      99.9999% have no personal connection with Brady whatsoever. I think it's more Mahomes jock sniffers that are saying Mahomes had the greater career. Not yet. Probably in the future, but not yet. 7 SB wins is more than 3 from when I last checked. That has nothing to do with me liking Brady. It's just the facts. Mahomes will win more than 2 more super bowls. When he wins 2 more, I think it needs to be discussed. But for now...nope. Let time takes it's course. Brady and Mahomes both had 3 super bowls at the same age. Brady isn't the slouch some people think he is. He won a super bowl with another team other than the Pats. Mahomes hasn't yet.

He's 28 and his career playoff stat line is basically equivalent to an MVP caliber regular season. If Brady was withheld from GOAT convos because of a defensive HC, then how is Reid ignored for Mahomes, when in reality Mahomes gets to keep the same offense his entire career, one that’s better than 30 other teams, and could literally get replaced by a bum.
      His responsibilities include pointing out twitchy LBs, scrambling through a wide open gap (the OL makes on purpose, under credited OL) or throwing it to any one of his receivers averaging 3 yards of separation. That’s literally a yard over the NFL average, that gets swept under the rug because they catch like bats

    One thing that isn’t mentioned enough in the Mahomes vs. Brady argument is just how much better the AFC is now then it was when Brady was in his prime. The only QBs Brady had to worry about preventing him from getting to a Super Bowl were Manning, Roethlisberger and once Flacco. Mahomes is going up against Allen, Burrow, Jackson, Herbert, Tagovailoa, Stroud, Lawrence and Rodgers now too (if he is healthy). In the just the playoffs in the AFC it was always Rivers, Ben, Brady, Peyton. NFC you had Farve, Warner, Rogers, Brees, Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Eli. Guys who made SB’s, won SB’s, won MVP’s. Mahomes is the best QB in an era that’s pass friendly and not loaded with elite QB talent outside of 3-4 guys including him. What we saw in the late 90’s thru the mid 2010’s in terms of QB play was legendary. To be a first overall pick the team sucks. If you're a late pick who is a good qb it means your team doesn't suck and you have a skilled gm at putting togethor good teams. It takes skill to pick a talented qb late in the first round. Even your average Joe can draft a good qb with the first round pick.

    • @JonSmith-hk1bq
      @JonSmith-hk1bq 5 місяців тому

      Out of curiosity, I did a quick count.
      27 QBs have been taken with the first pick of the draft.
      7 of them won Super Bowls. 6 of those 7 won at least two Super Bowls. Note: There are only 13 QBs in history who have won two Super Bowls.
      16 Super Bowls titles between them accounting for 27.5% of all Super Bowl wins.
      As to the theory that late-round QBs are more likely to win the SB:
      7 QBs taken after the 3rd round (or in the case of Kurt Warner, went undrafted) have won a Super Bowl. 3 of them won multiple Super Bowls.
      14 Super Bowl titles between them account for 24.1% of Super bowls. Brady accounts for half those wins.

    As a Tom Brady fan, yes. Mahomes has the consistency, brain of Brady and the freakish talents of… Mahomes.

    Why do I feel like the picture of Barry in the obama meme, is just Steph with glasses? 11:20

    Watching Mahomes and KC these last few years is a bit like watching Max Verstappen right now for Red Bull or Lewis Hamilton during the Mercedes days. You think you can them down but they have a secret extra gear to pull ahead at the end.

    3 super bowls in 6 years is insane enough, I can understand the GOAT dispute, and I might even agree. Once Mahomes gets his 4th, and MAYBE his 5th, in however many years (probably within another 4-5 years) I think he will be without a single doubt in anyone’s mind, the GOAT.

      He just isn’t talented enough for me, he just forced passes and has barely contributed to either Super Bowl and he can’t lift his team like Brady did
