Just for context, Joe said the song came out 20 minutes ago. Ish was already saying that the song was mid. I feel like this is how most people listen to Kendrick...on a surface level.
I know the song is new and everyone was excited to speak on it but damn, it takes time to break shit down. This song is layered af. Not even saying what he's saying is profound or super deep but there are a lot of references that most of us didn't get on that first listen. Its a tough track. Calling it mid says a lot about the people saying that in my opinion.

So the line Kendrick says “You don’t have one, Let your core audience stomach that, then tell ’em where you get your abs from” meaning even your “classic” album is fake and rides the success of other artists.
Take Care isn't considered a classic album and I've never heard that take once. When the album dropped, it was amazing at the time, but if you go back and listen to it, it's still good, but has a lot of faults. The fact is, Drake does not have a classic album in his arsenal.
