    Fun video. A good complementary topic for a future video might be exotic woods and resins. And cruelty to plants, of course...
    As far as I know, non-macerated (="fresh", in a sense) ambergris is still occasionally found in the intestines of sperm whale cadavers today, often still encapsulating indigestible parts of the whales' prey, mainly squid beaks. Before whaling was widely banned, sperm whales were hunted mainly for fat, but the ambergris was a welcome secondary product that was marketed to the cosmetics and food industries.

    Absolutely fascinating video. I love learning about where these strange ingredients come from, how they were discovered and collected. It's wild that many of these are something that smells awful at full strength but someone somehow decided to dilute it and found it actually smells quite pleasant.
