    I am better understanding Tiffany’s passion for Clara and Robert Schumann after hearing her performance of different compositions by this couple. As one who loves classical music I had not been exposed to Clara and Robert to any great degree. Listening to Tiffany perform a Clara Schumann piece on Clara’s piano has been an epiphany. BEAUTIFUL. 🎼🎹❤️👍

      Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way to Heaven. We've all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins like lying, lusting, etc. Repent and trust only in Jesus, and you will be saved! You can be saved because he took the punishment for our sins on himself when he died on the cross, just like someone can pay your speeding fine in court, and you get off free.

      Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way. We deserve Hell because we've sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.

      What structure have designed Clara in that piece? What's the harmony behind it? If you really appreciate this piece, you can easily answer this sort of questions.

    • @JP-ku5hw

      @@terroir225 Well, I'm afraid you got the wrong end of the stick. I'm just claiming that the musical theory and the structure of a piece are connected in some sense. Of course you can enjoy a piece without those factors, but you'll deeply understand a piece when you identify this sort of details).
      But that's true. I didn't read a degree in philosophy at University and my questions were about a certain MUSICAL aspect (rhythm, harmony, structure...), not about philosophical and subjective problems..

    You are so damn talented it almost discourages me from becoming a pianist. The colors you bring into your playing and the control in your playing is just spectacular. You know exactly what to bring out in your playing, what the composers were thinking in each measure, and which emotions to bring out where and when. I geniuenly think you are one of the best of this generation

    Clara Schumann's composition output stopped because of her struggle for Robert, for their seven children and for her most impressive career as a concert pianist to keep up the family after Robert's early death. Today we still can appreciate the beautiful pieces she wrote as a girl and a young woman. Your intuitional and artistic way of getting into the composer's mind and your fantastic playing help us to do that.

It is interesting you described it in the short essay afterwards as 'bare', because it does sound simple, in some sense, but it is in a very austere and beautiful way. Almost like a pre-Bach baroque composer but writing in the 1800s idiom. Very very neat! I should give Clara Schumann a visit

    Wow! Absolutely amazing, Tiffany! What a special experience it must be to play this piece on a piano Clara herself once owned. I really enjoyed your reflection towards to end of the video; I think your words speak to the kind of musician you are. To be able to acknowledge some of the misgivings you had about Clara's nocturnes in comparison to Chopin's, and then to be able to learn, grow, and perform them at this high of a level is a testament to not only your musicianship, but to the kind of person you are.
    As a clarinetist, I do not get to perform a lot of works by either of the Schumanns. However, through my additional piano studies, I've begun to understand them more and appreciate the genius of their music. I hope to keep learning and growing, just like you! :)

Reminiscent of things to come in the future and being okay with things of the past. Clara's compositions were (and still are) superb, in many ways much more unique than Schumann's. She stopped herself to evolve as a composer exactly the same day she got married to Robert, to devote her life to him. Actually, she thought that a woman is utterly unable to compose at the same level as a man. She was a much better pianist than Robert and could have been a much better composer. In fact, she was the first professional pianist to behave in the same way a modern concert pianist behaves. By the way, the nocturne in F major was composed when she was sixteen.

    • @JP-ku5hw
      @JP-ku5hw 3 роки тому +3

      Where did you find this sort of ‘information’?
      At the end of his life R. Schumann designed pieces for a big orchestra and he somehow innovated his own style.
      And meanwhile Clara, just a talented woman, composed some pieces for one instrument and he didn’t change his music at all.
      That’s the difference between a great artist and a good pianist).

      Clara being a much better pianist than Robert is a hard no. Clara was undoubtedly amazing, and I do mean Amazing with a capital A ,even the most misogynist of men from her era would not dare deny her talent but Robert was a monster of a composer and innovator of the Romantic style of music.
