So, in the original Crazy Life version, Tim has the full lead. But for the Crazy(er) Life re-imagining, Chance is here now, and they have TWO awesome bass-y types, so they split the lead. I like both, just depending on if I want All Tim or Tim/Chance.
I like the comedy in the old HF performances of "Your Man", but Chance sounds so good in the new version. It was my favorite song in the last non-Christmas concert I went to.
Home Free originally did this during their 2014 Crazy Life tour (which is on y/t). They just released their new version of "Crazy Life" - the last one in which Austin will appear. If you haven't seen the older version of "Crazy Life", it's also called the Lego Video. Yup, it's done with Legos and has some rather dark surprises. I'm no copyright expert but this will complete the rerelease and update of all the music they did under contract to SME.
They have performed this forever and Tim has the perfect voice for it but I like the addition of Chance. Something different. I'm glad to have a video for this one and I'm glad they kept the funny bit in. Thanks for the Home Free reactions. ( I like it better than when Josh did it. LoL)
As others have pointed out, Tim has the lead throughout the full song in an older recording that Home Free did before Chance joined the group. There’s one or two more videos featuring Austin. They just recently released a new recording of “Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget”. It’s a Tim Foust original that you NEED to check out! Great reaction as always! Keep being awesome guys!
There will be to more videos with Austin to finish their Crazy(er) Life album. I like that Chance sings a verse. It's closer to how they perform it live.
Chance and Tim did a great job with the song . Chance didn't sing high at all he did it almost just as Josh did. Josh sang this majority in baritone. Think you need to listen to Josh Turners version again, because the only sang bass wh3n singing Baby Turn The lights down low. And Chance did the same
I prefer soft serve ice cream myself. 😅 Tim sang the lead on this starting before they were on The Sing Off. This is a nice change up. Tim still handles the super bass in "Elvira" and "Ring of Fire".
So, this song was always a bit of a skit for the boys, Tim would hit that high note and Austin and Rob would object to him getting into their area of singing, so he would go back to the basement. It's funny he left that basement note to the outro. Butcher, it's perfectly understandable that you don't like country, Tim really leaned into the Texas twang on this one, thank you for being a good sport about those of us that do.
I love that you caught the cricket when Tim teed off into the tenor! I have had to point that out to so many people. The Rob & Austin side-eye was epic, too. #HomeFree
Love this! When they do this live Tim has a lot of fun with the audience. He was just showing off a little of his 5 octave range for ya! I think he’s broken speakers on stage with this one before. Good one boys!🤣😍
I like this version better than the first version of Home Free, although I loved that one too! But Chance brings so much more value to this for me. The combination of Tim and Chance is simply amazing! Oh and of course the background vocals and beatboxing are what really complete it
If you really want to flip out on the vocals, listen to Chris Stapleton sing this song - he's the one who wrote it. He sings it live. As you can imagine, he kills it!
I like that Chance had a couple of verses. He has that rich baritone voice that suited the song well. Of course, I have been a fan of bass in music for a very long time. The first time we saw them live in the front row, I was elated to feel that bass all through my body and soul! Lol I still prefer to turn bass up more in my settings and turn down the treble a little.
Yall are hilarious and Butcher looked like he was being tortured during the song. Home Free is an amazing group, but (in my opinion) Josh's original is perfect and I can't imagine anyone ever topping it.
They've released two other videos since Your Man (Champange Taste and Crazy Life) and both had Austin still in it, though I believe they are the last. In the past the lead was all done by Tim (there are a lot of fan-made-videos on YT), Chance is a recent addition. It's a nice change up, in my opinion. But Tim still got all the juicy notes. Because you mentioned Long Black Train: Tim did a cover of this together with Chris Rupp (on Chris's channel). It's fantastic. Thanks for the reaction.
Love this song. Tim and Chance were perfect for the lead. Love the backup harmonies and percussion.❤️❤️❤️
Chris Rupp and Tim did Long Black Train together. And for a full Tim lead of this song check out older versions

The sound Rupp is making is a guiro, a latin hand held percussion instrument.

This is not the last song with Austin that has just been released yesterday which is Crazy Life

With this song there are several live videos where Tim broke the spickers. They are also very funny
Rupp is making casta-nots sounds (castanet). Chance sounds amazing in this one! Not that Tim doesn’t sound just as good.
Chris rupp and tim foust cover long black train
😂😂 poor AJ 😂😂
I prefer soft serve ice cream myself. 😅

Thank you, guys for doing this one.
Now I need a soft-serve ice cream dipped in chocolate and Dairy Queen is closed for the night! All your fault.
LOL
I think the last one with is Austin is Crazy Life just released
Josh Turner is 6'1" tall.
AJ is 6'9". He often gets other people's heights wrong. Everyone feels short to him.
I love that you caught the cricket when Tim teed off into the tenor! I have had to point that out to so many people. The Rob & Austin side-eye was epic, too. #HomeFree
Tim and Chance did a beautiful job on this song. The harmonies are beautiful.
Absolutely agree!
❤🤠#HomeFree. 🔥 Tim and Chance wow.🥰😍. Great reaction. 🏠🍟
Thanks for reacting.
Our pleasure!!

You all are so funny
Thank you!
I liked it but liked more that you kept pushing Butcher’s buttons 🤣🤣
It's so fun!
They just released a new(er) version of "crazy life" & Austin's in it. 😉🥰🥰

Oooooo! Good to know! Thank you!
The song was well done. You guys as usual were entertaining. AJ pick up advertising MERCH!
You should check out Long Black Train with Chris Rupp and Tim Foust. It is a great cover.
If you want to hear the "absolute" original, listen to the version written by the one who wrote this song, Chris Stapleton.
That sound that you referred to a cricket is a click roll
AJ, listen to their original version. Tim does the whole thing.
