I LOVE YOU GUYS !! Thank you for being a great Sport ❤
You can see a proper salesman kick in when that lady came in about the noise, no wonder you run a very successful company lol
This comment is too loud. I’ve clients in here and your keyboard is booming. You’re the nuisance. You’re making the noise. You have to do something about this
What about Tissot?
We all need to donate our used egg boxes to the place next door . Lets assist with their soundproofing 😂😂
Nico, it would be awesome if you guys took request from sub's about which movie moments with watches we want identified!
I’m not poor! I’m underfunded.
Same
Me too
Underrated comment
Not poor just born in the wrong bracket. We all must identify as rich and be treated as such🤣
we should found a club
Nico could film his videos in Antarctica and still get noise complaints😂😂
He would be better filming in his home.
Nico the walrus.
“You are the nuisance” that done me in 😂
He can also film in the Moon and still get noise complaints by the Aliens 👽
@@ewolmullac6706 that got me as well 😂
This is not poor enough. We need Nico to do an Aliexpress collection.
That will prolly be full of SKMEIs 😂
I have a few of those. 😅
Mostly used as props.
Tbf San Martin aren’t all too bad value for money
Bro offended gender and living standards😂
Pagani Design. Better than Seiko or Citizen tbh.....
Citizen saved my life! Was swimming and diving in to a river. I come up from the bottom and climbed out to dive in again and was covered in blood, pouring out from my wrist and forearm. Had hit a broken bottle. The strap on the Citizen watch has a big gouge out of it right about where the main veins run. If I had not been wearing the watch that day I believe I would have been in serious trouble as no doubt the veins would have been torn to shreds! So Citizen watches have a place in my heart since that day. Was very lucky!
I always see incredible stories people have about their connections to certain watch brands. I love hearing them. Never thought a watch could save a life
Everyone buy Nico's merch so he can buy his own building to yell and bang in peace.
AMEN!!!!
Look at the size of Nico. Needs at least his own island

I love how Nico is just as stoked on a Timex as he is for a Rolex. Absolute genuine enthusiast right therr
I love that he can shit on a $800 Hublot but a $20 Casio F-91 is what he takes home that night lol
I seen a couple of Timex watches...where if you switched just the name and used a swiss watch name, you would believe it's a much more expensive swiss watch. And it had a quartz movement, so you know it's likely very accurate.
Timex had been in a roll as of late. Especially with their automatic lauches.
@@ThatGuyUpThere Ten years ago I had always seen Timex as the cheap, boring brand. But nowadays I have a Timex on my wrist almost every day. Absolutely fantastic products they are producing now.
Nico, I just want to say I'm very impressed with the way you handled yourself with the noise complaint. I definitely wouldn't have handled it with the grace you did, my immediate thought would have been "I'm paying for the space the same as you are, I'll do whatever I want in my studio." Especially after their condescending tone calling you a nuisance.
Bravo for handling that with such class. Absolute legend man.
that subtle roast where he says "I made this video for you guys" while having the caption on the video "for POOR People" lololol
Not sure if you would see this after nearly 700 comments, but thanks for genuinely inspiring me to start a watch collection
I'm 16 and started my first job at a high street jewelers about 2 and a half months ago. You got me into watches years ago, and after my first paycheck I decided to get a Seiko 5 sports SRPD55K1. On my second paycheck, I got a Casio tiffany Datejust since I saw it sitting in the window at the store and got it for £30 after my employee discount.
Anyways, I'm thinking of picking up the Rotary dress watch after my next paycheck with the bonus I'm getting to round off my 3 watch collection. I wouldn't have even started this collection if it wasn't for you so I just wanted to say thanks for everything ❤
Which is the best watches under 50$/£
Put some money into a market link fund instead of watches.
I know it's boring, but you''ll thank me when you are 40

Videos like this are more needed. I am new to the watch game and not rich enough to be blowing over £500 on a watch yet. The Timex Q Chronograph was the gateway into watches for me last year. I now have that and a Casio MTP-1302PD-2A2VEF... Love your videos and one day I will work my way up to some dream watches!
That Casio is litterly the best looking budget watch under 60 euros. I bought it this year and can't belive how good it is for the price.
I've had a weird change in watch collecting ,, I've been going for Tissots, Hamilton, Oris , the kind of affordable entry level , ive got an Omega and Tudor.
However I'm really into citizen divers , and Timex , they have changed recently and they are making some lovely looking watches, im wondering if the partnership with the UFC is bringing in money so they are spending more on design etc...
I never put Timex in my collection but I've bought one recently and will get a couple more
"price doesnt matter to women anyways because they dont pay it" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Niko is like the Jeremy Clarkson of watch UA-cam - You know you shouldn’t laugh but it is hilarious 😂
Thank you Nico for making the watch world a better place. I am currently wearing a Garmin, which I love for heart rate and steps. I got a lot of Casios i wear sometimes. Videos like this make it feel like you’re talking to me.
I know your channel caters to the expensive and I can also say affordable. Yes I know there are some videos like that already posted, but this was a good episode thank you Nico.
I will continue to grow and learn so that that way I can one day be able to buy a watch from you.
Also, I like when you’re loud, just keep researching sound deadening. Have one of your crewmembers go to another room to see if they can hear you.
Love your comment, thank you so much for the support and kind words! Means allot!
I'm wearing a Margin. It's a Garmin knock off, but with a Tates Compass. As they say, he who has a Tates is lost.
If you want more accuracy in steps count and health stats, samsung galaxy watches starting from the galaxy 4 are probably a good bet. They can even use electric current to measure your muscle mass/body fat percentage.
I love bringing old Seikos back to life, using as many original parts of the watch as possible, or using Seiko parts if I can’t. Great way to learn about the watch, and invest some of yourself in it too. Good watches are possible for under £200 ( just don’t count the tool costs…..)
Make more of this content! I really enjoyed this👍
Was enjoying this video, and then it quickly ends with Nico saying saying the Casioak "glitch" thats on my wrist right now is nice, made my whole day lol.
A brand for consideration: REC - they typically make watches out of old cars, planes and motorbikes which is cool for people into that stuff (like me), but they also have recently started doing some cheaper watches which are inspired by motoring history - I have 2 of them and the quality is absolutely sublime for the money, I wore one as my wedding watch! Not an in house automatic mechanism, but lovely craftsmanship regardless in my opinion 🤙🏽
8:12 To be honest, I've have had a similar problem with a studio in the past.
As it turned out, the office next door, shared an old ventilation duct/channel that was covered up with drywall.
I know it's definitely not going to be the same... But, could be something similar.
Wow I was so surprised how Nico handled that, If you share a work space and/or (like me) work in a customer facing job then there's something that can be learned from this! In all honesty I would have told them to f-off especially how they were like "you're to problem you have to fix it". I have an abrasive personality which is a challenge when dealing with customer/coworkers but seeing how Nico defused the situation made me really think about how I should take such an approach to similar situations in life.
@@christiancastro434He was being nice...

Aye! Here’s my list for this category:
1. Seiko SNKL23 (Seiko Hodinkee) $80
2. Seiko SNXS series $75-90
3. Tissot Heritage quartz $190
4. Swatch May Black/Clear Water Chronograph $185
5. Casio Oak GShock GA-B2100 $140
6. Casio GShock G5600 $99
7. Citizen Promaster Automatic $180-200
8. Citizen Ecodrive Yellow AW1760 $150
9. Timex Indiglo (coz its not below $50 anymore)
10. Any casio digital metal watch
I would avoid Orient here… P.S. these are Jomashop Prices…
Is Jomashop a reliable website to buy from? I don’t know too much about the watch marketplace
@@gingershavenosouls7 Seems that they mostly purchase older models from manufacturers. It'd be considered a grey market, because it's new but not from a dealer. I'm assuming they aren't authorized dealers, idk. I bought a Tissot Powermatic 80 chronometer from them for half of retail price and ended up selling it for a little more than what I bought it for. Seems reliable in my experience.
I'm not a fan of quartz movements, but the Eco drive by citizen is cool. An eco drive was my first watch, then Tissot Powermatic 80. I've had friends looking for watches and wanted to get MVNT but talked them into Citizen because for the same price its better quality.
@@gingershavenosouls7 They are legit in that they sell real watches. As long as the watch you are buying is shown as "in stock", you will receive the watch. Watches that have a wait time are watches they need to source, which could take weeks to never but they keep your money while you wait. Their warranty is most likely worthless so if you have a problem, you're SOL. That being said, on some watches, you can buy from Joma, get it serviced from the brand paying out of pocket, and still save money when compared to buying it from an AD.
Casio Duro $50 👍
Citizen ecodrive. I have a tag , and a breitlin for special occasions. But my red arrows Citizen ecodrive!! I'm a groundworker in the building trade and I have wore it daily for nearly 5 years and it still goes very strong and keeps time so good compared to my other 2. I never have to adjust time on that like I do my others
Orient Bambino, Orient Ray II Raven. I’ve owned both and got the Bambino (2nd gen II) new for £99 but that was 2015. Raven I got last year for around £180 and it’s a 200m dive watch. A lot of watch for the money with in house Japanese mechanical movements. No brainer. I also have a Citizen Eco Drive which I love for its understated simplicity, mid-century aesthetic and damn good accuracy - plus no need for batteries and £130.
My dad got me a Seiko 5 for $75 in 2002. Now they're creeping up to 500 cdn. I gave up on expensive watches the year and decided to cultivate a taste for Casios and Timexes. I just ordered a white Casio Solar 220c and I couldn't be happier if that was a white Rolex Explorer 2.
Hello, Nico!
My father’s was a watch collector, and because of him i start loving watches!
After he past away about two years ago, i sold all my watches.
After i start watching your channel about 1 month ago my passion for watches came back and i start once again my collection.
Thank you for that! Cheers!
One of the best videos by far for me considering those are exactly the kind of watches I can afford. I hope to see you do more like this so i can make good purchases Nico.
Hey Nico! Love your videos!! Just started to collect watches. Was looking at watch reviews and I suddenly found you! You are really cool and funny. Just wondering whether you can list the top 10 best cheap automatic & sapphire crystal watches.
Would love a video on affordable Swiss brands like Mido, certina, glycine, tissot, Hamilton ect. And a video on “POOR”micro brands like Islander and deep blue.
Agreed on Bulova's nonsense, most of their stuff is absolutely horrendous (their prices on their site too). I think they have a few gems though, like you said. Their vintage inspired ones like the automatic Hack/A11 can often be had for under $200 new (I paid $170 for the white dial version); and was my gateway to mechanical watches.
When people want to move up a bit on the price scale, the Oceanographer and the Jet Star are pointing them (hopefully) back in the right direction when it comes to good watch design. The accuracy of the precisionist movement (+/- 5s/month) and the smooth sweep of the seconds hand on the Jet Star makes it a lot cooler than if it was regular quartz.
Poor is a state of mind, we're broke😂
Best part of this video is when the neighbors arrived being confrontational and Nico says, "First off, let me introduce myself."
People don't know how to speak to people anymore. Even if Nico is accidentally being a nuisance, you don't approach a stranger making demands. That's the opposite of how to get what you want.
And he himself is also working. Some people have no manners.
@@monkey_ish4117true, wouldn't surprise me if the fit out company sound proofed the walls facing into his office and left the back wall untouched 😂
Funny in all my watches the one I get the most eyeballs on is my Casio. Its a MTP1302D-2A2V (Tiffany Casio) and even a few folks have said "Is that a rolex" lol. But most just say "Hey nice watch" . Love the everyday sub $200 watch that I can wear and not be afraid to scratch or damage.
Just picked one of those up yesterday. Definitely worth the pocket change.
Bruh it's 40 dollars what are you talking about, mine gets the same reaction but it's a lot less than what you paid for😂
I have a watch I got from costco by a designer Vince Camuto, super inexpensive, relatively accurate and people always say something about it lol.
just searched up the watch, wow they actually look very good!
Cope harder
“Nico the nuisance” 😂. I have some nice pieces Rolex GMT, Ball, etc but I wear a $150 Deep Blue (Seiko movement) as my everyday watch and the thing is unstoppable. Been scuba diving with it 20 times and it hasn’t skipped a beat. Solid warranty too.
2024 Six Pack Budget Collection
- Casio Royale ($20)
- Timex Ironman Triathlon ($50)
- GShock 5600 ($50)
- Seiko SND367PC ($80)
- Orient Panda ($90)
- Swatch Dragon in the Wind ($90)
I just picked up the Swatch Year of the Dragon in the Waves for $63.00. Funky and enticing but on the small side.
Citizen is just so underrated, my $400 titanium citizen eco drive is better than my $2000+ swiss watches.
Ive got the green dial and its beautiful the setback sub dials with markings looks better than almost every other chronograph dial ive seen
Love my Citizens 🥰
All of you are proper citizens👏🏾👏🏾
Just bought this swatch boreal few days ago as my first automatic watch. I couldn't really decide between swatch and Seiko but then I found it for sale (second hand but with no sings of usage) for ~125$. I had some doubts if it was a good decision and if Seiko wouldn't be better but now I'm sure I've made right call! Cheers!
Slightly exceeding the budget here (purchased for $800 on Black Friday), but I'm genuinely intrigued by the SEIKO PROSPEX BLACK SERIES SPB255J1. I've owned it for a 2 weeks now and absolutely adore it. The quality far surpasses its price point, in my opinion. Although they specified an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day, from my observation over two weeks, I've noticed only around a 5-second difference.
Found my old Casio MTD-1010 (1346) in a box of "junk". Used to wear this thing every day 20ish years ago. Perfect budget watch. Needed a new battery and it still runs like a champ!
I'm planning on buying my first watch in the new year, as a belated congratulations to myself for making it into uni. I've been looking at the Timex Marlin Chronograph, prior to you showing it in this video (3:13), and I was pretty much convinced. But, having a "Nico somewhat seal of approval" has made me feel a lot more confident in my choice.
Also, tip for the soundproofing, you said you're in a noise isolating room, however, you appear to be sitting in front of a completely blank wall. If there's no soundproofing on that wall, all the sound will be reflected straight through it, and could even be amplified in some cases. I'd recommend looking into soundproofing it with the soundproofing solutions you see in "productive home office setup tours" (I don't know the exact name (They're are just thin strips of wood, with sound absorbing foam behind them (They come in panels))), as they would still look professional. You could even try to mount some modern looking shelves and put some watch cases on them.
Just a thought, hope you get better neighbors soon.
The only option is a second wall with an air gap between. So you get the same clean visual effect, just a few inches forward, but behind it, hidden, is a wall full of foam. And the back side of the wall behind you is then also foam. You lose maybe 8 inches to put in a second wall?
But really, your neighbors should not expect perfect silence in their cheap office.
Try an Aragon. Best value spec monsters.
I’m finishing in may after 3 long years good luck 🎉🎉🎉
The Marlin Chronograph is a beauty.
@@Executor009 My only complaint is that it would look much better without a date function. Watches simply don't need a date function any more as we all have cell phones and other devices to do it for us.
Yo how he handled that interaction with the annoyed neighbor shows how smooth of a business man he is.
Damn..
Hey Nico! What do you think of making a video about great watches to get or gift for christmas in different price ranges?
as a collector of inexpensive timepieces, i would personally recommend the citizen tsoyosa, ga2100 g shock, bulova hack, and the seiko srpd55
I bought a Baltany Retro Panda Chronograph which I absolutely love but I'm not sure if it's classed as a 'good watch' or not. I suppose it doesn't matter as long as I like it that's the main thing, just curious that's all.
Fking love the neighbour interaction haha Classic, stay you Nico. Legend.
I agree with you about sub $200 bracelets. I have a Seiko Recraft , I love the retro 70’s look , but Seikos lower end bracelets are garbage. Stuck it on a leather racing style black strap , and it is gorgeous. It’s not for everyone, but I dig it.
I love picking up older swatches from the 90's off of eBay for £10-20. Some good lookers in the Irony collection on a budget.
The Bulova Precisionist is on sale quite often under $200 and is a great watch for that price.
Definitely. Picked up one on sale on Amazon for about $150. I didn't love the style; Though, it's grown me. The movement is so wild. Putting it up to your ear, inside sounds like there's a nano-battlefield, from feudal times...in fast-foward. Relentlessly raging! Bulova put the movement in new models recently retailing around $1,000USD. 🫠
Love the video and i honestly hate all of the Bulova watches but i saw the Jet Star in red the other day shopping and it was a head turner. Id love to see you review it sometime.
Love this video. Done and Delivered in a way that only Nico can! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Much love from Singapore! 😃
As a part time watch lover and full time peasant I love my Casio GW-M5610 as it has multi band 6 which I think is mind blowing technology for a £100 watch
That “you’re bringing it back” was personal 😂😂😂
Nico getting a noise complaint from the neighbours, hilarious 😂
Nico the Gordon Ramsey of hourology. Guaranteed not to hold back, love it😊
The first, what i thought was high end watch back when i was poor was a citizen watch. I love that watch...I didnt know shit about watches when i bought it back in 2006 so it is tiny on my wrist. I paid $100 USD for it. That made my heart sink, knowing i needed that money for bills. I had to borrow money from my mum to make the electric bill the month i splurged on that Citizen. That was humiliating for me, really. I still wear it from time to time. I was so proud i had a "high end" watch that was 15mm too small for my wrist. It was with me during the hardest times of my life.... I have Tags, Tudors, a Bulova etc... no Rolex yet, So life is good....but i wouldn't sell my Citizen for 10k today.
The colour on the Timex Marlin Chronograph could be described as dark teal on the greener side. IRL it dances a bit between teal and forest green in the light! I did like the panda more anyhow though it's solid, I have mixed experiences with the cases of Timex. Loving the dials generally!
Thank you for this. Now we can also get a nice watch
Not sure did he mention, but Orient has bunch of cool watches for less than 200€. I'm not huge on watches or know about them, but I have Orient Ray 2 which is automatic watch and overall looks great and has functioned well and I paid like 170 for it at the time. They also have some more simple leather styles like Bambino.
bro we are the same
My poor man's watch collection:
Rotary Skeleton Automatic (Gold case, brown leather strap) £250
Seiko 5 Sports Automatic (Stainless case & bracelet) £195
CASIO Vintage W-218H (Black rubber case & strap) £25
Fossil Decker Chronograph (Stainless case & bracelet) £90. My first watch as an adult, which my gf (now wife) bought for me when were about 16 years old (now 32).
The fact that orient didn’t get a mention at all is outrageous. The kamasu is the best diver for under $200 and the bambino is insane for its price. Great dress watch that looks elegant
I love my tri star and I think at the time I picked it up on Amazon for 80, and my beater watch is a pro diver invicta which I know people hate but I get compliments by people wearing Rolex and omegas
Poor people don't buy Casio! They buy Rolex

Nico Thank you for doing this video. I only dream of owning a rolex in the meantime its good to know there are some good options out there.
Nico, you’re absolutely amazing and love how you always speak your mind.
I'm happy I got Timex Q reissue for £56/INR 5900 new in Jan this year, love that watch, wear it daily❤
Nicos general opinion on Bulova is known since the tier list, but I would honestly like to hear his opinion on the Lunar Pilot. As it is "the other Moonwatch" and highly praised by most watch UA-camrs, I would like to hear what Nico thinks about it.
I just bought a Lunar Pilot. It’s actually a pretty nice watch. I probably would try to get it on the secondary market and save a few bucks.
The Bulova Icon he was making fun of is one of the only high-beat quartz watches in the world. It has one of the coolest movements ever made. It has a smoother second hand sweep than a Rolex, and it's more accurate than a Casio, yet it costs a tiny fraction of the cost of a Grand Seiko Spring Drive. It's accurate to within a couple seconds *_per year._* Nico $h!ts all over it. How can an "expert" be this absolutely clueless.
That you Nico, I was waiting for this one.
Can you make a review of Pep Guardiola's watch collection? I am not a city fan but he definitely has an insane watch collection.
Never noticed this
Micro brands video please. Lots of interesting designs coming from various small brands. Zelos, Baltic, Vario, Mr Jones, etc etc
A full video on Citizen would be appreciated! There's a lot of innovation and history there which was new to me! Curious about it!
Should have mentioned all the mechanical watches with in house movements. Seagull, Vostok, Sea Guess, etc
congrats on the kid!
Thanks man

This comment made me crying of laughter 😂❤️
I recently got a watch from Accurist which I am very pleased with. £84 on offer, quartz movement, sapphire crystal, green waffle face and gold (colour not metal) hour markers, date display
Been watching for a long time (no pun intended), but I recently came accross a watch from my late grandpa that is a "Wakmann". I believe it's basically a Breitling (circa late 1960's), but imported and distributed by a US company. I can't seem to find much info at all online, so if anyone knows about them, I would truly appreciate it! Very sentimental piece.
As a peasant, im stoked for this

There is no reason that person who came into your office should have made it that far into your office with out being stopped, like they should have not been able to get past the front desk (If that was real)
Casio AE-1200 was my first watch as an adult getting into watches, then the Duro. I still rotate them in and wear them.
I just got my Casio Royale yesterday.
It's a very nice watch.
Love my GBX100 GShock - superb MIP display, glass, stainless bezel (wafer thin mind) and suprisingly supple strap and bluetooth with app so keeps the time accurate including 1 hour back n forward
I'm not poor... I'm just financially challenged. And slightly mentally challenged, but I don't think they're related. _THINK_ is keyword
Speaking of “poor” I’d love a in-depth look at these Addiesdive Submariner look a likes with Seiko NH35A movements. They look surprisingly well made for 120bucks
He's defo not going to recommend Chinese knock offs
Love these videos keep it up. What's your view on an Armani chronograph watch?
For under $200 the watch collection I would do would be
Dive Watch
Invicta 1953 ~$100
One of the least expensive automatic watches that isn't a chinese brand. A brand with history and a homage watch of a famous rolex. 9h35 movement and comes in different color bezel variants. All look nice.
Casual all around watch
Casio a700w ~$30-55
Same iconic look as the famous f91w but modernized with better lume, thinner, and stylish bracelet options. Super sleek and retro. Comes in different variants
Dress and formal event watch
Sea-Gull any ~$60-70
Most are out of the price range but there is usually some Sea-Gull dress watch on sale at any given time. Automatic and a recognizable brand from china.
LOVED this video!!
You should review the Bulova lunar pilot. I know you dont like bulova, but it is a very nice looking watch with rich history
I'm not poor, I'm just unfortunate.
This guy is my new fav watch UA-camr!!!! lolllllllllll
Love to see the GB200 get a mention - it's such an underrated G Shock and one of my personal favourites in my collection
My son just got his first watch at 14, a Tissot Seastar. Bit over the budget of £200 but it’s a pretty nice watch for that money. Keeps him away from my collection as well😂
Three watches are all you need:
1) Dress watch: 38mm Orient bambino
2) Smart casual: 38mm Seiko 5
3) Work & leisure: Casio F91w,
Orient is the most underrated watch brand. Lower tier original Seagulls qualify too. They're not cheap but affordable. Auto mov't can be a deal-breaker for some of us tho.
What about Invicta? I know people hate it but I think that some of their watches are actually pretty good, like the Pro Diver Automatic, or the Speedway, I bought both and the Pro Diver (reference 8927OBXL) was a really good pick, it has a Seiko NH35A movement which is pretty good considering I paid $90 for it. Please do a review at some point?
Well shit. I've had that Timex Chronograph on my wishlist for a while, hoping it'd go on sale. Now I'm just hoping it'll stay in stock lol
Got it for £134 last week. Go for it!
@user-es2fn1ki4v budget is tight, especially this time of year. I Can't justify spending nearly $200 on a slightlier fancy version of something I already have 2 cases full of lol. Especially when I have other hobbies that are even more expensive.
Nico, as a paralyzed legless athlete, I seriously appreciated that joke about the person competing in the paralympics for watch design. That was fucking hilarious. It looks like it went over everyone's heads too, I see no comments about it. Edit: You prob meant special olympics, but hey, I still laughed. I offer my disability up for a joke anytime.
"I offer my disability up for a joke anytime"
Good to see that in these days of the perpetually offended, some people can still laugh at themselves and value humour. 😁
@@gooble69 Yea, I'm that guy that would be in the HR office every day if I spoke my mind and joked freely. People need to laugh at themselves a bit more these days. Everyone's too soft.
I have Timex expedition which is 6 years old, Timex Q reissue one year old, HMT Chinar hand winding (Japanese movement) atleast 20 years old and HMT Sangam which is new one to my collection. They may not be expensive watches but every watch has its own purpose and suits for every outfit i wear.
Nico, I am a woman, and i buy myself and my husband watches because I love watches. In my current collection i have cartier (1st lux watch i bought myself), timex marlin, Seiko SWR054, Orient Bambino. Do you have a collection list for women?
I'd just like Nico to produce his own range of "poor people" watches😂
A great idea...
