    I knocked out a Panzer IV in Karkov with the Soviet anti-tank rifle today. It was the first time I used it. It took about 10 shots to the rear. (I lost count) I was only 75m away.

      The AT Rifle is nimble, it just takes too many shots to kill a full health tank, and front and side shots (minus the tracks, do nothing) I think I still have a reel of me killing a Panzer 4 from start to finish basically and it took around 15-20 shots (I think I hit it a couple times before I got the video)

    A personal strategy of mine as satchel AT is garry/tank hunting where I spawn on a Garry/OP far from the point and flank around solo looking for Garrys, placing AT mines and satchel any tank I hear and it’s way easier to get up on them as they are not expecting some asshole AT running 10min for a flank

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому +2

      As a recon main, I feel this, and usually enemy infantry aren’t always looking behind them. Sneaking up on tanks after a couple minutes of running is sometimes so worth it

      This is my favourite AT strategy too. I always place AT mines on all the main exit routes from the enemy HQs then look for tanks/nodes/garris. Yesterday I had like 900 combat effectiveness doing 10-15 minute solo flanks all game replacing exploded mines and so on. Destroyed like 20 vehicles and a bunch of other stuff. I was blown away by how effective this strategy is.

    As much as I'm aware you shouldn't waste rockets on infantry.. last night I fired in to a building where there was a handful of guys hunkered down, one of my team went up to make sure it was clear and he said "there at least 6 dudes worth of meat chunks in here!"
    Sometimes it is definitely worth using rockets on infantry! 😂

      Oh yeah, one greatly aimed rocket on a “soft target” can make a difference in numerous scenarios 😂

      Never a waste if you get the kills. Many a lives I saved rockets and don’t see a tank for half the game.
      It’s a good fire support weapon and can also be used to draw enemy fire away from an attack. As everyone sees the shot and will unload on your position.

    Panthers and Tigers can go down in two shots, in the back between the tail pipes exactly in the middle.

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому

      I’d might need to look into that…because I haven’t heard of that. If nothing else two rocket shots to the back will destroy the engine of all of the heavies most of the time. You have me curious now lol

    Step 1: build an AT cannon in defenseive open area
    Step 2: play AT however else you want. Nothing wrong with throwing an AT cannon down that someone else can use

    once that AT gun is aimed properly if i am by myself i dont even go into ads with it for following shots. i just swap to reload, swap back into the shooter seat and hit shoot and unless the target has moved it'll clap them again

    I know the bazooka loudout is "better" but I use the satchel loudout most of the time. I just like it more

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому +2

      There’s trade-offs to both, both have their uses and good in their own way, I’d argue the satchel is overall better though, more useful at the cost of range.

    The at rifle is superior for recon and light tanks, because you can fire it from ages away and t its hard to spot you

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому

      It’s great for stealth, I’ll give it that, but besides destroying tracks, it’s only really decent against recon tanks and trucks. The AT rifle can’t pierce light tank frontal armor, last I check as as well, it can’t pierce side armor as well for light tanks and beyond. i don’t know about the British AT rifle (as I don’t have it unlocked and this video pre-dates that.) but the Russian one can’t do that. I think that’s my main problem with it. Takes too many shots to destroy a tank and you have to be behind most tanks and that can be hard at times. That’s my take on it

    Pff, this is the easiest class to level up. Build nodes at the beginning for triple xp. Go anti-tank and break away from the squad behind lines to blow up any vehicle you find. Only use the AT gun on Russian maps or foy. Set it up far away, hidden in a bush, on a hill, etc. face main roadways. Once you get the satchel and mines, go behind lines and lay your mines on main roadways. Hangout and wait to intercept tanks leaving the spawn with the satchel.

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому

      Just a couple thoughts to this (simply my counterpoints)
      - with the nodes and xp: I’ll give you that it gives you a lot more xp, but not triple the xp, as far as I know it gives you 30 points (assuming you have all three up) per minute of being up to your building score. But yes this adds a bunch more xp compared to not having them up.
      -breaking away from the squad is hit or miss in it’s own right, depends on scenario, it might be better to have a support player to give you more ammo with you to get more out of one life then dying/redeploying to get more ammo and run a lot again (this is simply one scenario, there are others we could use but for the sake of time, I’ll move on)
      - AT guns I’d argue can be used on most maps as most maps have some good long range sight lines, long roads to shoot down or a high ground of some sort. Also they are all around the best weapon for dealing with tanks you can’t necessarily get behind for whatever reason. And they are great for ambushes.
      - for satchels and mines: I mentioned basically what you said in the video regarding the mines. With your thing about hanging out by the enemy HQ spawns, I’d argue that it doesn’t apply to a majority of situations you’ll find in game. You get one satchel (unless you have a explosive ammo box handy) and with a constantly changing front lines, this can be hard to get back there and destroy tanks assuming you catch them at the right time. And satchels can be used for more than killing vehicles, they are great building destroyers and great for killing unsuspecting enemy infantry (see example in the video).
      Again these are just my thoughts and counterpoints with what you have mentioned. I mean no disrespect.

      @@ChaoticHammer_ get a jeep from spawn. Two ammo crates. At guns are finicky and it’s hard to get a reliable partner, so I typically try to set them up assuming I’ll be shooting and loading.

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому

      @@Dabocado you’ll need an officer to call one in, if they are actually talking. Even with jeeps though, you’ll need to get back to those ammo drops, and depending on the game mode and the how the enemy is…this might not be possible, but the jeep idea wouldn’t be an overall bad one and I think has some potential.
      -AT guns are finicky, I won’t deny that, and their mobility as a whole is a big flaw, and with out a 2nd, it’s potential is cut in half.

  • @ΒασίληςΒλάχος-τ3κ

    To be fair the PTRS was pretty useless in real life as well l, especially in the late war, where it was used mostly in an anti-matiriel role

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому +1

      Exactly lol. The concept of an AT rifle dated back to WWI when the Germans tried the concept against the British tanks…to not a lot of success…yeah if you’re playing the Russian maps in this game, use the AT cannon or satchels, (and if you are lvl 8 AT, then you have rockets as well) you have more of a chance to do anything than the PTRS

    do landmines stay posted even after you change classes?

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  Рік тому

      Yes they stay posted even if you change class. only three ways they are removed:
      - someone runs them over/trips them
      -explosives blowing them up
      - placing more than your limit allows (ex: as AT you can place up to 4 AT mines, which is the limit you can place overall. once you respond, you get more landmines but if you place them, it removes the previous ones as you place the new mines down)

    Bro disrespected the russian AT rifle ... instant zero respect for the rest of the guide. :D
    People who know how to use the PTRS know its the strongest AT weapon in the game besides the AT gun.
    Since its got no damage drop off you can easily disable tanks from 200m without them ever finding you. And you've got a destructive capacity compared to 6 rockets without having to redeploy.
    Even the tiger only needs 6 bullets to destroy the engine. Guess what ... you have 5 bullets in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. You wait for the tank to stop and empty your magazine into his engine ... with the tank disabled its now only a matter of reloading and cleaning up. If the crew jumps out you rip them apart with the AT gun as well.
    Oh and you can blow up supplys and repair stations with 1 shot.
    PTRS is the best mobile AT platform :)
