UA-cam never ceases to amaze me. I did a search on how to play Faithless, insomnia and got how to create the sound also and I just happened to have a Roland fantom 6 in from of me.
Interesting. I have a JD-800
That's what i've been looking for.......using a Fantom 07 i recreated this in a few minutes because of this finest tutorial! Tank you soooooo much.
the first ever roland synth that have that "techno" pizzicato sound is the rolanbd d-70, wich you can hear in Enigma's album MCMXC a.D.
During thé year 96, i've made many test with my sound Tracker to reach that sound :)
The best result was on that sontua-cam.com/video/-0WTHRTy7bo/v-deo.html
Enya and her D-50 enters the chat

There's an octave saw wave behind that riff
The roland xp80 slso have this faithless sound pretry close ....or the same one
Yeah. I think Roland keeps recycling the same pcm waves over and over.
What about the second part of the song? The player seems to change the patch when plays high notes with the rest of the band.
