I fully believe that when kendrick said he had 5 plus 5, he really did and was ready for anything Drake could throw at him, and Kendrick is versitile and creative in ways that Drake could never be. Kendrick wrote a narrative illustrated, a story, and painted an entire picture based solely on exactly what Drake asked for. Drake was his own fucking undoing. In a way, Kendrick was just a much better, a better rapper, more talented, well prepared, mirroring back everything Drake said and did himself.

1: Drake started the "Tea-off" when bringing up the extortion claims and laying seeds for Whitney bars in Family Matters.
Kendrick spent 3 songs barring up Drake and saying don't get personal or lie on me, and we'll keep it surface level. Kendrick didn't get personal until AFTER Family Matters when he dropped Meet The Grahams; where he spilled tea and picked apart his character piece by piece.
2: If we add up his songs, only 2/5 songs he made or been apart of during this beef have had tea.
3: Kendrick won because he planned how to fight based on WHO he was fighting; instead of Drake, who clearly didn't take this seriously enough until "The Heart part 6"

Ish not knowing the difference between a calculated lie and an uneducated assumption is wild. Joe said they don’t have a problem with the lies, but it has to be believable to have impact. If you lie about something that easily proven false, you discredit yourself. Drake not understanding Mother I Sober and making an entire argument based the misunderstanding is embarrassing (on top of cringe because how do you mock someone for being a victim on a track where you’re trying to prove you’re not a perpetrator). It’s embarrassing because it makes him look one of 3 ways to those who did understand the song: 1. He didn’t bother to do the research before he wrote those bars, 2. Lying is absolutely on the table. This is also why the “it was a false leak” defense doesn’t hold up. Why would drake feed a lie that is believable because it happened before? This is rap beef, it’s not journalism.
Another thing about it is your delivery. One aspect about the beef that I think is a little under discussed is just how much better a performer Kendrick is. Funny how despite Drake being the former actor, it was KDot that was the better one.
Drake's "red button" about Whitney in Family Matters is a last minute zinger, almost in a smug "Tee Hee, Gotcha 😌" kind of way, thinking that it was his final Ta-da and he could take a bow for all his adoring fans. He's putting on a show.
But in Meet the Grahams, Kendrick is *DEAD FUCKING SERIOUS* about everything he's saying, and regardless if he's bullshiting or not, you still feel like HE believes every single venomous word he's spewing at Drake.
