    Tiktok has the worst parents
    1. Van life parents
    2. Parents feeding their kids nothing but junk food
    3. Parents of sephora kids. And parent's who thinks it's a good idea for their 10 year olds and 5 year olds to use skin care.
    4. Ipad parents
    5. Boy moms
    6. Sad beige moms
    7. Parents who sexulized their kids
    8. Parents who humiliate their kids for clout
The lists goes on. Wtf is up with parent's this year? I'm not a parent but damn I feel bad for those kids.

The only time I've even heard of a half-birthday was when a friend was "pranked" by some of his friends exactly six months before his birthday. They got him half a cake and sang him the birthday song but with half the syllables missing. It was a light-hearted joke between adults, everyone had fun, and it was just for them and their friend and not for clout. Three-year-olds experience a lot of new things every day, you don't need to make their "half-birthday" that much of a hassle. It only makes them spoiled and self-centered.

I remember the first flight I took with my baby. I was 21 years old and she was like around 1. It was a 11 hours long flight.
At some point she started to cry and it was impossible to make her stop. I tried to feed her, play with her, walk with her in the aisle… nothing worked.
I could sense some tensions because of the noise, and even if I was fully aware it was not my fault nor my baby’s, I felt bad for the other passengers.
Surprisingly, people started to gather around us to sing songs, play, give her cake, etc, and even after she stopped crying and was really happy and laughing like crazy they stayed a very long amount of time with us. Some people even took her in their arms to make her dance or amuse her. Is was a very beautiful interaction that could have been a really bad moment.
I often think of that flight when I feel like man is a wolf for man.

You did everything you could think of and those people appreciated the effort. They saw your struggles and helped out, which is amazing for all of you. Even if your baby won't remember the experience, that was great socialization for her. I'm happy that you had a great experience.
It's those parents who's kids are being little terrors, kicking chairs, making fusses if they don't get something their way and the parent is sitting there on the phone with headphones on completely ignoring the child that the other passengers get mad at. They only step up to do something when a fed up passenger has finally had enough and tells the kid to stop, usually to go "You can't talk to my kid like that!" Well, you aren't doing it, someone's got to! That's when things go to hell. My SO has vertebrae issues and was already in a lot of pain from just being in the chair. A kid was literally kicking it over and over. He told me not to do anything but I'd had enough and went 'Excuse me, can you get your kid to stop kicking his chair?" They'd rolled their eyes at me and did a shoo type wave at the kid's feet, did nothing and they did nothing afterwards until I sicced a flight attendant on 'em.

This is beautiful! I remember when I took a 3 hour train ride & my baby was crying, I was doing everything possible to calm her down and when the worker came up to me to ask if we were okay, people in the back just started yelling to kick us off the train at the next stop. It was a bunch of college aged kids, but still. Nobody tried to help, nobody defended us. After a while of people mocking my baby crying (making her cry even more) my husband snapped and asked if they could be anymore inconsiderate. They told the lady that he threatened them (he did not) and she said that if we don’t stop talking the rest of the ride that she will listen to their advice and kick us off at the next stop. It was the most humiliating thing ever. I was a young mom, balling my eyes out with my 3 month old baby, not even able to verbally console her because I was afraid of us being kicked off the train, in the middle of winter, with no money and over an hour away from anyone we knew. I just sat silently and cried the rest of the ride, feeling helpless while rocking my crying baby. People just laughed and scoffed as they walked by. I was genuinely scared someone was going to spit on us or something like that, they were so vile. Haven’t taken a train since.

The dad hitting the deck is 100% renovating it. If he was swinging at it in a rage, he would be swinging wildly and aggressively with very little accuracy in the swings and showing obvious aggression, but in the video, he seems to use slower, thought-out and less forceful swings, as if he is avoiding splintering the wood and wants it all removed as cleanly as possible. This is 100% the wife making rage bait at her family’s expense for interaction on the internet. She’s definitely the problem here. That husband should be offended by how she slanders the father to her kids and one of (if not the sole) providers for her and her family because she values internet interaction over her own family. My grandma does, she's a retired midwife and loves babies. Everyone around are trying to convince the mom that it's okay and the mom is super grateful.

I don't like babies/kids in general. Screaming babies even more so; they just set something off in me at a base primal level. But if I see a parent struggling desperately to calm their kid down, doing everything they can to get the kid to stop screaming, the parent has my respect and sympathy. It can't be easy, and you can feel the embarrassment emanating from the parent. It's the parents who just let their little kids scream bloody murder and say "It's a baby, they cry" while doing nothing to soothe them that piss me off.

I'm a millenial parent with a 10 year old daughter and it's scary out there. My daughter has been asked multiple times by her peers what her skincare routine is and gets made fun of when she says she doesn't have one. The most we've done is gotten her a gentle face cleanser and a spa headband as a compromise so that she can feel like she has a "skincare routine" without any of the harsh treatments. We're very open and honest with our daughter so she's very aware that a skincare routine at this age is unnecessary and actively harmful, so thankfully she isn't begging us for one and she understands why we've set that boundary. But it's tough when the other girls look down on her because of that.

I made this point once online because I was talking about a kid wailing their head off in a *movie theater* and all the "mama bears" dogpiled me like "I'm not going to let some *childless* idiot tell me how to raise MY kids, if you came up to ME saying this, I'd be ready to fight!"
Like first off what does being childless have to do with it? Second, they didn't even know if I had a child or not, and third, just kinda proves what kind of parent they are.

I let my toddler get bored. The easier thing would be to let him watch the tv he wants, but if I don’t, he comes up with some amazingly creative games (usually around emergency rescue missions, like Paw Patrol) and plays for ages. I feel guilty at the start about not setting him up with endless craft things to do, but he’s developing his imagination this way, as I did as a kid, and then became a writer and was never bored

Millennial parent here and I don't let my kids have much screen time, they rarely get screen time. Yes it's okay for kids to be bored sometimes. When I say screen time I'm including TV and not just tablets, it's screen time as a whole. I believe in spending time with my kids and going fun places with them like the park, the library, museums, to a recreation center event, science and art events for kids, on hikes, etc. My kids play with Legos and draw to keep themselves entertained when at home. They are 5 and 6 years old. Kids don't need screentime. Screentime in moderation is okay, I just refuse to kill my kids brain cells and creativity by drowning them out with electronic devices. Also I don't understand changing the color of swing sets or anything else...I'm not a beige mom. About 1/2 of people in my generation parent the way I and my husband do. I think shows like Phineas and Ferb inspired me as a kid, though obviously I didn't build anything extreme like huge rollercoasters or robots 😭, because I don't live in a cartoon unfortunately. It was more like birdhouses, cardboard forts, small wooden or cardboard (rubberband powered) cars, dollhouses out of boxes, keychains, a go kart where I used my cousin's old Barbie jeep battery (it was passed down to me), etc. I even remember trying and failing at making a vending machine out of a box. Boredom is good it teaches you to be resourceful and learn how to entertain yourself. Watching something in the car isn’t good for you, can create motion sickness problems as they get older. I was a reader I LOOOVED to read but I never did it in the car. I stared out the window or took a nap, I had an iPod shuffle-no screen so just listened to my music and spaced out.
I remember when those cars with the dvd players in the backseats came out, before iPads were accessible to the everyday person -they used to be wildly expensive and no one would even dream of giving a toddler one. I think that’s when I knew things were getting bad. People didn’t wanna hear their kids in the car which is fine I get it the constant crying asking for things etc can get annoying on long trips but you have kids, that’s your life now they’re gonna be annoying. I also know someone who had a car with the dvd player and she used the dvd player everywhere they went. Even if it was just a 5 minute trip they had to make extra time to set up her daughters movie, inconveniencing themselves in the long run. Daughter is 14 and acts like she’s about 5 because she doesn’t get the attention she needs parents give her a new electronic when she asks for it and keep their noses buried in theirs.

One of my childhood friends celebrated their half bday when we like 6/7, and we would just gather up at his place, eat a few cookies, and share some laughs. He didn’t have cakes, or presents, or a party. It was just like a play date, but kind of special. I have never HAD a half birthday party, and although it was a bit of a weird concept, it was fun. But this 3 and a half year old is getting more cake than most people on their ACTUAL birthday 💀 anyways, I love ur editing. And you look so pretty, love ur hair :))) anyways, I know you won’t see this, but I’m always going on your channel to see if u posted again.. Ty for making my days all the time

I’ve heard of half birthdays, they’re sort of a big thing in the states. they’re basically the exact opposite of the day you were born. Like if your birthday was in December, your half birthday would be in June. But I generally think anyone who celebrates that is probably spoiled.

Flying for babies amd small children can be hard on them. The change of pressure in their ears, the feeling of force when taking off, and other physical feelings that happen on a plane. It's the reason some cry the whole time. We as adults may not notice a lot of them. I was lucky to have a baby who immediately went to sleep on the plane. A lot of parents are not so lucky. Give people a break. Everyone owns headphones, bring them with you. ***This is coming from a person who can't stand constant noise.

It's absolutely an old wives tale or "home remedy" type thing but I've only ever heard of it being specific to women who just gave birth (within the last few months) and infants. And you don't just use it for "a tiny breakout" or pimple- a lot of women will get a rash of hormonal acne as their body chemistry basically goes kaput after giving birth. It can cause horrible breakouts that even get painful. And the urine is from the infant who is at that point still just drinking breast milk or formula. The urea in it apparently can help clear it up a bit. As one person said, creams with urea are fairly inexpensive and widely available but that is now- this was not always the case. Even 20 years ago you'd have to look hard to find a skin cream with urea and it definitely was not cheap. You'd usually have to visit another doctor- a dermatologist you couldn't afford because you just had a baby - and get a prescription cream to clear it up. Now you can get it for less than 20 bucks from Amazon and have it at your house in 2 days. It's amazing that people seem to not remember that the world you have now was not the world even 20 years ago. And btw- urea cream is great for your feet. I never had to use it for acne (though my sister did and that sh*t cost a bundle back then) but now I order it and it helps keep the dry, dead skin from building up. Which is great if you go around your house barefoot a lot, which I do.

Half birthdays are actually fairly common to acknowledge in the US. Usually its for kids to be able to say 'im 6 and half' or whatever. It is very rare that these are treated even close to a birthday. Its also not considered cool to actually celebrate and how little you acknowledge it is a point of pride for some reason. The fews kids who do celebrate it usually get bullied out of it.

Yes but saying "I'm X and a half" isn't celebrating or even acknowledging a "half birthday". It's just saying your age, meaning you're closer to the next year's age than the last one. I'm not sure people understand what "acknowledge" means if they think a kid saying that means the same thing as making a note or declaring it on a specific day, which would be what "acknowledging a half birthday" consisted of.
