easier to release fast patches when games are made with your hardware in mind and when your company has many years of experience, so as a beginner, Intel is still doing really great.
Wait what? Intel has been making iGPU's since 2010, now sure it's not a dedicated GPU but it's a GPU nonetheless idk why you would act like they're some kind of "beginners"...intel has enormous resources it's not some kind of startup, they just didn't care enough. Ofc competition is good but I don't get why the praise they get for doing their actual job.
@@Zeltor you know that a full format gpu is a completly different task than igpu, right? It's not that you can just scale everything up and call it a day. It's like going from a street hot-dog seller to a chain of restaurants. And it's not about designing a new hardware but also software and drivers almost from the ground up.

I own an arc and this is hilarious lol. When I got my a750 it was complete garbage and had terrible performance for the price, and I was sad. But a few days later that driver update dropped and now its about as good as a 2060 super but for way cheaper. To everyone looking for a good budget GPU, give intel a shot. They've fixed literally every bug and issue and the cards are insane for how cheap they are. (unless you have a 4k monitor lol, then get an rtx 3080) Coming from a 1050 ti, it was a great upgrade for me and I get really good fps on max settings on every game, and I never have to worry about stutters, fps drops, etc and I can just play the game and enjoy it.
