I agree! I was about to pull myself away and resume work on a project---and saw that they just put up a video. So I said...nope--it will have to wait until after I watch their video.
I absolutely adore you two, please don't ever stop making the videos for us. I live alone and you are definitely on my top 10 list of coping mechanisms and strategies to help get through the lockdown and loneliness. Your voices are so soothing to hear, my cat also jumps on my knee and listens in when I watch your videos, so you have a calming effect on him as well. Sending lots of love to you both. xx
I forget how old I am biologically and just think this way each morning as I greet the day..."Today is the youngest I will ever be...and tomorrow, I will be one day wiser, thanks to what I learn and those I meet, and the discussions and thoughts I experience today." It makes me feel excited and hopeful for adventures awaiting in each day!
Kirsten, I'm so happy to hear you being so sensible about aging. My brother would have been 74 on the 8th of February. He died at 44. He was a young man in his prime when he died, gone 30 years this year. He never got to grow old. Those of us that do have the opportunity should be grateful and feel very, very blessed.
Joerg “...it looks very like a wallpaper “ I did have a little chuckle to myself when Joerg was describing your dress, just make sure he doesn’t paste you to the wall!
😊Weiter so!
I think there is a universal message here, not just for romantic relationships. Whoever you share your life with or spend time with, be kind every day. Show consideration for feelings. Compromise. Get excited about the little things. I really think that is why Kristen and Joerg have such a great marriage. Because they practice these principles daily with each other.
I never thought much about age until I turned 60. For some reason that was the year that freaked me out the most. This year I will be 70. I noted your little garden behind Joerg in this video. I would be interested to see a tour. I don’t recall you ever showing it before. Loved the green and white checked drapes.
"I can't read this, can you?" "No, I can't either" - sounds like our house 🤣🤣 I'm checking out the biscuit company right now, and Jörg's stew looks delicious. We are the same with Valentine's Day - it's more important to say I Love You every day. 💗 And we love and appreciate both of you! 💕😊
March 2023!! Just discovered this and it is wonderful. Kirsten, your dress is absolute perfection on you! It is so British, so soft with that vintage touch. Have to save our pennies for the men's pajamas..good ones are so hard to find here in the States. Can not wait to make the soup...later this week. Thank you so much for this. Lawrie and John in Philadelphia
I really love soups. I grow up eating soup that my Portuguese grandmother used to do. And now, when I am almost reaching 50 years of life, I also cook vegetables soups mainly during winter season (June and July) in south hemisphere. I will try your recipe, Joerg! You are a chef! 👨🍳👏👏👏👏👏❤️ love you both!
I agree with Joerg, PJ's are for bed. I too love William Morris wallpaper and think your beautiful new dress looks very much like his style. If I have to buy wine I normally choose by the label as well :| I make a lot of soups, and look forward to trying Joerg's. I highly recommend a Le Cruset cast iron dutch oven pot, they are a little more expensive than others but will last a lifetime and they are WONDERFUL to cook in. They go from stove top to oven and you can cook anything in them, even bread. Joerg's soup looked delicious and very healthy. Thanks for sharing!
Loving each other and valuing each other every moment is what matters....valentines day everyday. I thank the Lord for my wonderful husband. Thankyou again for sharing. Be blessed.
One of my favourite things to cook is soup. I find peace in chopping the vegetables. Soup is a pot of love - I like layering the ingredients and flavours into something warm and hearty that hits my soul.
Kirsten and Joerg, you inspire me so much with your peace and happiness. The love and respect you show each other is beautiful. Thank you. Sending my gratitude from San José, Costa Rica.
The soup looks absolutely delicious. Joerg is so precise in his vegetable chopping. You two are so pleasing and loving, your home is cozy and your food delicious. I do so enjoy your videos.
What a great selection of different things you chose ,liked the PJs ..Thoses biscuits are beautiful..too good to eat lol. 50 not old..you look really quite young still Kirsten, with lovely flawless skin. The dress was well very pretty . Then there was joerg great feast. Thanks Kirsten n joerg for great content your videos show.
OOO, Kirsten I love your top. It looks very William Morris-y! (I said this before you said the same thing!) LOVE your PJs. I love flannel in winter. Often with a flannel pants and knit top that is stretchy. We also watched The Dig the other night. I studied Sutton Hoo in art school. Not in depth, but at least when someone would mention Sutton Hoo I'd know what it was. I am diabetic and to tell you the truth, I enjoy watching you enjoy sweets so much, lol. Please keep making videos for they are LIFE to me. Love you.
I do love luxurious comfortable pajamas. As a history buff and a wanna be archeologist I knew all about the Sutton Hoo ship burial. I did watch the Dig and it was wonderful. I would love to see the artifacts in the museum and also visit the site. As I live in the US on a fixed income it will remain a dream.
The soup looked hearty, and warming, I'm in Yorkshire and we've had snow on and off now since just after Christmas 🥶 I made a warming chilli today and mixed the leftovers with rice and beans and made burritos, get me! When I was a kid I wouldn't have known what a burrito was if it introduced itself to me 😂 keep warm and stay safe👍
The soup looks delicious, so healthy with all the vegetables. Warm and cozy on a wintery day. Thank you for the recipe! Joerge is so funny, especially when he teases Kirsten. Some people show a toothy, flashy smile but have cold eyes. Joerge is the opposite, his smile shows in his eyes first. Comes from his heart. And he loves to make his wife laugh!
I love Ralph Fiennes and I loved The Dig. I like a good vegetable soup. My husband has cut my hair twice since last March and did a very good job, but like Sally Field's in Steel Magnolias, it is just a now gray football helmet. "Little moments," very sweet.
Absolutely loved this episode! Your dress is sooo pretty, especially the detail on the sleeves. Just wanted to say my cats absolutely adore your voices, as soon as I play one of your videos both of my cats settle down with big grins on their faces and blissful expressions. I actually think they now recognise you both!!! By the way I’ve gotten into pure beeswax candles recently and they are just beautiful compared to paraffin. They give off a golden glow like sunlight and purify the air. I’d def recommend giving them a try 💖 🐝 Thank you for your calming & comforting content, with love from myself and the cats ☺️
Loved your Pajama modeling! Kirsten your dress is so pretty. Joerg your soup looked so delicious! My husband and I watched The Dig , we enjoyed it very much. As always a pleasure tuning into your channel...😊
Joerg's soup looks fantastic and I can almost smell it! I make and freeze soup throughout the fall and winter months using my trusty slow cooker. I must try Joerg's recipe with beef!
You are adorable, I live watching you. I love your Rose PJ’s and yes, I agree with you, they are not just for bed. Your soup looks so good, I am going to try it. My Mother makes really good Vegetable Beef soup, but she adds V8 juice to it, delicious.
Guys thank you both so much for saying such lovely things about our pyjamas! We’ve not used UA-cam much and it was a customer who let us know about your video. Thank you! X Deb
Kirsten-As you know, I am your new dear fan and friend from America. Again, I am watching all of your videos. You and Joerg made me laugh trying to read the small print. I will be 51 in July, and I must say, the fading of my eye sight is just the worst. Great video!
You two are so fun to watch, I can't figure out what I like so much but you are both just delightful. I love how you both talk, love your accents, love when Joerg says 'yeah', 'yes'....so endearing. It would be funny if you all of a sudden got in some huge arguement, but I can tell you two don't do that haha. Thanks for making such peaceful, lovely videos. Love the cooking portions. :). that soup looks great I'm going to try it
Hello Kirsten and Joerg, thank you for the nice video! I liked all of your favourites! The dress is stunning! We also watched the Dig and we loved it. It must be amazing to go there and see the beautiful scenery there. Definitely going to try the soup, such beautiful colours and a good Chef!! :-) thanks again for putting a smile on my face! And Valentine's: just take care of each other, have fun and be grateful for someone special to share your life with, every day of the year.
I totally understand why you think about Valentine's Day the way you do. With all your little rituals like setting up the table nicely and sitting down together for a cup of tea and a slice of cake it's almost like you are celebrating love and being there for eachother (and Valentine's Day) every time you do things like this. You two give me hope! I adore the way you love and respect eachother! Thank you for another wonderful video!
Oh jeorg..you made me have a lump in my throat when you said, I tell you every day, that I love you...what a lovely couple,e you are, godbless you both,my dears.xx
I enjoyed The Dig also. And loved the house too. It was interesting to watch the history of Sutton Hoo, as this was the first exhibit I saw in the British Museum last time I was in London.
I really liked “The Dig” too! It led me to rereading Beowulf and was impressed with all the references to treasure and gold and jewel studded swords. And that made me think how we have our treasures too, our lovely tea cups and tea pots and William Morris wallpapers, and in my case a William Morris face mask! And I learned that William Morris did a translation of Beowulf! All these connections and interleavings-so intriguing!
Danke für die tolle Filmempfehlung. Hatte ich heute endlich mal was Neues zum gucken 😊 und der Eintopf wird am Sonntag nachgekocht, ich bin gespannt. 😀
Thats a great discription.I like it.I know my friends and I when making a meal will say"Proper food"or espically in the winter"Knock out food",calms the savage beast within.
@@helenbailey8419 - I think she called it that because no fat, no sugar - just fresh veg, meat & stock. Another of those was one of my dad’s favourites was a thick slice of boiled bacon, boiled potatoes, pease pudding, carrots and cabbage with a little of the bacon stock water slightly thickened with a spoonful of the pease pudding - delicious 😋
Such an enjoyable video. Your dress is so beautiful Kirsten. And Joerg is right, you look perfect. I watched “The Dig” A really good film. I would recommend it too. Now I’m going to look through your links, thanks so much for sharing.
Whenever I am home, which is a lot, as I have worked from home for years, I wear my nightgown and a big warm robe as much as I can, it's a bad habit maybe?, LOL.
I loved The Dig ,your dress is lovely The soup looks delicious I love cabbage in soup. I saved this video to recipes to remember how to layer Thank you
I love wearing my pj’s all day too. Well, when I’m at home resting. I can’t seem to wear regular clothes at home. I just can’t. :D In the States, we also say use clothes to lounge around. It seems the lounging clothes has increased in popularity since the confinement first began. Lol. I have to try the German soup. I prepared German food for our Friday dinner for the very first time. My two boys loved it.
I saw the film, "The Dig" and absolutely adored it. I am hoping to make a trip to London this autumn to see the Sutton Hoo artifacts. Cross my fingers.
Joerg you have inspired me to make the soup tonight for dinner. That looked absolutely wonderful, weren't Grandma's wonderful ??? Thank you so much for sharing.
I love Argentina Malbec . Its delicious . It is a lovelly pattern on your dress. Lol binge watching your great videos ,and your love for each other shines through . Keep up the good work
Hello from the US. You all are an isle of calm in this chaotic world today. I appreciate how calm and kind you are. I learn so much about England and Germany. Information that is not in a history book. I have a list of the ingredients for Joerg’s soup and will be making it soon. Take care you two and keep safe. Oh, yes. Thank you for recommending Peaky Blinders recently. I enjoy watching it. It is so intense I have to watch it a bit at a time.
My Irish grandma taught me if the soup seems too salty, put a piece of toast or a peeled potato in and put on lid to pot and let it simmer, then in about 15 minutes...remove bread or potato...salt has been soaked up. works for real!
Thank you both for all you share! You are so special and such loving humans...and a wonderful example of how a marriage should be! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (Neither of you look your age which I attribute to the way you live your lives!)
I was watching jeorg make the soup and realised i did exactly the same thing today but with chicken which was good so now i shall try your recipe but with beef. I love home made soups you can just about throw anything in them and there far nicer than tinned or packet.the pyjamas are lovley very pretty.take care.
I believe I can smell the sumptuous aroma of Joerg's stew all the way across the Pond! Thank you for sharing your recipe~ IT's always a Treat to spend time with you both! Your videos add a Brilliant Bright Spot to my days...May you both keep Safe and Keep Hope filled! Much love and peace...Linneah
I started watching The Dig late last week, but couldn’t stay awake. It’s in my queue to continue watching. Soup looks wonderful. I have beef in freezer. The peacock biscuits were amazing. Thank you.

It seems the lounging clothes has increased in popularity since the confinement first began. Lol. I have to try the German soup. I prepared German food for our Friday dinner for the very first time. My two boys loved it.
Just watched your channel for the first time absolutely love it thank you
I saw the film, "The Dig" and absolutely adored it.

Soups are wonderful when it is cold. I am going to try this soup! Stay warm and thank you for another enjoyable session. ☺️🌲
Just watched "The Dig" on Netflix a few days ago here in New Zealand. Inspired us to look into the real life situation surrounding it.
That's a great tip!
Yes, I’ve done that and it does work.
Thank you both for all you share! You are so special and such loving humans...and a wonderful example of how a marriage should be! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (Neither of you look your age which I attribute to the way you live your lives!)
We..my husband and I, watched "The Dig" and enjoyed it very much. So old! We're in the USA. We're young compared to Great Britain!!!
Kirsten and Joerg, I just prepared Joerg's soup recipe and it is delicious. This will be a favorite go to recipe...thank you!
I was watching jeorg make the soup and realised i did exactly the same thing today but with chicken which was good so now i shall try your recipe but with beef. I love home made soups you can just about throw anything in them and there far nicer than tinned or packet.the pyjamas are lovley very pretty.take care.
Oh yes, you can't compare it to ready made soups, we try to avoid that as you just don't know what's in there.
Kirsten Happy Birthday 🎂 You always Look so Beautiful enjoy your Birthday week!
I started watching The Dig late last week, but couldn’t stay awake. It’s in my queue to continue watching. Soup looks wonderful. I have beef in freezer. The peacock biscuits were amazing. Thank you.
Beautiful dress, great colours, and nothing like wall paper...
Lol no, we are huge William Morris fans and if you look at this prints, it's very William Morris like.
