4:52:30 since it's not an online game or anything I can only imagine that it would've been easy enough to flesh out the planets by generating little 'minecraft' worlds across a few specific landing biomes on the planets and moons. They'd generate on your first time landing with caves, buildings, towns and such and remain persistent for the save once generated. Feels like that would've been a nice balance of being able to land 'anywhere' and be able to fit the 'oh wow what is that over there' experience into an smaller, more practical scale.
1:58:45 missed opportunity on bethesda's part for your inventory/weight capacity to change based on the gravity of the planet/moon you're currently on. Like, if you're on a planet with 1/4th earth's gravity, and you're jumping 20+ft in the air casually, it should be feasible for you to carry much more than you normally would be able to.
The warp drive thing you're talking about is in Elite Dangerous. They did it years ago. Although kinda like No Man's Sky, since the universe is so huge all the planets and stuff are pretty scant in terms of details and what you can do on them; and since it's all procedurally generated they get pretty samey rather quick. You should check out Mandalore's review of it.
He still mostly talks as if it is, so I'm--- passively hopeful... I think the only legit criticism is the lack of transparency. I don't understand why he doesn't just come out and say what's been going on. People would almost certainly understand. But all of this has been said before, and all of this will be said again (er, so say we all... ).
@@SabiJD It probably has something to do with his family, I understand why he doesn't necessarily feel comfortable talking about it. I can't say its a decision I would have were I in his place, but clearly he values privacy to a greater extent than me, or maybe it involves someone else and they have asked him not to discuss it. I feel quite bad for him, having people breathing down your neck about something and not being able to explain why you can't fulfill a promise youve made yet must be a very frustrating and sad position to be in.
@@noarmsnolife6665 strongly agree with you man. he's explained his life has gotten a lot more complicated and requires more time and attention because he has more so many more responsibilities now. but if i can speak from my point of view, i love his content because he clearly got the time he felt comfortable to research and think about it and think about what he wants to say about it. i love his analysis vids because you could tell he loved making his analysis of video games, because he had the time to make them and make sure he was proud of them. and he does them in a way like someone would legitimately in an in depth analysis of a book or novel. how many books or novels have people for centuries still debating what hidden meaning or nuances or allegories that literally are still brought up in high-school English classes? we aren't here for "the right answers" we're here cause we want his English honors book report of a videogame we love and to hear what he thinks of the stories and ideas within. ; and to be fair, if the rest where honors high-school English reports; the Witcher 3 might as well be his official doctorate dissertation. if he wanted to, he could drop the witcher 3 video tomorrow and it be two hours of just the sound of him farting and honestly thats his right to do so. you know when you were a kid and were on your way to go do a chore and got stopped and yelled at to go do said chore by a parent so now you REALLY REALLY dont want to do it? like that.
