    Jason great video as always.
    I started ear training pretty late despite hearing over and over that I can't do it.. well I would not say I have done it yet. But progressed a lot...
    I can identify the chord qualities whenever it's being in isolation. Even if there are some borrowed chords .
    But I am still struggling with it when I am trying to figure out chords in a song.
    With an instrument it's easy for me. But not if I sit without the instrument as a reference.
    Sometimes even simple chords like major and minor triads become difficult.
    I guess it's a process and I have to wait more.

    Myself as a self learned guitarist, you have cleared almost all of the doubts I had for years...!
    But I have one doubt. I do plays guitar in my church(with keyboardist). Sometimes we plays songs without preplan. So, as you told here 24:30 some places we can have two or three chord choices in one place/measure.
    So, if the keyboardist plays a Dm and I (Guitar) plays a Bb; is it musically wrong? Will it creats a clash?. If it is wrong, how we can deal it?. Or do we have to preplan?
    I hope that you understood my doubt.
    Thanks again ❤

    Merci beaucoup for this. I never learned to play well with others, I have never harmonized with anyone, and I don't have music in my head. So I have to learn after my retirement.
    Singing the bass note was the most important tip you gave. I looked on my app and found that I was much closer than I've been doing for the last weeks.
    This is going to be my homework for the next several years.

    You have licence to play all songs in a teaching environment, so not just playing songs, but using them to teach, as far as I know it’s universal

    • @boldvoltage639
      @boldvoltage639 Рік тому

      It's absolutely okay. But, UA-cam still pulls it or demonetizes... And let's you appeal to fix. Plus there are companies out there that scan the audio and report you for a bounty to the rights holder. There is still the exception for education in Copyright law, but most don't care because there is no penalty for being wrong about protected content.

    i think when you told that to listen to the landing note and then choose from the three chords. isn't that the hardest thing to do? i mean I think it is more easier to judge the chord then a particular note. i want to clear my doubts. save me jason!
