is it just me or the large o rings smaller than where we are sopposed to put it? im having a difficult time putting it in as i try to put it in the groove and the other side pops out.
The o-rings are a bit smaller than the groove diameter. I found that adding some silicone fluid or light coat of grease can help keep the o-ring in the groove. Hope you got it to work. This transmission has been bullet proof for me so far.
This combo is holding up great to 2S power. Nothing has bent. I haven't had any issues with the transmission, spur gear, pinion, or bearings while using Pro-line Badland Tires (amzn.to/3R6nQrP). They hook up well on the street and on dirt. Enough to lift the front tires a bit from a standstill. I did however break an axle. Luckily I had a new spare so it's been holding up well so far. I drive this car maybe 2x per week, so I feel like it's been a good investment having this transmission combo.
I didn’t get the hr sealed diff, but I did get a different brand that looked exactly the same, but when I put diff fluid in it (50k weight) it just flings out almost immediately so the lsd feel is no more, do you have a similar issue?
That's weird you're stripping spur gears. My Slash is brushless and it's over 10 years old. I run it hard and have never stripped a spur gear. Maybe your gear mesh is not set properly.
The previous owner of the car mentioned he had a problem with stripping spur gears. I thought the same thing about not having the gear mesh set properly. However, even when the gear mesh was set correctly, the spur gear still stripped. My specific issue was the transmission developed play and was causing the top shaft to move excessively (even without load) so the spur gear would move and strip. I looked at gear mesh, bearings, and housing, and came to the conclusion that the transmission housing itself had worn out where the bearings for the top shaft sit. Could have been caused by a hard impact or the bearings seizing up.

It's not only you. I also have same problem with you. I will try to put in there again.
how is everything holding up???? and has the motor mount bent?
