It honestly does sound like a way better story.

But it's fun watching people react that have no context from the books. Just reiterates how bad of a job the movies did!

3:50 When my advanced lit class made me read the first book, I only made it around 3/4 of the way through, and a good 80% of what I read was Bella's internal monolog, constantly whining about how she like Edward and wants him to notice her because he's so mysterious and dangerous. The movie sounds like it stuck pretty well to the book with her though, as she had less personality than wet cardboard in the book.

I've only seen the first one and couldn't tell you what happened in it. I was meeting two guild members for the first time for a girls weekend and all i remember is having a slurpee to drink and when a group of older women in front of us started going batshit for Jacob, my raid leader was like, Calm down ladies, you know he's like 16 or something and young enough to be your kid!

Watching these movies when they were coming out was an incredibly wild time because a lot of the people who were there (including myself and a few friends) were definitely NOT treating them seriously. It was obvious from interviews that the cast, especially by the end, wasn't really taking it seriously either. We were all just there to witness the spectacle of a terrible movie adapted from a terrible book. I think my favorite moment is when Force Ghost Edward tells Bella to lie to someone, she says something really stupid, and then Edward just goes "LIE BETTER".

3:50 When my advanced lit class made me read the first book, I only made it around 3/4 of the way through, and a good 80% of what I read was Bella's internal monolog, constantly whining about how she like Edward and wants him to notice her because he's so mysterious and dangerous. The movie sounds like it stuck pretty well to the book with her though, as she had less personality than wet cardboard in the book.

I've only seen the first one and couldn't tell you what happened in it. I was meeting two guild members for the first time for a girls weekend and all i remember is having a slurpee to drink and when a group of older women in front of us started going batshit for Jacob, my raid leader was like, Calm down ladies, you know he's like 16 or something and young enough to be your kid!

I worked at a movie theatre when these all came out and I saw 12 year old kids up to women in their 50s wearing Team Edward and Team Jacob garb for each movie. It was wild. When the first one came out, I looked very similar to Bella at the time and I got all kinds of looks and comments from my coworkers and from people seeing the movie. It was very weird

Watching these movies when they were coming out was an incredibly wild time because a lot of the people who were there (including myself and a few friends) were definitely NOT treating them seriously. It was obvious from interviews that the cast, especially by the end, wasn't really taking it seriously either. We were all just there to witness the spectacle of a terrible movie adapted from a terrible book.
I think my favorite moment is when Force Ghost Edward tells Bella to lie to someone, she says something really stupid, and then Edward just goes "LIE BETTER".
