Such a delight & pleasure listening to Bill Walsh do color on the call for NBC: lucid, keenly insightful and exceptionally knowledgeable ~ alongside much~missed legendary Dick Enberg! Bet NBC was sorryyyy they could only keep Walsh for 3 seasons in their premier NFL~announcing duo.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the latest movies and series on Instaflixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last couple of months :)
This is to everyone that thinks Marino was just a stats guy. Teams win championships and this is why Marino didn't win championships, his teams were not good enough. He drives them for the winning score and the running game lets him down. During the 1989-1992, the Dolphins tried to run the ball. However, the running game was always average to poor. Let's not even talk about the many times the Dolphin defense let him down.
We see Marino stalking the sideline a to the 7:50 mark; Yeah, Marino never quarterbacked a team that was a true Super Bowl-worthy team, it was all "hope for the best" stuff.
They just could not get it right for Marino, they finally decided to commit to the run after they drafted Sammie Smith, they built a pretty solid D as well,BUT both would fail them as the running game really was no improvement over his mid to late 80's unit and the D would let them down when they needed them the most, although if I were to pick one season I'd say the 92 Squad was the most solid all the way thru until the embarrassment in the AFC championship game vs Buffalo and honestly we will never really know how good that 93 team was gonna be cuz Marino went down so early in the season I think maybe 5 games in and a 3-1 Start or 4-1 and they were billed as the biggest challenge to the Bills and that 94 season in my mind was kind of the swan song for this Dan Marino era as he would start his decline with major changes 1 yr later
This game wasn't shown where I lived at the time so instead of watching the crappy game we were stuck with I listened to Harry Kalas call this game on Mutual Radio. This is actually the first time I have ever seen the full game - I had only ever seen highlights.
The “Sammie sucks” game. I was there and after the fumble the whole stadium started chanting Sammie sucks”. Kinda felt bad for him but he did the same exact thing the week before against kc
Well Houston was good that year and that Miami D pretty much were bottom feeders for most of Marino's career, but it wasn't his impatience that fumbled the ball at the goal line two in a row that year,
More 1991 Houston oilers game on UA-cam and 1992 NFL season Houston oilers game on UA-cam and 1993 NFL season Houston oilers game on UA-cam 😭😂 am sad and mad about it
@Shelby Shoup Arrested For Crack Me too, this is first time I ever saw the broadcast, I was surprised you couldn't hear the chant on the broadcast it was so loud. Also I had forgotten there was still 4 minutes left in the game after he fumbled, my recall was this was in the last few seconds. Horrible fumble the Marino could still have pulled it out if they got the ball back, plenty of time.

For whatever reason dolphins and oilers just always played gms like this even tho in this era they should have been shootouts, but NEVER were Both Marino and Moon just always seem to have bad gms against each other,If I'm not mistaken the nxt season they played a similar gm to this one,but warren moon was hurt and out for that gm!!
In 1994, Marino and Moon were involved in a 38-35 shootout (though Moon was with the Vikings). The game in 1992 bw Dolphins and Oilers, Moon was out bc of injury.
Correct - the Dolphins won the next year's game 19-16. The Dolphins and Oilers didn't play very often in those years - they just kept missing each other with the scheduling algorithm in use at the time. They only faced each other 3 times between 1987 and 1995.
I always thought Marino was overrated! Yes he was good until about 86, but then he just thought he could jam that ball into double and triple coverage. Just watching this game, Moon is having a terrible day, and Marino can't do a thing to help his team.
@Shelby Shoup Arrested For Crack + You definitely know your football! I would argue with people about Marino back in the day, and I just stopped because they were all into the passing records. If you pass 70% of the time, your going to break records.
@@PerpetualArt then watch the dolphins today and see how they are without him if he was so overrated. Johnson couldn't draft one decent rb and for all his genius couldn't do it by gutting shulas teams
@Shelby Shoup Arrested For Crack yeah that would have worked out seeing all the successful miami qbs since them. He wouldn't have made one playoff without Marino

I always thought how many Super Bowls would Dan have won if Pittsburgh would have drafted him.

The 91 oilers were probably the best team in the afc that year. Buffalo had an easy schedule, and denver had too many close wins, and no Receivers
But Denver beat them

Miami was so good at gifting bad teams wins. Sammie was a clown, Marino was impatient and that defense was always awful.

@PerpetualArt Under Marino they were average after 1984.
I don't think any Head Coaches liked Jerry Glanville lol
Its funny to listen to people bad mouth the run and shoot back then.and now ever one basically runs the run and shoot
Sammie did this so many times :(
