When I saw the price of the previous Titanium versions I thought it was too much money for a G Shock because I didn't like the designs or the colors, it didn't make sense to me. When this version came out I didn't hesitate for a second to get it and now that I have it I understand everything. It is a spectacular watch that weighs nothing and the details are superb. I am very happy with it and it is worth every penny.
I have bought this watch and absolutely love it along with my blue camo Titanium Square …the price is hight because of the materials used in construction 👍

It’s a very cool watch. Tried it on and it’s deceptively lightweight. I feel like these metal g shocks negate what I like about g shocks, they’re low price! They’re meant to be thrashed about and I wouldn’t be doing that for one of these pieces at their current price.

Why shouldn't there be more choices? I've got a cheap beater G-shock but also a full metal one that I baby but wouldn't even look bad with scratches. The metal G looks great on formal outfits as well which i can't say for resin watches.

I’m in Montreal and found them by chance. When I heard you partnered with them, I was happy for you that you were able to partner with them. They seem to be “the real deal”. For this one, I love the sci-fi, military-like, space suite-type of markings on it. Like you said; it looks really cool. For me, my favorite release for 2021 in the G-Shock roster is the “Casioak” (GM-2100 series) - I have the blue version (GM2100N-2A) and it’s sleek, functional and a daily wear that can be worn in both an elegant/formal and casual settings. G-Shock must stand for "graphic designers are trying to shock you" on this one... Trully looks like an exercise of a graphic designer explaining everything he thought of. But the final shock of the price leaves you with a "Gosh!" in the end! Yet, another G-Shock, one of the thousands out there, not bad, but... why??? Cheers Bob, be well mate.
It looks great of course . I bought the metal “Tron” g-shock - which looks great - but must be honest the novelty wore off and I sold it. I worry it would be the same with this one… it does look super cool though. Love the aesthetic .
I could see that over time that novelty wearing off. Other than the text it kind of has a more traditional look than the Tron but both are pretty cool watches. Thanks!
This is a lot more subtle than the tron in the metal, I don’t think the novelty will wear off. When you see it, you realise it’s actually dark grey with very understated red accents and the text is so small and well toned that it blends into the overall design.
Although is out of production and cant be found anywhere, at almost $2k (with tax) this one is not for me. There are so many spectacular wristwatches at this price range and from many great brands; Damasko, Frederique Constant, Alpina, Sinn, Seiko...you name it, Tissot?. In general the price is not right with this model as is mostly directed at fan-boy G-Shock collectors, wealthy "flexers" and watch bloggers!
That's a killer G-shock, but the price (like you said) makes it not very attainable. I'd rather get a MTG-B2000 with better finishing and save some $$$. Thanks for the overview Bob!

I don’t have a G-Shock in my collection, but I’ve considered a metal square. G-Shock keeps making some compelling metal squares I may add one, but unfortunately not this one at $1600.

Great review Bob, this one and the Tron are my favorite looking G-Shock's. But yeah, at that price, wouldn't be treating it like a G-Shock. I'll have to get down to Gem Bijou soon to see if he can get the G-Shock AWM500D and any Casio Oceanus'. Been since Nov since I bought any watches, so brains getting that itch
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces the Oceanus line is a fabulous everyday high end quartz line that is so rarely reviewed by UA-camrs, I would have one already, but the one I like best is the OCW S5000 with the Edo Kiriko bezel. I can't find one online for less than $2600 CAD and my mind has trouble paying that much for a quartz piece, but they are all great and have their version of the Zaratsu polishing on the case. You can get some versions in and around $500-$700 CAD
Thanks for this look...it's not bad but the price is way too high. Especially for something that I may need to squint at to read. For legibility and value, I am really loving my Casioak but wish it had a date on it.
I think it is a good try from Casio to (continue) level up a mythical model. It looks really cool but sometimes "overdesigned". I think it's another chapter of the story that started a few years ago with the metal and the titanium square models. It's a kind of evolution of that. And as its predecessors, a bit pricey. I love G Shock but the prices of some of the models are ludicrous... You can get the same module in a 200 dollar watch. The materials and finishing makes a 600 dollar watch. I'm being generous...

The novelty wears off in everything. Including new girlfriends.
