Hi, why don't you use "Butterfly" or just flaps to land her in a controlled way, just as been seen in various F5J videos? That glider has a rather flat angle of approach. . I have programmed "Butterfly" on my flight mode switch as "landing" and mixed it with the throttle stick setting ... with throttle off (switch!), "Butterfly" opens proportionally starting at 50% throttle stick down to 0% throttle. So I can control the descent with variable "Butterfly" increments. This can be done also with flaps only.
Friedrich Mandel good idea. This was some of my first flights. Later I eventually entered into an F5J competition and then I was MUCH better at landing. I was then using butterfly landing but the upward motion of the airelons was so little that you couldn’t really see that it was butterfly mode.
