I'll never forget those days coming from middle school and walking through Vons parking lot and seeing Sam out there hustling. Sam would always try to sell me a CD, and I would be like, "NAH BRO I'M GOOD." Sam would say, "AIGHT, WATCH YOU GONE NEED A CD ONE DAY." I was at the pad Chilling one day, and some song came on I fell in love with, and wanted the CD. I remember calling SAM'S number off of the CD list he gave me, telling him like "YO BRO, YOU WERE RIGHT IT'S ME." He knew exactly who I was. Mind you, it's pouring rain outside. I told SAM I'm on my way to get the CD. When I pulled up to the Vons parking lot on my bike, I remember seeing SAM & ERMIAS. I told SAM, "DAMN BRO YOU WERE WILLING TO COME UP HERE IN THE RAIN." He said, "THERE'S MONEY TO BE MADE EVERYWHERE AND I HAVE TO REMAIN LOYAL TO THOSE AROUND ME" He introduced me to ERMIAS and told me he was up next. I miss those days. MuCh Love and respeCt to my brother SAM & ERMIAS.
I seen black Sam at Magic Mountain not too long after Nip Passed. He was in the Valet waiting for his car. He was with Nips Daughter. I showed my condolences and let him know the influence Nip had on my life especially entrepreneurship. The struggle aspect of building a business he always installed into his music. Sam thoughtIn was going to ask for a pic I felt, but then when he noticed I just wanted to show love he stood up and we dapped each other up and hugged and I said keep your head up. He thanked me. I could feel the sadness in his vibe. Much Respect to you Sam. Love
That’s a awesome story brother. Sam is a customer where I work and he stops by every Saturday. Such a real down to earth respectful guy. You can tell he was raised the right way. Always greets me with a how are you, how you been? Leaves with a “enjoy your weekend big dog”…. And you’re right, you can feel the sadness in his vibe. I pray he heals.
Yo- I ordered a hoodie- like $120, and they sent the wrong size and color. It was a gift for the homie. I wrote an email talkin ish. Bro. The next day this super crip lookin cat showed up at the crib and gave me the right one. Let me keep the other. I thought my big mouth was about to get my ass whipped. Nope. Dude was cool as hell, very politely apologized, handed me the bag and cut. Salute. The marathon continues.
All love to nip. Before he got big, I had a homie who was kind of a somebody from a rival hood. I ain’t gpnna say where, but bro had mad respect for nip. Seen him operate in county. Dude came through a straight essay party- by himself. Rocked it. Cash exchange. He owned the crowd. Hard heads who were talking about robbing him were upping him at the end. Nip was a legend. Always will be. Talk bad on his name. See how that goes. Legend.
Every time I see Blacc Sam in a interview , I just get sad all over again that his brother not physically here with him no more but ever since his brothers demise , he took over doing all of Nipsey Legendary Work , the definition of a Brothers Keeper , LONG LIVE NIPSEY 💙🏁🕊️🙏🏾
"Regardless what you into, regardless what you been through, I feel like I got to tell you... you got something to contribute." - Nipsey Hussle The Great.
See idk how to feel about that statement. Nothing bigger then the politics and cuz knew that. Every where he went, he threw up the hood. He loved the hood and wanted the hood to grow to something bigger and better. Now it’s snakes everywhere, even in ya own household and that comes with success. Only homie till this day that can go through enemy hoods and get a pass.
@@jayh9612 In my opinion, and let me make this clear... These are just my thoughts. Just like Malcolm, Nipsey was young and impressionable when he joined the gang. As he got older and evolved, as you do going from a boy to a man... he realized it was a lot buster stuff being done on the back end that he wasn't feeling. He stood his ground on what he believed in. He no longer needed a gang, he was a whole movement. Just like Malcolm.
I went to the Marathon store 2 weeks after Hussle passed away to pay my respects and as I was getting a video of the mural in the alley, his father just happened to walk by, I shook his hand, said my condolences and told him that his son was loved by every race. He thanked me and walked inside the store. I’ll never forget that interaction. RIP Nipsey.
This interview stands out as the most significant one to watch. Big Boy brought the right energy, creating the perfect atmosphere for Blacc Sam to speak. Though the room was undoubtedly charged with emotion and heavy with the weight of loss, it was also filled with profound love for Nipsey Hussle. A heartfelt salute to Blacc Sam for finding the strength to share his family's story and for carrying on the legacy with such dedication.
My brother got killed when I was 17, he was 23. When your brother is murdered It's a different type of hurt. We deal with it day by day. It ain't easy. Respect Sam, keep going.
Y'all have a blessed night. Love Y'all forever. Blessings forever, beautiful GOD loves you forever, and Jesus loves you too forever. Teach everyone you know and don't know ❤
The day that Nip passed, the WORLD'S heart broke. There will never be another like him. This point of view from his big brother makes me respect, admire, and honor him and his family even more. RIP Nip.
I remember back in 2010-2011 I met nip at slauson tees, first thing I noticed was he was TALL lol, locced up on me real quick talking about what up cuh, what u need? And I replied with 3 white tees and 3 royal blue tees. To which he replied alright cuz 33$. Then I recognized him from the line it up video, and said, wait are u Nipsey Hussle, he smiled and said, yea cuh I shook his hand and gave him a dab hug, and told him I fucked wit his music tough, to which he GAVE me a royal blue Crenshaw shirt FREE. I still have that shirt....kinda faded but retired and framed. Met him 3 more times after that. I really fkd with nips music and lifestyle since I'm from that SC section. RIP NIPSEY HUSSLE.
hearing him say that he cant say the marathon continues cause nip isnt here hits different..... it reminds us that its a really different and a much deeper loss for him and the family , we lost a figure that we respected look up to and who inspired us but this is this man's little brother and that grief must be indescribable
Its very rare and refreshing to see a big brother light up and speak highly of his little brother, you can see the love in his eyes for Nip in every pic since kids
To get Blacc Sam to sit down for an interview man, and for Sam to have the strength to not only do something he don’t do, but see him when they went through Nip passing man. Thank you to both of them and the whole film team. This was beautiful
Big Boy you are a legend and thank you. As a black man from West Dallas Texas I been avoiding this interview and as I'm currently watching it, I realize I haven't been the same since Nip passed because I was losing people left and right and Nip was my daily inspiration and I lost all my passion because I felt something wasn't right. This interview brought me back to where I needed
Love how everytime Sam saw a “sign” to pursue something or buy something he knew it wasn’t by accident and he repeatedly said “ oh that’s god “ ❤❤ Jesus is King 👑 never give up on God , he won’t give up on you ! RIP NIP
I attended Nips funeral and the hardest part about that day was watching Blacc Sam fight back his tears tryna be strong when he spoke. And 5 years later watching him fight back his tears in this interview hurts me the same. Long live the late great undisputed goat Nip Hussle 💙🏁
Likewise. Still had the video of him on my phone. I was on the side of the stage when he was speaking n I still cry every time I hear him. It was hard hearing him talk about it here even
@@FaisonSampson go back and watch his interviews.. No man is perfect and he did not claim to be, he did not glamorize or glorify gang life. He learned lessons and passed on knowledge to the youth.. As a father, son, grandson, brother, and friend he transitioned to a man in progress trying to walk into his purpose..
Not too sure that Sam will ever see this comment... but all love and appreciation for pushing through this conversation... for pushing through everything and continuing to keep Nipsey's spirit alive through The Marathon. Sam carries the energy of his brother more than anybody on this planet, and I hope he realizes that Nip lives through everything he does. The impact that Nip had, not only on his city, but on people all over the planet... is way more appreciated than fans can express. But that impact continues to live through what Sam is still able to bring us. So we thank you brudda! TMC FOREVER! Long live Nip FOREVER! Keep letting Nip's spirit live through you and we'll always be here to support and show love.
i dont know if he will see this either but i hope so because you just wrote a lot of what I feel about Sam too. he is so strong and i pray he gets back to having faith one day... that faith walk is important. We went from watching Nip but now watching Blacc Sam. To see him keep going is motivation
The fact that Sam has no social media accounts shows you how different he is. The fact that he has no social media accounts as a rich and known person is more admirable. Dude just get money and stay out the way 💯🏁
Brother Sam, can't even imagine your pain, my man. Nip is always with me... in my car, at home, in my earphones wherever I go. So the Marathon defiantly continues. RIP brother Nipsey Hussle. Shout out from Baku, Azerbaijan.
Sam is the epitome of ‘My Brothers Keeper’. Keeping Nip vision alive and thriving. God bless Sam and help him to heal. I know it’ll never be the same for him but help him to understand that he hasn’t let his brother down in no way shape or form. Rest in Paradise Nipsey 🏁💙🏁
Yes he has because the way he has treated Arimis’s daughter’s mother was very disappointing taking the daughter away from her mother because he wants to control the money Arimis left his daughter… Armis didn’t even do that.. his name black Sam equals black sheep… Sam does not have the same heart or inspiration as Arimis Aka Nipsey Hustle. I believe because of this the Marathon will not continue…Sam does not have the same assignment or sprint as Nipsey.
@@reachinghigher2023 you need to do your research. Nipsey’s daughter WANTED to be in Sam and the family’s custody. And clearly you are not following the Marathon movement. Sam has opened up his brothers shop and has it flourishing. And Nipsey’s earnings are put into a trust for his son and daughter..Sam went to court on the issue when Emani’s mother and others tried to lay claim on Nipsey’s earnings. Stop the cap lady
I fuck with how Blacc Sam speak. He wasn’t lying him and Nip like twins. He sounds like him. Answering with thought into it. He speaks with that vibe of a man who deserves respect when you hear him talk
All these interviews nowadays are completely opposite to this one! Hands down one of the best interviews of this year if not of all time! Genuine, Real, on track, no BS, and captivating throughout!
Y'all have a blessed night. Love Y'all forever. Blessings forever, beautiful GOD loves you forever, and Jesus loves you too forever. Teach everyone you know and don't know 😊
It was so trippy watching this because Sam & Nipsey look & sound so much alike, that I started imagining that it was Nipsey being interviewed, and imagining this is him being interviewed after surviving being shot. I wonder what life would be like if he survived 😔. R.I.P. Nipsey. And great interview Blacc Sam, keep your brothers legacy alive. You’re doing a good job 🕊️
Sam is the true definition of a solid individual man just like Nip, I met Sam a couple times while I was working security at a bank he would always speak to me and say “keep it going big dawg” I will continue to pray for healing for him and his family.
Lord, this tore me up. I just want to hug him. He not only lost his baby brother & business partner, but his best friend & protect him from all hurt & harm.
RIP Nip. Blacc Sam is a real one. Most humble guy I’ve ever met who was actually bout that life when necessary. He too was special. Hardest worker I’ve ever known. For about ten years straight I hustled a few blocks down from Sam. He actually put me on when I moved to LA. Those two guys earned everything they accomplished. This hurt real bad
Black Sam is the epitome of a man with integrity and honor. Respect to him and. Big Boy! If I had a big brother I would want him to be like Sam!Salute!
Seeing Sam emotional makes me emotional cause you can tell he really really really LOVE his little brother. You can feel that man. 😔. Rest in peace nip
@@joe-joejones180 i appreciate that. I started smoking marijuana a little bit after he passed. I understood exactly where Sam was coming from when he said he wanted to turn to drugs bc it bothers you mentally when you lose a close loved one. It is a terrible feeling
Thank you Blacc Sam for your vulnerability and sharing your story and brother with us. Thank you Big Boy for this content. We love you guys!!! Long Live Nip!
Sam sounded exactly like Nipsey when he said Nipsey said, "I'm not calling you ninjas🥹", Sam is a real one. That energy is coming back for folks that hated on Nipsey and caused his demise. Rip Nipsey, condolences to the family, friends and all the fans. Nipsey will forever be a legend. Rest up King
Bro went down after fighting 6 or 7 cases and said he knew it was meant to be cause he played his part. That’s faith. “Like when you step forward and know that the ground gonna support you, that’s how I felt about music” Nipseys portrait is on the wall next to my window so every morning when I look up and see the sun I see Ermias. The people who still love Nipsey needed this, thank you Sam. We still miss him too - from Maine
Blacc Sam referring to them folks that were at the scene as "Sheeple" is one of the realest things I've heard on this app!!! Blacc Sam a smart, smart man.
Whenever you hear Nip talk. He always said he learned everything from his brother. The Humbleness of these two guys man it’s no other way to describe it but Biblical. ♾️🏁💙
As an East African kid from Toronto Nip was a legend to me, I’d go visit Seattle and visit family and every time Nipsey came to Seattle he would always come show love to the East African community. Truly a humble artist who touched a lot of hearts globally and was beloved in East African communities worldwide. Nipsey got a mural in Toronto and everyone showed out for vigils at the time of his passing, he will truly be missed!
Watching Sam recount his brothers death and the pain in his voice shows you how deep this love for his brother went and his love for what they had together. Not physically but spiritually. I cried tears for Nip that day and I never met or knew the man. This is his legacy and impact. Sam is a stand up PROLIFIC man. Much love Sam.
One thing I really appreciate about this interview was how intentional Big was with getting to know Blacc Sam more. Naturally, Nip came up multiple times due to their love for each other and him being a large reason we know the AMI crew; but it was dope getting to know Blacc Sam a little more, great interview y’all! RIP Nip!! 🙏🏾
I met Sam in 2009 at the o.g store, he was at the stacking the shelves, doing inventory in the back he had on a grey jumpsuit that was dirty from the grind. Humble soft spoken man and was very kind to a tourist from 🇰🇪 I asked him where nip was and he said “he at the studio” great memories, great to see him pushing on with the legacy they both created 🏁🏁🏁
The only regret as a Nip fan was I never got to hear him over a Dr. Dre beat, not a freestyle of a mixtape, I mean Nip & Dre in the studio together. Long Live Nip and much respect to Blacc Sam. One love all the way from Illinois.
The greatest accomplishment of his parents is them having two sons who gave eachother all the credit. An older brother who put a plan together to make sure his little brother became the biggest, & a little brother who always seen his big brother in the brightest light. The love they had for eachother is truly one of a kind. May God bless Blacc Sam the rest of his days, he deserves to see the fruits of him & his brother’s labor. The marathon continues 🏁💙
Even the EMT were sus AF... Nip was shot through the chest, you dont do cpr on a gunshot victim with holes in their lungs! They did Nip dirty. Wack100 spreading rumors, Cowboy didnt shoot back, eric had an expensive lawyer practically day 1... has corrupt cops and someone rich probably connected to mossad written all over it.
Serious shit, this is one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. This is how a host navigates through a persons souls and he allowed him to be comfortable and let him move at his own pace. He didn’t pressure Sam, he wasn’t trying to get sound bites for clicks, just two friends talking and the most important thing was the listening. I fucking damn near teared up when the inevitable part was coming about Nips murder, I could still remember that day like when Kobe died. That sucked the joy right out of the body and i immediately froze up. I remember laying on my couch at night just super bummed and angry and let down in so many ways. Sam stepped out do his box to give us his thoughts man and how selfless dude is, I’m forever rooting for you Sam, just to see you proud of your brother and family allow me to say is for ya as well!!! the marathon continues! Mad love from the 805 !!! Nip the King!
I drove from Oxnard to dodger stadium to watch them beat the Diamondbacks and was so happy we got that W…until I turned on the radio on the ride home and heard what happened to Nip. Shit sucked the happiness right out of my body.
I’m sure all the people and fans who supported Nipsey is very proud that this interview happened. Appreciate Big Boy and Sam for doing this, and I’m very sure Nip is proud as well. The Marathon Continues RIP NIPSEY!!!
I’m from Philly. I first heard of nip in high school I was 16 (2010) that’s when I first heard the marathon mixtape, and it changed my life. This man gave me so much inspiration. He is the definition of finding your purpose and passion in life. I used to have suicidal thoughts and nips music was the only thing that got me thru those times. I never met him but I always felt his energy. I’m forever hurt by this 💔💔💔 but he left a blueprint for us to follow and I’m forever grateful
I see so much of nip in Sam. I hope you realize how great you are as an individual as well. It’s like a piece of nip that’s still here u mean look at em listen to him. Thank you for this interview sam we needed this. We miss nip too. The marathon continues.
i was in la county holding tank awhile back with blacksam, I didnt know who he was at the time, but i remember i noticed everyone in the cell treated him like some hood celebrity. He seemed like a down to earth dude to me, now i understand why everyone had respect for him.
There is something TRULY TRULY special about Blk Sam and Nip. Has nothing to do with music, but more to do with SACRIFICE..HONOR..LOYALTY...RESPECT...NO-ONE can take that away!!! You can take someone's life, but NEVER their spirit. They don't make em like this anymore...The Legacy Continues! NIP LIVES ON! Bless you Sam!💛💜💚🖤😍😍😍🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🌻🌻🌻
One thing I can say about their CIRCLE, the all stayed solid throughout the whole process of them putting this whole Marathon together. Everyone knew their place and their role when it came to the foundation. Much love and appreciation.
Big Boy did an AMAZING job interviewing Black Sam with so much love, honor and respect! It made me cry to see the Love Black Sam had for his brother since childhood. You could see in his eyes, feel his energy and the way he spoke highly of his brother l. It just shows us all how we should honor and love our brothers and sisters. Black Sam is doing a great job keeping Nipsey’s legacy alive and the way he protects it is so honorable. I am a huge fan of Nipsey Hussle and his energy will always inspire the world. Long Live King Ermias aka Nipsey Hussle 💙
That day, March 31, 2019, a black cloud descended over the city of Los Angeles. You could literally FEEL that a gifted divine completely incredible soul had just left the world. The hole Nipsey's passing left in the hearts of his loved ones was definitely felt in ours. I live right around the corner from The Marathon and Im telling you.... it was a sad sad day. We could not understand. Why? Why Nip? 😭😭😭 A hole has been left in this world. & I feel it's so unfair that demon gets to breath in jail... and we lost a great GREAT human being. Who contributed. Who meant everything to us. Who added value and good. Thank you , Black Sam, for doing this interview. My heart, prayers & positive vibes continue to go out to you and your family. Nipsey will always be great. Will always be remembered fondly. We love him. Forevermore. LONG LIVE NIP HUSSLE THA GREAT 🙏🏽💙💪🏾♿💙🙏🏽
Wasnt no Black cloud bro. 99.9% of LA continues on. Trash was still picked up, restaurants still made food, and people still had sex. No1 felt a "gifted divine completely incredible soul" had left. Bro you super duper xtra. Yes it was a lost, but you overexaggerating.
I was working at the Georgia Aquarium. Went outside to smoke & saw a female I work with looking at her phone crying like she was in pain. I asked her what's wrong and she said, "they got Nip"... The streets cried that day. 🙏🏾💙🧠💪🏾💯🎙️👑♾️
I remember we were celebrating my best friend bday we were drunk in the air BNB and she jumped up and said “they saying they killed Nipsey” everybody cried and was shook
Maybe it’s me thinking too hard (as I do)… while I truly wish Nip was still with us, I found it powerful that before he passed , in his bro’s presence, he remained with him and was breathing. He didn’t go out until he was alone. He stayed as strong as he could in his bro’s presence. I pray Sam understands the power of brotherly love. Even in his weakness, he was holding on strong in the midst of death with his bro…same as he held on strong in life with his bro. Sam and Nip will always be connected, physically & now spiritually 💕
One of the best and most impactful sit downs I’ve ever seen. Im glad Sam doesn’t talk much because that made this special. This was not an interview, this was the world being let in to witness a conversation. I stopped listening to Nips music about a year after he passed, not at all because I forgot about him or because he can be replaced, but strictly because it hurt to understand what was taken from us. To know there was so much more he had to offer us, so much more in store, so much more MUSIC, so much more business, so much more innovation, so much more MOTIVATION was stolen from us. I can’t imagine what Blacc Sam has gone through man. Much respect to him for keeping Nips legacy sacred and pushing for everything Nip stood for and wanted to do 💯. RIP Nip 😢

Legend.

❤❤❤❤
Blacc Sam is a good big bro. Whole heartedly Supporting someone's dream is the ultimate form of respect and love.
Shoutout to Sam he been carrying the load on his own since Nip left ❤
Yes he’s not alone though. He’s never been alone. He Got a mighty and most powerful God with him always and I hope he always knows that

I wouldn’t say on his own he mentioned the team multiple times
RIP Nip 😢
@@JerseyMac11 Man I just got chills reading this bro. It’s as if I wrote this 14 hours ago as the name JerseyMac11. Everything from the timing, words used, sentence sequence, commas, etc. Wow my brother, to know it is more like us existing is a blessing 💯
Interview of the year!
100 Percent
1000%
For sure!
ON BLOODS 💯 SALUTE TO BIG BOY AND SAM
