The first time i saw this scene i wasn't sad, i was shocked balls to the walls. James Bond before that never died, we assumed that he was immortal. This is truly the end of an era.
@DRIVER boomer. They’ll have a new actor to play him for the future installments
Currently the production team is working on that and they're going to release the next film when they have selected the next actor to replace Craig.
Na bro he’s time lord…. He’s just gonna regenerate😂
I’m all seriousness I thought tis was a very emotional scene when I seen it first
We never assumed he was immortal, if you thought that then you don't really understand James bond at all. James bond is just a code name not a person.
@@garyhowe88 That's just an interpretation bro. Chill !
This was actually the best way to close out D.C. as Bond, since it sets his entire run apart from all the other Bonds, in its own separate continuity - one long story with a beginning, middle, and end.
Agree with that. Craig's run of films were inconsistent (the 2nd film was definately the lowest point, 4th film underwhelmed aswell). But it's much harder to produce a story spanning over 5 films than to just make standalone stories all with more-or-less the same derivative corny formula. And the fact that they atleast tried to give the main and supporting characters (even some of the villains) some kind of depth to the point that it was possible to actually care about them (which for the most part worked very well), was enough to make Craig's tenure the best.
They wanted to be Red Dead Redemption 2 so hard
@@eddielong8663The James Bond series was always so much better being stand-alone films with a few aspects that cross over into other films. The old classic Bond films flatten Craig’s Bond saga without question (apart from Casino Royale, that was great)
And they pretty much set him up from the start as being different from the other Bonds in that he was much more… mortal. He took on the 00 title back in Casino Royale with the knowledge that the job would eventually kill him.
@@user-mistereyethe old classic bond films, save for a few, do not stand the test of time. In this era, most of them are the corniest movies ever. Craig's movies gave the series a fresh feel and casino Royale was a perfect start to the series. Skyfall was great and so was this one.
The way in which the missiles descend upon him angelically from the heavens, and how he looks up to the sky with the look of a man who has finally found peace with himself and the legacy he leaves behind. This was one of the greatest endings in cinematic history.
Completely agree, well said!
No. I think he just saw the way all the woke bullshit was infecting every major 🎬 movie franchise and he wanted the missiles to fall 🤔 and put him out of his misery. Also Daniel Craig who is a fine actor will be available for other projects now and able to spend more time in the Wheatsheaf in Louth.

God... Hans Zimmer always found a way to hit a brother in the feels with the incredible music. Still in shocked to this day with this ending.
For me, it was Zimmer's use of John Barry's "We Have All the Time in the World" theme from On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

This part was acted remarkably well. Q’s attempts to stay guess breathing was super convincing
I was honestly holding up pretty well during this scene. Until they cut to Q. That broke me.
I think the saddest part in all of this is that it isn't that Bond couldn't escape, he just didn't wanted to because he didn't want a life without his family. He has escaped worse situatins than this one, but here he was just too sad. Sadge
I agree. Not being able to ever touch the love of your life or your newly discovered daughter ever again is just too harsh and would have been no way for Bond to live. This was an excellent movie
I agree, even though let’s say that he survived and has been “cured” from the poison. He still wouldn’t even risk touching Mathilda And Madeleine whilst knowing that it can cause instant death.

how did you enjoy the movie, it didn't felt like a Bond movie at all, James character keeps being belittle by everybody else, movie keeps dragging for the longest and you don't learn anything new for the character, the 2 bond girls didn't add anything to the story, Ana de Armas was just there to remind us this is a Bond movie but seems like I was watching Alice Milla Jovovich from the Resident Evil movies with those crazy stunts, then Laschanna who was advertised as the main lead next to Craign didn't had any memorable scene and suddnelly kils a scientific because he mentions he would kill all black people? like what a joke and left down of an era.

Such a beautiful ending. He got the job done, saved his family and the world, and it tragically costs him his life at the end. You could say its somewhat redemptive for all his sins, from a religious perspective. It is also a great example of true masculinity, the father pouring out his life for his family.

The complaints back then were moreso directed towards the blonde hair. Every Bond since Moore has had blue eyes.
yet i dont think craig's bond has blond hair. and his hair is mostly short anyway.
The first time in history when Bond looks broken.... yet strong.

For the younger audience:
This was a beautiful nod to another sad ending: On her Majesty's secret service
There Bond survived but his wife(Tracy) would be killed by Blofeld. Here the wife(Madeline) and her child survived but Bond would die due to what Safin permanently put in him.
Although Safin died, he succeeded indirectly in doing what all the other villains, even Blofeld, could not do: Kill James Bond.
Even the credits song is from that movie

I will admit this is the first James Bond movie I’ve actually cried to. This is the greatest way to finish a James Bond movie. ❤❤❤
Only other Bond movie I cried to was On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and this is similar for plenty of obvious reasons. I’ve been a Bond fan since I was little. This made me ugly cry when I saw it in theaters. 😢
I still cry whenever I see this or hear the score
I felt like crying during the opening song of die another day
Well it's certainly A way..
Some people still complain about Bond dying, but I think it was a great ending to his character. Craig's Bond was the first one who actually had a tangible background, an arc, real depth and an actual relationship that lasted longer than one movie. It was such a tragic, heartfelt conclusion. Whatever comes next for the series, it better be good.
The Daniel Craig James Bond 007 films are a reboot so James Bond will return like Sean Connery did in You Only Live Twice
You expect Hollywood to produce anything but trash now?
This was the most tragic Bond of them all. From his first movie to this he gets left, lied to, abused, tortured both physically and psychologically. Bit after bit his life breaks apart, he loses one important person after the next and finally ,finally when he could become happy, he can't. Not my favourite Bond but it was the only way to close out THIS Bond. Tragic, sad but very emotional.

I'm only too aware of this: I "broke down" while I was on duty as a memory of my brother (he passed away nearly 4 years ago) was set off - unwittingly - one of my best friends.
That he still had his daughter’s bunny with him when he died was the emotional nail in the coffin for me.

When I first saw this, I was so stunned, just frozen in my seat. Then when M, Q, Moneypenny, Tanner, and Nomi toasted James, the tears came. But when Madeleine said to her and Bond's daughter, "I'm going to tell you a story about a man, his name was Bond, James Bond", and "We Have All The Time In The World" played, I just broke down. Having been a massive Bond fan since watching "Live And Let Die" as a kid, and initally being very sceptical when Daniel first got the role, but then him winning me over immediately in "Casino Royale", this ending was crushing yet so beautiful. I also loved how it harked back to the wonderful "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"... Daniel, you did the role proud, and couldn't have signed off in better style. ❤💔
4:46 shot with the teddy bear kills me everytime. It may be cheesy af for a spy movie with realistic direction, but showing that an agent is human being really stands out as a closure.

I actually did expect him to die. It seems like a trend to kill movie heroes. By the time this was made they already killed: Iron man, Black Widow, David Dunn (Unbreakable), all of the X-Men, etc. If you think about it Bond went out just like the X-Men - he got his happy ending in the last movie when he retired and died in the next one, just like the X-Men got their happy ending at the end of Days of Future Past and then they all died in Logan.

I think of all the reactions, Moneypenny's gets me the most. Through 4 films they've known one another, acted together as comrades and even had some more "intimate" encounters, but they never settled together. Rewatching this scene still breaks my heart. Daniel Craig killed it as bond. The only film in the franchise that even comes close to what this was interms of sadness and devestatikn would be OHMSS with George Lazenby. Ive watched and loved bond ever since his first introduction in Dr. No. But NTTD was the first bond film to actually make it tear up. I hate it because they killed him. If they wanted the series to end, they could've just let him retire, they didn't have to blow him into a million pieces
The question is 'Who is James Bond and why is he important ?"
Ian Flemings character James Bond is a spy and not a super hero. He is the righteous guy with duty to Queen and Country. He is dashing and bold, taking risks to catch foreign spies and criminals. He survives many close encounters and kills the bad guys.
Films like Dr. No, From Russia with love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, O.H.M.S.S., Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, The Man with The Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View To A Kill, The Living Daylights, License To Kill, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and the World is Not Enough were all great movies. The JB franchise starts losing their real focus on the charismatic figure JB and start rolling him up as a action figure far removed from the spy he is supposed to be. They should have read some of Ian Flemings books and kept JB as true to his book character as possible. Even fictional characters have personality and that personality sells and movie goers want to see their favorite character live on.
Death of JB 007 will drive away fans.
They should have let Daniel Craig retire as Bond and got another actor like Sean Connery to be JB 007.
In a few years time the box office sales will drop much more than they have and with JB as another Joe Blow no one will care about him. Bond is dead and that is it for the fans. Reviving the corps is going to take a lot of wishful thinking. Albert R. Bocelli and Harry Saltzman must be rolling over in their graves. What have these fools done... ruined a good thing.

He is incredible, he really brings to the table and he can play the spy, detective or any mystery role and nail it. There is this smoldering look her gives that makes you KNOW he has something up his sleeve. He conveys his emotions so neatly and really captures this quirky sardonic humor to his characters so well. I dont any actor can play Bond like him. It really is the end. I feel it so deep. I remember when I first watched Casino Royale my heart was really in my throat when he passed out before Vesper found him....but this scene. Ah even though I knew he dies I wish he had got his happily ever After. 😢 well done Daniel Craig. Your James Bond was the best one and only one I really enjoyed. 😢
My heart was breaking as James realized he couldn’t be in a world away from his loves, but at the same time knowing he could harm them if he did.
Even if he lived and hoped for a cure, every moment apart would be an agony worse than death.
James’ character arc went from a womanizing playboy who slowly opened himself up and got burned--all the way to having his heart fulfilled with his loves and the respect/admiration of his colleagues.
Just because they can't get close to each other doesn't mean they are cut off completely, especially now days when we have video calls. What do you think his family would have wanted: a husband/father they couldn't see in person or a dead husband/father? Love is a lot more than just hugs and kisses.
@@AndreiPopescubut that would be worse. Being so close, but still so far. Never being able to be actually close to those you love. It's agony. I wouldn't wish it on anyone
@@helenahulford8206 At first maybe, but you'd be surprised how well people can adapt to all kinds of situations. If you were in the situation in which you would not be able to get close to a loved one, would you really want that person to die?
@@AndreiPopescu I am in the situation. And I do want to die. The pain is too much
@@helenahulford8206 How are you in that situation exactly?
The death of a truly man. Dying to protect his wife and daughter.
You have to admit, the music in this scene is beautiful
Just saw today. Good movie. Sad ending RIP Bond
I have to admit, I teared up this man finally had happiness in his life and he didn’t get a chance to enjoy it so sad RIP Mr. Bond
Damn that's music Hans fucking Zimmer is a beast 😢😢😢
I watch this clip everyday to remind eme how powerful you are , has to end one day.... Life is simple...
I NEVER THOUGHT WE WILL SEE THE END OF JAMES BOND 💔 😢😢😢😢
When James said “You have made the most beautiful thing I have ever seen” paired with Hans Zimmer’s score is when I started balling my eyes out when I first saw this movie, what a way to end your run as Bond
Best ending to an actor as a lead character ever
No time to die - FUCKEN FEMENISM FILM))) Anti men NOT BOND. Casino R best craig film.
He's now reunited with Vesper.
