Another russian band called Motorama exists more than 10 years. I thought people got russian post-punk from them, not from today's talents.

UA-cam algorithm chooses not everyone. Someone has to seat alone with their 20k views, while someone is Molchat Doma. But this is great music too.

(according to goog translate) pronounced 'Gruppa Khmurry' and the album is 'Kartiny' and the internet says that translates to Gloomy Group - Pictures. If someone actually Russian and not just a bot could please confirm.

Am a bot, but to me it sounds like The "Gloomy" Group and "Gloomy" in this case is in a form that might imply that Gloomy is someone's nickname. And yes, kartiny means paintings.

Russian cold industrial psychedelic post-punk underground of 2017 seems like a way better revolution than this of 100 years ago... not only it is inensive and profound, but also soul-fortifying! This project is just another proof that something heavy and organic is going on there!

apart from being translated directly as frowning, the word "khmúry" is also considered as a slang euphemism for heroin. I suppose that this interpretation might be more precise in the context)

Столько крутых вещей за последние 3-5 лет вышло. А дураки кричат что нет хорошей музыки, во дела. Особенно радует то что русская сцена потихоньку подтягивается, после провала в "красном" периоде.
Глядишь и школы снова строится начнут, и ракеты наконец новые придумаем, и ввп в мировой экономике скоро уже наконец то будет топовым, музыка то ведь уже хорошая пришла.
