I doubt this is a Mayan dance. This dance was more likely made up as a way to entertain tourists. Most of my culture, from my Mayan heritage, has been lost, and btw the brown folks in the video are wearing traditional slave clothing.

Mayans had arranged marriages and polygimy and older men who had more property or economic possibilities were favored by the young women's parents just like EVERYWHERE. ELSE IN THE WORLD. Im a Mrxocan woman in the USA, same thing here also; and everywhere else in the world. 😀
