Also called Choko in Australia. Grows well in the subtropical and wetter tropical regions of Australia and I remember it being often served up when other green veges weren't so available. We had the vines growing around our chicken pens as both shade and a food crop.

I really enjoyed the video, but the editing was a bit choppy and fast. That made it a little hard to watch but the content was excellent and I enjoyed seeing and hearing your roommates. Seems like you all eat pretty well!
As for exploring a new country,my guess is that you might be going to Indonesia perhaps Java or Bali or maybe even Sri Lanka. Let me know if I got it right. You have already been to Cambodia and I’m not sure that Laos or Myanmar would be safe. if you went to Japan, you would definitely have sticker shock. It’s one of the most expensive places I have ever traveled.

Having been to 40 countries in the last 30+ years, I think it's great for young people to travel across Asia. There are so many different places to explore and costs are low enough so you get really good value for the money. Other continents are interesting too, but maybe not as safe or inexpensive as Asia.

An AirBnb host here in Chicago invited me and 2 other guests to enjoy dinner which she prepared. It was kind of last minute and I wasn't sure I could eat much since I wasn't really hungry. I was sorry I'd said as much because the food she gave us was really amazing. It was satisfying and delicious. I think I could have eaten a lot more of it! I'm glad for your experiences and thank you for sharing them. I like your taste in postcards, too! 🙂

Su Su is chayote in English (and Spanish). It originated from southern Mexico and Central America. My parents are from Mexico but in the central north where they don’t eat it but I’ve seen when eating in southern Mexico. It’s probably more popular in Asia though which is funny to me
Not sure how it’s pronounced as I’ve only heard it pronounced in Spanish and I only see them in the US in Mexican or Asian grocery stores. The word comes from a Mexican indigenous language

Yeah. I am nerding out with this video. Lightning in a bottle. I love the exotic contrast and compare videos narrated by our friendly and informative host. Beautiful outdoor scenery, hands-on shopping in real markets with lots of new and also familiar goods explained with costs and plenty of polite opinions and compare/contrast with another far away country from me, genuine interaction with locals, lots of real food that people make and eat at home, seeing your friends, and being teased with fun future videos.
My favorite video right now and reminds me of your old videos I loved but with new characters and side quests. It's also nice seeing you a bit more relaxed and dare I say...happy?

looks so amazing! I really appreciate your idea to share a postcard with the regular commenters. Best of luck to everyone. It was nice to see a little comparison between the supermarkets and the fresh market. I understand why a lot of locals choose the fresh market and if you adapt your shopping style it seems like the best way to go, even if it isnt what we are used to.. Also, turning your visa run into a 10-14 day trip seems like an absolute win, getting two tasks done at once, a video, and visa renewal. it would let you see a lot of different places for just a bit more cost in time+money than hopping the border and back. Cant wait to see where you go.

Question for video: What are the various reasons why you chose Vietnam over the other Asian countries to live in? What are the things you wish they would do better in Vietnam?

    • @MissLizaYangonMyanmar
      @MissLizaYangonMyanmar Місяць тому

The visa is easiest for Vietnam. The motorcycles everywhere that you can't walk on the streets. And the karaoke at all hours. Vietnamese are lovely so its a great country to live in.

Susu is чайот in Russian, chayote in English. It is a squash. Pumpkin, zucchini, and chayote are types of squashes.
Very smart to ask what something is. People want to help. People love solving puzzles and mysteries. People learn faster by looking things up themselves and helping others. It drives up audience engagement in the video. Everyone wins.
I will look out for the next mystery item in a future video. Learning a word in three languages at once. Nice. Will you give a callback to the chayote answer in the next video for viewers and plant the next mystery? I can't wait to find out.

@@NikiProshin It is very smart to not be afraid to ask questions and show that you do not know something. You could have cut that part out of the video. You could have added in the answer later. I like that you inadvertently gave me a learning side quest. It makes it more fun. I do enjoy your videos. You do not have to add translation questions to videos if you don't want to. I don't know why I like to analyze why your videos are so fun to watch. 😆. TC Thanks for putting up with my silly comments.

Niki I’m so pleased you have found a country that suits you. You seem so happy with your life now. Looking forward to next vid to see where you go. I’m amazed at how cheap the food is, the meals that your friends cooked you looked yummy. Also all your flat mates look nice. New Zealand.

You are so lucky to have such good housemates and such good cooks too! I enjoy your trips to get groceries. It's very interesting to see what's different and what's the same in other countries/cultures. Duck eggs aren't something normally seen in the grocery stores where I live in the southern part of the US. My daughter collects postcards and it would be so cool to get one from Asia. One of my friends brought some postcards for her when he went home to Serbia for a visit. It made her day.

The milk keep freezer and pack in the box is pasteurized milk (sữa thanh trùng), it has short shelf life than (ultra-high-temparature) UHT milk(sữa tiệt trùng) (bag or box) not keep in freezer, you can search for the difference between two types. It has different taste, some people like pasteurized milk than others.
