It's cool that when launching with a gun the animation doesn't completely break and Jak still wiggles his legs. A lot of games resort to T-posing when doing unintended stuff like this.
This is most likely due to Jak's highly adaptable 3d animation blending techniques. Jak's animation blending was pretty advanced, which allows a set of priorities to command certain actions. The gun holding probably being pretty high. This is why when Jak moves at steep inclines, his runing posture changes heavily. This was not animated, and is merely the animation blending process taking account for the game's incline; technically it is using these variables to create an entirely "new" animation.
I really liked the launcher pass, felt like they could’ve done some cool stuff with them like how in Sonic Adventure you use them to jump from area to area

This makes me wish jak 1 elements were in jak 2 and 3
3:20 was there originally a hud menu for the dark powers?
Yeah in this version you had to use the dpad to activate dark powers. But only dark punch is implemented.
I always wondered just why in the world they didn't have red yellow or blue eco in j2 or 3 :/

Jak is no longer able to harness them, due to the Dark Eco injections tarnishing his body. This impurity is mentioned in Mar's Tomb.
9:22 I imagine that the "flut" option will freeze the game. I am right?
It works if there is flutflut in any of the loaded levels (or the engine). No known Jak II build has flutflut anywhere at all.

@@jak3489 Jak II is a sequel to TPl. This menu entry wasn't in the way. And in Jak 3, it works again, when conditions are met.
