Coiled - Resingrave engraving process from start to finish

Here's a look at the process of creating a relief engraving. You may be more familiar with the term wood engraving, however my block is not wood, rather a resin surface made to mimic end-grain woodblocks. Resingrave is no longer in production, so once I have used up my last block, I will be on the lookout for boxwood or maple.
I find engraving to be very time consuming, especially because it requires a lot of hyper-focusing on minute details. Bit by bit, the image emerges from the block, and the end result is worth the effort!

Thanks! It’s a kind of relief print, but instead of scooping out the lines as you would with linocut or woodcut, they are scraped into the surface.
