By the time you're done with a hive like this, even if you didn't get stung, do you have a lot of stingers in your clothes? If so, what do you do about it?
This is horrifying. A huge part of the problem is that neglected properties allow these hives to thrive. Responsible property ownership is more important than ever.
Good point Sean, but I think with these bees they seem to be unstoppable and would always find an alternative..That’s only my thinking though as I’m not an expert like these guys 👍
@@Mick-h7i I wanted to take a photo as I was driving through Cochise County on the way to the airport just how vast the land is there. So many places for these bees to nest, and much of it hard to access.
@@Mick-h7i I'll tell you, no matter what we send them, those suits are still horrifically hot. I'm glad we're able to help a bit but I know it's still torture. The guys are heroes.

Oh My Lord I really don’t know how you stay so cool..But I guess like you said of over 30 years in the game..I really didn’t realise even with the right equipment you can still get stung multiple times..Take care out there..Can’t wait for the next one 👌
Bee suits are made for beekeepers, not killer bee exterminators in Arizona. It's a balance between bee stings and heatstroke. We're always looking for better ways to keep the guys safe.
headline Beaumont Tx CBS KBMT Sunday. First responders contend with bees at scene of fiery fatal crash. this was in Newton County TX an hour north of Beaumont.
Removing the comb disrupts the hive to the extent that they will return looking for it (see all the remnants piled up? That’s the only entrance they know, and it’s blocked) and die waiting to get in. They knocked down a lot of bees with spray adhesive. They will treat the area to make it smell bad so no other bees will inhabit it. The hive can’t live without their home and food, and they hadn’t “planned” to swarm, so they die. Hope that makes sense. Maybe the guys can explain it better.
Interesting, I cannot believe the intelligence bees have, especially these particular creatures. It is mind boggling to be completely honest. I also want to thank your entire team for what y’all do to eliminate these man made demons from hell. Putting your safety in harms way on a daily basis is an incredible feat of self sacrifice y’all do for us all in the community. Thank you again!
I can't find the video now, but you guys were working on a hive in an underground irrigation box I believe & there was no hive/honey combs. Do you see that often?
Ever find that someone reports bees and you show up to discover it turns out to be those nasty attitude evil filled yellow jackets that often nest in the ground? If so, how do you deal with them?
@@KillerBeeGuy thank you for reply. Now if those truly, vile, wicked, giant Asian hornets ever decide to show up…I think those things make bee people such as you, and pest control people, have to invest in much tougher protective attire to deal with them. That would be like a horror movie to come across them. I watch the videos of those things…very scary🫣😳😱

There were 20K or 30K remnants there KiKi!

We each got stung around a dozen times. We wash the suits. Doesn't really work.
@@KillerBeeGuy : unbelievable. You guys have brass balls. It makes sense that washing the suits doesn't work, because the phenoromes effect remains.

The remnant bees will die off over the coming days.
