I used to take it as a kid, from when I was 9-16 and it fully cured me. Haven’t had any episodes in 10 years

@@GilSolanoREEGT yes. I’ve been going through Psychogenic Dyskinesia since I was about 10 years old. There was no real way to identify what it was at the time until recently. What I go through is uncomfortable ticks in my body that don’t last very long but leaves me with anxiety and stress which can be the key triggers for the dyskinesia. The twitches are very uncomfortable and it wasn’t until I saw a neurologist and was diagnosed and prescribed this medication. I’m not too sure about taking it because I do recreationally smoke cannabis almost every day to help me deal with the anxiety. I called the pharmacist about what I do and they told me they wouldn’t recommend to continue taking cannabis if I’m going to take Carbamazepine. So I haven’t taken it yet. I know it can help treat the dyskinesia, but I wouldn’t want to become dependent on it, Or even have to take it every single day. I’ve gotten use to the twitches and I’m aware of the feeling and the cause of it. I’m stuck at the moment. But thank you for hearing me out. This journey has been insane.
Same here! I began taking this as well for the same movement disorder. I’m on Day 2 and my episodes have drastically decreased from roughly 7-10 a day to 1 -2. I’ve been dealing with this disorder since I was 12. I’m 31 now and cannot believe I’ve waited so long to speak up about it.
Forgot a big side effect of short term memory issues.

What about interaction with other drugs?
I used to take them in tow different doses but night and day for along time they took me of them as never work alot of trouble I had carry on you will find out if you may get it or not😮
Can crbamazapine help scalp dythesia-burn, itch, crawling sensation.

My doctor just prescribed it to me for bP disorder but I’m not manic and It used for manic bipolar 😳

Ive had the same experience on that dosage, lower apatite.
Taking carbamazepine makes you forget to eat, so your not going to put weight on.
Does it ever go away?
