    Thanks for doing the video.
The problem is a more common issue with the battery connections on these trucks as they age.
What happens is the crossover cable corrodes internally and needs to be replaced.
    I have an 06 5.9L 3500 4x4 with 220k.
I just recently upgraded/replaced all my power cables and grounds and went with AGM’s. I went with the military connectors also. Huge electrical improvement!!!!
Some people have deleted the grid heater and passenger side battery. By doing so, frees up allot of space for other mods you can do with your truck. I haven’t done this yet.
Another major electrical problem with Dodge trucks is the TIPM (Total Integrated Power Module).
I have the original TIPM in my truck. I found cleaning the TIPM and associated electrical connectors reduces most electrical problems found.
The TIPM software can be re-flashed or reset. Find a shop that has the Chrysler software, don’t take it to the dealer.
I have had several off the wall electrcal issues with my truck over the years and it was the TIPM in most cases.
I just recently had a ghost 4LO randomly flash on my dash. After allot of research on Forums/YT and electrical testing I found the smoking gun to fix this problem.
The pin connections at the Transfer case connector pig tail (Female) and the associated connector at TIPM were slightly loose (Mechanical Resistance/Drag). Tightened the pins, problem solved.
I can’t take credit for this. Another guy on Cummins Forum found the solution. It took 14 months of shop troubleshooting to resolve this issue.
There are several great videos on YT and forums resolving electrical issues with these trucks.
    Again thanks for sharing.

I've got a 2009 5500 i just acquired with the same issues you had. Two batteries. The alternator the previous owner had on it was 136 amp but Dodge parts dept says my vin # calls for a 220, but it doesnt fit between the bottom brackets.... Googled it and found info it may also be a 320 amp. Soooooo confused. You have any thoughts on that?
I will definitely be cleaning the crossovers, either way.

My 2006 has the stock 136A. Dodge went with the 220A in 2007 models and up. Hopes this helps.

I'm having an issue where the volts show low and then after a minute or 2 of running then the volts jump to 14 and stay up. Does this sound like a crossover? I did find a positive clamp to be cracked where it connect to battery post.

grid heater makes your volts bounce when you first turn your truck on , completely normal, unless your volts are staying low, you should be good

Common issue. ECM reads voltage off the passenger battery. There is a trick using battery jumper cables from one battery to the other to see if it’s the crossover battery cable.
