I had the privilege of sitting with this lady for lunch at an Ibiza event a few years ago. She is as nice as she comes across on this video. Such a down to earth lovely woman.
not gonna lie! that insomnia riff STILL gets the spine jidders its a MONSTER!!
same
I hate saying it..But music just isn't made like that anymore..Too god damn over produced and to "pure" sounding.
@@lucid484 There are plenty not producing a "pure" sound showing their prowess with sound design... Like Dylan Brady one half of 100 gecs, Or especially Sophie. In fact I would say Sophie's design and approach has forever changed music like these tracks did. R.I.P SOPHIE!
@@NubbinzGaming Thanks! I'll check em out.
@@lucid484 I hear that, too much emphasis on over the top sound design without really considering the basic underlying riff melody.
Sister Bliss still has that magic twinkle in her eyes, shes gorgeous!
Amen still a stunner at 50
Anyone else watching following the sad loss of Maxi? The riffs sound so poignant now, and still so magnificent ❤ 01:51 for the riff that opened a thousand doors for Faithless, and millions of minds around the world..
1.51!!! It just blows you away
I feel like I can listen to her speaking about music all day. What a talanted musician 😊
She really does have nice speaking voice.
Twenty years ago I really fancied her; today, I would say she is a very lovely woman.
🧡
Totally agree, a beautifully talented lady who created a moment in time that left a massive footprint
I saw Faithless live about 18 years ago in Newport, what an amazing night.
Sister Bliss: such a fabulous and interesting person. Brilliant!
She's very pretty too
Faithless are one of those bands who's energy is evident in their live performance, fantastic group of musicians. Brings back some classic memories.
"Maybe that's my limitation as a keyboard player". Neh. That is because you have a superb talent for creating killer tracks. 👍
Clear, humble and demystifying. I like this person.
The fact that ur riff from “Insomnia” is instantaneously recognizable around the globe and through the ages & at the same time creates goosebumps on the soul well.....that’s music #godisadjhernameissisterbliss
Do you think Insomnia was inspired by this song? ua-cam.com/video/dnvf0mwiioY/v-deo.html
@@matstevens3756 would b a great question to ask Sister Bliss....thanks for sending the link as i had never heard this song even though it was released when i was in High School
And then they ruined Insomnia by ripping it off Encore une fois by Sash prime example
Insomnia riff - voice of 90s.
Fantastic video, Faithless had such a massive influence on my youth.Truly one of a kind.
I absolutely love and admire this lady for her talent.
Sister Bliss.what a sweetheart and legend in the synth dance community..Great interview.
Very down to earth.
Keeping it Real.
🧡
The Faithless songs are timeless. Still get chills hearing those songs. Epic
her DJ sets were also always a pleasure back in the day, that deep progressive house sound of the early 00's has never been eclipsed for me!
I love the "This is How we did it " stories from Artists.they always sound so simple and matter of fact.
It doesn't detract from what they did it just makes it easier to understand
Sister Bliss a musical genius and an idol of mine love her love her work her input is outstanding
Wow, such a lovely person, and so interesting to see behind the scenes
"such a lovely person" which tells lies to your face saying "sometimes Juno 106 it would go out of tune.. ." A quartz stabilized Digitally Controlled Oscillator (DCO) of Juno 106 cannot "go out of tune" unless deliberately circuit bent.
Nobody's perfect... 🤩
„Hypnothic vibe“. That nails it.
She is gorgeous.
A very talented lady, and a nice behind the scenes tutorial.
i never knew that a female producer was behind Faithles, but now it makes a lot of sense. Back in the day, for me, Faithles felt very inteligent, fragile and feminant... Thank you.
I've been on her performance in Lithuania. Great Dj as well
Intelligent because a woman produced the tracks. Ahaaaa😂🤦🏼♂️
Their music was never mine, not dumb enough, you know🤣
Besides, how do you know how she feels🤷🏼♂️
He, the singer, gave me the impression of being the girl🌈🥂
@@braien25980 ...what?
@@braien25980 what the actual fυсk are you talking about?
@@braien25980 are you okay mate? 😂
Blissy really nails how to share technical expertise and her passion for music. Great choice by Roland
She's got a symphony playing in her head most hours of the day. Great to see Sister Bliss and her talent on display.
🧡
♥
As soon as they broke onto the scene they were clearly something special. They created real musical art. So sad at Maxi's passing.
she played the riff and it was magical.
🧡
That insomnia riff she plays on the keyboard is iconic
Incredible and so good to hear the stories behind the tracks
Brilliant! Roland make great innovatory instruments, we used lot's on our music including TB303, TR606/808, SH101, Juno 60, Jupiter 8 and more. We still have the TB303 and Juno 60, both are still in working order!
All blessed is a great album, and the range of vocalists after Maxxi left is brilliant.
Love Suli Breaks poetry and his nice voice too.
Sister Bliss...Cool :)
Roland Central. My kind of studio. Faithless have been such a big inspiration to me. Thanks for the incredible music and memories!
What a treat! Sister Bliss is amazing!
Brilliant video! Thanks for the music - what you guys did with Faithless really changed the game.🔥
Came here cause I just recreated the patch and the riff of Insomnia on my Sequential take 5 as an exercise. Wanted to know how it was made originally. The process made me go back and revisit Reverance. What an amazing album! Faithless has a special place in EDM!
What a great video and what a lovely person. Thank you Roland and Sister Bliss, you made my evening. I'm going off to listen to those Faithless records now... Then I'm going to search out a JV-1080! Much love
What a classy, knowlegable, musically genius and all around lovely lady!
That track was so massive , it could push you in an different athmosphere
Hey Sister Bliss, thank you for that inhale in Rave culture & our happy childhood :)
Well sis.. You are a true DJ.
And as for Faithless, u's are an essential chapter in the story of dance music..
Thanks for the memories!
RIP Maxi.. ❤️
May the beat Live on.. 🎶
I love her and her music! She is awesome!
She definitely is awesome 🧡
Timeless Dance Anthem is only one! And Sister Bliss is blessed for creating it.
One of my keyboard hero’s ( heroines?) of all time awesome to hear & see her speak about that epic track! 😎 👏
recently finished my first ep using only roland gear. favorite company in the world. ever.
I love Faithless. One of the best Electronic music band.
OMG, I think I am in love with Sister Bliss, listening to this all the way from downunder. What a great detailed insight, thank you
No problem! Thanks for the feedback!
Great video. Love the new Faithless album btw and it sounds amazing especially on vinyl. I've just got my first Roland Synth and love it, Fantom 8. Between that and my 800-Pro midi keyboard I'm very happy.
A fabulous and insightful presentation. Really enjoyable. Great to hear about the old gear. I owned a Roland D70 in the 90’s which unfortunately I gigged to death. Mainly used it for piano but replaced it with a Kurzweil K2500. Lord knows how I afforded that one ! Still have the Kurz, just about operates.
Absolutely brilliant x
От insomnia у меня мурашки по коже до сих пор...
So knowledgeable and talented , imagine time with her to create tunes
🧡
OK, I'm going to be the one to state it: My word she still looks good.
She was brilliant, some great riffs those times were great.
She IS...
Such a great person and musician
Wonderful girl, given a lot to dance music and very modest about her talent.
I saw them in Belgrade Serbia back in 2008-2009.. was the absolute loudest concert I've ever been too. Not my favorite band , but incredible live.
Amazing!!!!
Top lady down to earth great keyboard tunes part of an amazing band
so perfect , glad to find this clip. thx
No problem!
That was really great and interesting with Sister Bliss...!
She's is very very talented and lovely to speak to as I've had the pleasure of spending a day with her
Time for an awesome tour!!! :)
La Reina de las teclas !!
Great great I loved your sound!!
She is great 👌 very nice insight into her work awesome work guys ❤
Faithless fantastic sounds my best group
JV-1080/2080/1010 with a favourite expansion or two is still an excellent source of sound today in 2021. Great-sounding outputs: lush, thick, warm and if you make full productions you'll often find the sounds sitting nicely in a mix without too much messing about. Very affordable these days on the used markets.
All Blessed is a fantastic album. Best release last year
Thank you because I still lison God dj each night with deaf in back ground and I still listen all others ones as will maxi will never be forgotten ❤️🙏🎧
Woman with amazing talent! Keep her lit! ☘👍
Insomnia one of my favourite songs by faithless influenced the way I create music 🎹👍

All blessed is possibly the best album released in 2020 and my all time fave faithless album
Meh it's not really grown on me. It sounds great and all ... but wow it misses Maxi's vocals
That riff lit up the club werld
Please more content from Sister Bliss on youtube.. Please-please :)
Sister Bliss = LEGEND
🧡
0:29 bingo
honestly..i come from a grammy winning family..ive learned a lot in studio
they rent some boards & try em out..but the final cut was always Roland
Roland synths & Yamaha monitors are the sound of our lives & that's it
LEGEND! I have a TR8s and MC707 it's the best of Roland sounds in these two boxes.
Haven't a clue what you're talking about, but it is so damn good.
She’s awesome
In the original version (and album version, monter mix, etc) of Insomnia, the main theme was played in different order. The first quarter now was the second quarter then and the second quarter now was the first quarter then.
Always saw the JP8000 in her live rig in videos. Wanted her to say how she used that one. I still have one. Still a go to synth.
Any idea what synth made the big bass pluck sound on I need someone?
Legend!!!
Yes she is :)
greatest riff of the 90s
I love sister bliss
What a lovely down to earth lady.
Enjoyed that Roland.
Does though make me realise we see old analogue synthesisers through tinted glasses. Bet they are a nightmare to maintain.
