For those of you who may have missed it, and those who'd like to relive it, here's our cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity".

Got a chance to open and for these guys live, when I was just 15. I Shared Chad's drum set on his recommendation... they were a class act then, and still are now. Love it guys! Thanks for this and all the music you given us through the years!

Great job! I was singing this song the other day & it sparked my 5 yr. old’s interest, so he’s gonna love this! Every time he sees a Switchfoot video he asks, “Where’s Tim?? Is Tim in this one? I think Tim is singing in this one...” and there was a recent time period he was performing pretend concerts “with Tim“ on the outside steps for the neighborhood to hear. 😅

Have to add my two cents regarding the Concerts By Subscription model....WE LOVE IT! Best seat in the house in our home theater, no traffic, no parking fees, no lines... are all very nice, but, the QUALITY of these shows is the real PAYOFF! We were skeptical that a video cast could hold water to a live, in person show, but they deliver a WATERFALL of music and performance that is MORE THAN WORTH IT! I want to echo others (add reverb here) KEEP THIS GOING! I've never felt more connected to my favorite band (Maybe if Beatles start doing this too, I will have to reassess, maybe) than through this pandemic and how they have created, what I think, is a new business/fan/community model for bands to emulate.

My friends!!. Love how you can hear( if you're listening) the dampening pedals on the piano!. I've worked with and around the brothers for almost 20 years in the festival world. Always kind and consistent. Always preaching the Gospel through music!!.

@@hot4mikaela I've listened to them since I was 14 and I'm now in my thirties. I didn't even know that they were a faith-based band until I got saved back in 2011 and then it all came together, their song restless Got me thru so much. I love this band and I totally plan on having their music play when I propose to my girlfriend next year. If you ever see this please tell them I said thank you for every ounce of joy they have shared with me. And God bless.
@@redhottopics3454 well, I don't get to see them very often, but the next time I do speak with them, I will tell them exactly what you want me to tell them. Funny thing is their dad is the head pastor of a calvary chapel, so they grew up as pk's pastors kids, Jesus is very much at the heart of every single band member. They truly are amazing musicians and just awesome human beings in general. I am so blessed that I have the amazing family that I do. But we all love the Lord so much, our grandparents were crucial in our strong faith. . Thank you for being so kind and I feel the same about their music as well. Have a blessed night and week and congrats with your soon tobe wife! I will keep you in my prayers.
@@hot4mikaela I truly appreciate your response!!! Their love for Jesus truly shows in their music. I can't explain enough how much I look up to them. My girlfriend is atheist and I have been playing their music for her for a few months now and I'm telling you God is speaking to her heart. I showed her a bunch of interviews where John and time were talking about their faith and their walk and what Jesus means to them in their lives and music. She specifically said" if I were a Christian I would be like him (john), I really like his outlook on it" that is the closest I've EVER heard her come to acknowledging a possibility of walking by faith. I believe she will open her heart to Jesus one day and the music of switchfoot will be a strong tool in the process. I'm steady praying for her and I know God is tapping at her heart.

Completely epic performance and song! I also want to commend you guys on pulling off "concert as a service". Amazing new content, reasonable price. From the first livestream concert to the last it has improved a ton - really love the set and the audio has been recording quality (Tanner is a genius). p.s. another must-do cover is a Bob Dylan song :)

This isn't their music, but Jackie is right - they're blessed in incredible ways. 20+ years together as the same, original five that started Switchfoot. I'm sure they've had squabbles and disagreements, but they're truly brothers. It warms my heart.

CkASDF Well, they may have not written the original composition, but this is still their sound. But I get it.
@@SoyFrankHerrera understood. While this arrangement/composition is theirs, I think creating an arrangement for an existing song is not quite as involved as creating a whole new song, so "coming up with" didn't seem to fit this song. I certainly enjoyed it though, and am a little saddened at the thumbs down it's gotten.
All that said, Jon is an extremely talented writer (as are any of the others who've contributed).
