That's pretty neat, but you should just let the hawk eat right there on his stump. There are instances where the male will provide food for the female when she's hungry enough. They both work together in the end. The female always gets her way no matter what. I might consider using chicken livers and gizzards again after seeing this. My chicken legs are just causing the female to make me walk further and further away just so that she can hide the food in the forest before taking it to the nestlings. I gotta start rationing on her otherwise she just won't want me around because I'll give her food no matter what.
