OH MY GOSH I JUST FINISHED "AS GOOD AS DEAD" (THE ENDING BROKE ME) [Spoilers for the trilogy below} RAVI TEXTING HER THREE MINUTES AFTER THE CASE WAS SO CUTE-AHJSA
I hate the use of past tense as evidence. If someone in my life goes missing, I'm screwed. One example is that my paternal grandparents are alive and well. I just dont live with them anymore. So when im talking about them to coworkers, I use the past tense. "My grandpa was such a storyteller. He told me about his time as a volunteer firefighter." Or "my grandma was such a good cook. She always made the best of everything." Sometimes I realize i used the past tense and clarify to whoever im talking to that they're still alive lol. Ive asked my friends and family to go to bat for me if thats ever used against me because that's just how my brain works. So (having read the whole series and hating what im about to say), Pip had no reason to suspect Jason just based on past tense. She has other reasons, but past tense isn't one. Like imagine you're innocent and your kid is missing. Maybe they havent been in the house for a few days or more. That is a past tense situation. She used to be such a lively member of the house and we hope she will be again. I used to listen to my grandpa's stories, but i dont as often anymore since we live far away. Anyway, just needed to rant bc every time that gets brought up, I think about how im screwed if anyone in my life goes missing😅
I'm so glad you posted this video! I read the 1st book in 2023 (and already forgot like, the name of the side character and stuff 😂) I just got the other two volumes, and really wanted to get the important things refreshed in my mind to read them ❤
you have no idea how badly i needed this!! i read the first two books like 3 years ago and i wanted to read the third one so badly but just couldn't remember anything from the other two for the life me haha!! now i can finally go read the third one and not be clueless the entire time!
omg i had to make a mini vlog out of this book for school, but i was running out of time because of my exams, your video really helped me out, and i might wanna start to read this serie :)
Can someone please explain to me HOW Pip figured out that Max roofied and R-worded Becca? Because I feel like that part was just glossed over in the book, which is what brought me here. Thank you for the well-presented explanation, btw :))
I think it was deductive reasoning. She knew people were getting roofied at the parties and she heard from Jess that Becca had disappeared and 'slept' with someone but did not want to talk about it or claimed to not remember it. That in itself probably made her wonder if Becca had been r worded but at the time it wasn't specifically relevant so the idea was never fully formed or stated. And well Max was the main, if not only one buying the roofies so he would be the first to come to mind in that aspect. So after realizing that Elliot didn't kill her dog and wasn't the one leaving the threats with derogatory language and seeing Becca's face at the back of the car when the Bell family was called to ID the fake Andie, remembering that Becca was the last to see Andie alive it all just sort of clicked. Becca knew Andie was dead and was the last person with her . . . so it stands that maybe she killed her since nothing else made sense. Why would Becca kill Andie? Jess' story of Becca's strange behaviour after the party is suddenly relevant. Becca could have been r-worded at a party and somehow found out that Andie was selling roofies. So I think it was coming to the conclusion that Becca may have killed her sister THEN putting together different info she had on her to come to a plausible motive. So like figuring out Max did that only came from figuring Becca actually was the 'killer'. Deductive reasoning and solving things in reverse. At least that's how it makes sense to me but it's been several months since i last read the book.
Thank you so much for this video! I had finished the book but I needed to write a lot of stuff down for a school project and forgot everything so this was very useful!!
I loved this book and have some questions. What was the third victory Andie had over Nat da Silva as referenced in the planner? Does that come into play later? I didn’t watch the whole video, so sorry if you addressed it. Also, near the very end, Pip says there was one secret she would keep forever to protect Cara. What was that? And has no one ever heard of putting passcodes on phones in this book?
1) i think the third victory was nats brother having 53x with andie who was a minor(idk maybe) 11)the secret was the hit and run of naomi (cara's sis) 111) apparently no
Ok but what happened to Naomi ward I started the second book from the series and I can’t remember what was that thing that pip did to protect her and cara And from her going to prison to I think????? Thanks in advance 🙏☺️
So max naomi and her frnds were drunk long time ago before andies death but max insisted on driving them home even though he was drunk and he hit a man by the car and they thought he was dead and left him there but later found out he was in a coma qnd later was paralysed. Naomi max and others coùld go to jail if police knew about that and apparently the killer knew about that and the killer blackmailed naomi sal and other frnds to change sals alibi qnd to tell the police he left at 10 15 when he actually left at 12 15 . But pippa finds out about sal leaving at 12 15 by photo posted by max in his false account (idk the name )and the pic showed that it was taken at 12 05 and since there were 4 people at maxs and 3 were in photo it was taken by sal and if pip showed that pic to police as proof to sal alibi naomi could go to jail So she protected naomi by not using the pics for sals case and cara by not sending her sis to jail since her mum was dead and she'd be all alone
