I don't have much in common with you religiously or politically, but I think you are such a badass haha. I love how organized and productive you are. I have a similar personality but I'm a bit younger (early 20s), so it's nice to hear your wisdom from someone in the next phase of life.

My “kids” are now 42 and 46, but this video really resonated with me. We are very fortunate that both our sons live nearby and, to this day, they both love the traditions that we established when they were children. June is my stressful month with so many birthdays in our extended family along with Father’s Day and graduations. I like to find a way to make each of these people feel special. Decades from now, your children probably won’t remember a toy they received, but they do remember those times spent celebrating together. Just this week, my youngest son took the lead on developing a plan for his dad’s birthday. I love it. I want to make up a batch of cupcakes too! It never even occurred to me to freeze cupcakes. So much more practical than freezing an entire cake! Thanks for this video.

My son turns 1 in two weeks. I made a calendar that puts pics from that month the previous year and runs 12 months starting June (month he was born). It has everyone's birthdays and any recurring family events we have. We plan to do this every year and keep them like a photo album to give him when he's older. He was born Father's Day weekend last year so both Grandpas get one too.

What a wonderful idea!!! I only have 2 kids but our birthday expenses for our older child are usually like $600 which is crazy. Our 2nd child is 10 months old so we didn't do a party yet. I love your birthday budget though. I might do this with my son this year.

Well unfortunately they were from Dollar Tree like 15 years ago. 😅 I’d just search cupcake carrier.

I appreciate how organized you are. All 3 of my children were born in my 40's and I learned a lot from other younger mothers of children the same ages mine were. I often worked in the church's nursery and learned how to keep the kids focused on projects and getting along with others.
