      I always think this. Because so many people who've gone down the carnivore path are older people in their 60s+ who are consuming pounds of strictly fats and meats a day. And refuse to listen to anyone who tells them that's a trip down coronary lane or their doctors freaking out at their blood tests. All because a UA-camr said cholesterol numbers don't mean anything so long your a1c numbers are down, you've lost weight drastically and "inflammation".
      Any excuse, any crash diet not to eat veggies and cut down on ultra-processed foods.

      I would say so, because I’m an optimistic misanthrope, wanting the world to get better, even though I don’t like people currently, and i’m open to working on my personality to be the best version of myself. MEANWHILE, here’s these psychotic people being aggressive misanthropes, manipulating the masses, wanting the worst for them, and acting like they’re good people and sooooo perfect, and harming everybody in the process. Tbf we mainly ate majority meat. The reason is because fruits and veggies do not have enough calories to solo support life. It's why organisms love glucose so much. Easy to digest and 0% is wasted. Like spinach for instance is all carbs but due to it being 95% cellulose we only get 5% of its calories.

    • @user_friendly_9388

      @@BronzedBeast This is why we have obesity. Because our brains are wired to look for easily digestible foods high in sugars, but we can make better decisions than that if we have a little willpower, being on Keto for years I have no sugar cravings, but I did notice I stopped losing weight being on a anti metabolic resistance diet (basically carnivore diet for the most part), so I re introduced cutting periods (more carbs). That helped me lose weight more often without getting sick, or having cravings.
      If you plan things out and set boundaries you can enjoy the benefits without going all out in one direction, for example I did get sick because I was on such a strict non-fruit based period my Vitamin C was so low I got headaches and colds, so everything has to be balanced or else it will damage your body as well.

    Fun fact: bone broth being “gelatinous” when cold is the mark of really good bone broth because that means you really took the time to extract the collagen from the joints and connective tissue on the bones! According to the Mayo Clinic, this collagen may support the health of your skin, nails, hair, and joints as you age!
    As a culinary student, making bone broth is also a great way of using up vegetable scraps and leftover meat bits! (Make sure to roast your broth bones for extra flavor!) This delicious stuff may take a while, but it’s a major building block for many recipes!

Things like organ meats and bone marrow are actually incredibly nutrient dense, but if it’s all you eat you’re getting a lot that you shouldn’t as well. Or how animal fats are actually a lot less bad for you than people think (especially poultry fat, which barely has more saturated fat than cottonseed oil). People actually would be healthier and more environmentally friendly if they ate more of the animal than just the muscles, but these people just add even more stigma to that.

    • @GogiRegion
      @GogiRegion 2 місяці тому

      @@BornRemaining To be fair, medium and short chain saturated fatty acids are metabolized through a different pathway than long chain saturated fatty acids. Saturated fat chain length has MASSIVE effects on how it's utilized in the body, with medium and short length going straight to the liver for energy expenditure unlike long chain that are digested normally. Medium and short length tend to raise HDL more while raising LDL less. Coconut oil is a blend of long and medium while lard is just long. It's FAR more nuanced than you're making it out to be.

    My mom has major untreated mental illness (or treated by becoming a born again Christian 😮‍💨) and has done every crash diet including keto and now carnivore for the last couple of years, and the delusion to say this is how our ancestors ate when like 70% of their diet was plants, fruits and nuts is just showns a lot about the level of dissonace and fear mongering against this idea of being controlled. I've smelt some of the most disgusting smells especially tallow and seen absolute abominations of meals. She quits it every couple of months because it's completely unsustainable, and then starts it up saying she'll be skinny soon just with blocked arteries. 1:19 as a self proclaimed history buff, early humans were omnivores, most humans still are. While we were hunter gatherers, sure we would still eat a lot of meats, but we also had our fair share of berries and fruits too. In many civilizations throughout history, meat eventually became something that mainly the upper class would eat or only eaten for special occasions. At least the non dried meat. Most families would likely live off of breads and whatever common fruits and vegetables were available while also having dried strips of meats that were likely used more as surplus and stock for when famine or other readily available foods were not available due to winter or low crop yield.
    Actually, even in the animal kingdom animals who are typically called carnivores or herbivores also can and WILL eat meats or plants if given the option. For example, in some regions around the world cows have been seen to chew on bones or even snakes for missing nutrients.
    While humans *can* live almost exclusively on meat or on fruits/veggies, this is only because of the society we live in. If something were to happen to the world and anarchy reigned, those people would have to diversify again or starve to death. And since most of human history was not anywhere as stable as today is, our ancestors, unless they were very very rich, had to have a little bit of everything.

They had nothing to cauterize it, so I had a choice between a chemical called TXA or cocaine. Yes. They offered cocaine in liquid form pressed into my nose. Clearly if you eat well and exercise and still feel terrible something else is going on. Could be something like hypothyroidism, PCOS, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, or some other physical medical condition. OR it could be psychosomatic from depression, anxiety, or high stress levels. Saying it’s just daily products you use could delay that person from getting medical treatment.

    Mostly calories in calories out. P.s it is actually better for you than a bowl of grapes because it doesnt spike your insulin.
    Rapid insulin spikes especially in the morning can cause diabetes. And low energy through the day. Eggs, steak and a piece of toast is the perfect balanced breakfast.
    I went from 230lbs to 188lbs.
    Tldr: healthy eating is moderation, most people dont know how to do it.

    • @Jane-ow7sr

      Exactly, my mom knows this stuff and I'm trying to implement it because I gained so much weight after I moved across states to get married (my husband's family has a horrific diet) but you're absolutely right.
      You're also right about people not understanding moderation and I think the same thing can be said about most of these younger comments who don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject and see something gross they should avoid without really digging into why people do these things even if the crazier ones go to the extreme of the 'diets'.

    • @phionex54
      @phionex54 7 місяців тому +2

      @Jane-ow7sr a change in your diet is always hard to implement at first! I did small steps first, like, no juice for the first week.
      I want to say I believe in you! And i know you can do it. If i did it, I know anyone can. Good luck on your journey and remember to love yourself. Even if you gain or lose, you deseve to be happy! Much love.
      People dont realize sugar acts like cocaine to the brain. Triggers the same dopamine response.
      When you withdraw from any drug, you feel like shit. Then you start to feel better.
      Your body isn't regecting the diet. You're litterally withdrawing from sugar.
      Also, people dont realize you dont count the fiber in the carbs, so if something is 23 grams of carbs, (which is all the brain needs to function in one day.) And is 3g of fiber technically you are only eating 20g of carbs.
      Anything less then 23g of carbs a day will hurt you.
      Also, low carb doesnt mean bacon and sausage and lunch meats, those arent good for you. It's supposed to be chicken and steak.
      And lastly the only time changing your diet doesnt work for everyone is if you have dietary restrictions.

    • @qwmx
      @qwmx 7 місяців тому +2

      True. People need to be aware that what's recommended, may not necessarily work for everyone, but what is recommended can be a template to work off to develop a diet that fits them. I'm on a low fat and low carb diet with high protein, I cut down on sugar to the point I only get it from fruit, but that didn't work out for me, but I slowly added back in sugar to test at what minumum of sugar I needed so my body wasn't dead weight (I was mentally fine but I was weak, blood tests came back with everything normal). My guess is that my brain needs a bit more sugar for processing so relying purely on fruit will not suffice. I slowly added in small amounts in my diet until I managed to get a good estimate of the minimum amount I needed so my body doesn't feel like deadweight to me. That's my experience anyway. I managed to lose weight.

    Actually the black non stick teflon is bad for you it does come off the pan and leaks into your feed. Same with tin foil you should use aluminium cookware and the chemicals in the plastic isn't good but that's not an easy one to replace.
    Stainless steel, cast iron, ceramic the right ceramic anyway are all the best options.

    • @Abutado
      @Abutado 7 місяців тому +2

      So Teflon actually doesn't leak into your food if it's completely intact. The moment you scratch it, that's when you're exposing yourself to it and it's very bad for you. I stick to cast iron, enamel coated (again not scratched), ceramic, and stainless. I have one Teflon pan that's rarely used (grandma insisted we take it and yeah sometimes cast iron is too much work).

But this will take a bad toll later and the consequences of such a one-sided and, let's be honest, boring diet will be unpleasant. And blocked arteries, kidney stones and high cholesterol levels are sometimes the most harmless.

    • @BronzedBeast
      @BronzedBeast 5 місяців тому

      Not true. You don't get enough calories to survive off plants. A majority of your diet was fat and dried meats. Not saying we didn't gather, just saying how the laws of thermodynamics work and life is sustained on calories. It's not possible to forage enough plants in an area to feed a village. It's not even reasonable enough to feed one person. You don't have the stomach capacity to hold the amount of veggies youd need to remain in a healthy weight
