Guatemalan Folk Dance

This dance was performed in downtown San Jose in the Parque de los Pabladores. It was wonderful to see this park get used to host Guatemalan Folklorico dancers. This dance group is based out of San Mateo, CA. Their beautiful costumes consist of feathers, mirrors and masks.
A local museum celebrated LatinX Heritage Month and arranged for this Guatemalan Folklorico group to perform in conjunction with our Mayan Traje: A Tradition in Transition exhibition.
